SAP HCM is a part of the SAP ERP Solution that focuses on Human Capital Management and provides a comphrensive solution to people resource
It is used by the HR departments to optimise hiring and rewards and also helps to best utilize people resource.

It is in effect 1 software suite that covers talent mgt processes , strategies, etc with the underlying factor being the company's objectives and goals

It automates payroll, time management etc and intergrates it with other parts of the business i.e finance etc. It also help with reporting in regards to compliance requirements etc

But why do ask as in from what perspective , a career ?

Education / Re: Masters In Finance by ama27(f): 11:35am On Jun 17, 2008
i can tell u for 1 thing if he doesnt do ACCA he can forget about being an accountant. At the same time he needs to go into Finanace for the right reasons, does he wantto go into a banking career, if so then yes to finance. Also he is better off doing a combined finance course i.e acct and finance, investment finance etc. Inter national Finance makes u limit urself.

Another thing is the with a 2:2 from Nigeria. he doesnt have that many schools to choose from anyway
Also has he taken into acct accomodation etc. You havent answered the question about finances as this plays a key role in decison making

@blah
have u tried look for sap trainee roles via jobserve, i might be outside lon or anywhere in the uk? that way u would get some on the job exposure to sap .
also look at help.sap.com it gives alot of info about sap and read up from there first before spending money

Romance / Re: Would It Have Been Better If I Had Burst His Head On The Process? by ama27(f): 8:54pm On Jun 12, 2008
Well since she is 17 (i wont say just 17) I think the best thing you can do is speak to hear give her the pros and cons of being sexually active because u cant control but you can prepare her for it. also have another female speak to her about it so that she can have a female perspective.
I would say its better to equip her with the info and knowledge so she can make an informed decision as she would take a decison anyway
Romance / Re: Never Knew Marriage Could Be This Boring by ama27(f): 8:46pm On Jun 12, 2008
@nezrest

i think the main prob is that
1. ure not working
2. U need to have a life outside that of ur husband.

i assume u had one before u got married. friends, social life, career etc.
am sure once u start working u wont even have enough time to spend with ur husband.
what i can i can advise is even if u havent got the job u would like yet, find something productive u can do in the meanwhile.
Try ur hand as starting a small business or studying a language or something
i think its a bit unfair for u to expect ur husband to entertain u 24-7 , he sef has his life . ( when u were younger and living with ur parents did they entertain u ?)

Education / Re: Masters In Finance by ama27(f): 2:09pm On Jun 12, 2008
sorry Sagamite i just saw ur quick question now. I can here straight after my nigerian degree started in a UK uni
Education / Re: Masters In Finance by ama27(f): 2:07pm On Jun 12, 2008
'is really not about where u went to school. its about how u can sell yourself'
my emphasis being on really not , so in other words its not a hundred percent about where u go, and i think u agree with that.

i have seen people here who go to the best schools and still waste years looking for a job , a good school is not a guarantee to a good job. i have a cousin who had a 2:1 from Uni of Nottingham in Engineering , and did a masters at Imperial he spent 1 year looking for a jobwhen he didnt get one he moved back to nigeria in frustration. He also did not have work permit issues as he is british.

What am saying is i agree with Sagamite, the kind of school is important BUT it is not an overiding factor.

My emphasis is that is he sure Finance is the right course for him , where does he want to work eventually? as in what kind of job market. so that he does nott waste his money.

He needs to be sure not just go with a course that looks and sounds good.

also as sagamite said he needs to find At least an average school for the course he is interested in.

Go to the league table on Education Guardian

http://education.guardian.co.uk/universityguide2006/0,,1595180,00.html

and u have on there the league table depending on the course.

Education / Re: Masters In Finance by ama27(f): 9:51am On Jun 12, 2008
@Sagamite
i dont agree with u, working in the uk is really not about where u went to school.  its about how u can sell yourself and i dont think Nigerian Universities can even be compared to ANY UK university (ive been to both so i can say)
Alot of graduates in Nigeria cannot compete on a global platform if they rely on what they are taught in Nigerian Universities

How does your advice help this bloke?

Education / Re: Masters In Finance by ama27(f): 9:52pm On Jun 11, 2008
@willyede
For ur cousin he needs to be sure that he doesnt just jump at the first UK school he finds that does a masters in finance.
is he sure he wants to even do finance? what sort of job market does he want to end up in? from there he can trace his steps and find the right course
You said he studied Accounting, is he no longer intrested in acct, if he is then his best bet is not finance.

I know this because i have got a masters in finance from a UK university and i have good knowledge of the market
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Bat Salary Enquiry by ama27(f): 9:45pm On Jun 11, 2008
