Nairaland / General / Opay Shocks Workers With 16-day Salary Pay For January by amaodu: 1:30pm On Feb 01, 2020
Chinese Internet Company operating in Nigeria, OPay gives workers the shock of their lives with the announcement of new policies regarding salary taking effect from January.

OPay in a newsletter sent to its staff mentioned clearly that the company will only pay a 16-day salary for the month of January – and this has sparked an air of rage from the workers.

The issued circular obtained by OduNews.com partly reads:

We bring to your notice that in a bid to harmonize the payment system of the entire OPay business unit, attendance for January has been closed on 20th January 2020. This is another adjustment to the attendance circle which was earlier announced to close at the end of the month. A new attendance circle started on Tuesday 21st January 2020 and will end on Thursday 20th February 2020.

January salary will only include 16 workdays after which the attendance circle will completely normalize. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause you. We are continually working to provide the best work for you this year.

Workers at OPay frown at this new development, referring to it as “breach of the highest order”.

“Lmao these people are so heartless, it always pays day they bring out new payment plan… I did 30 days with them sometimes last year… lmao I couldn’t fit anymore… I literally just walked out of the office on the 30th day”, one commented.

Another Twitter user even called on the EFCC to swoop into the issue.

A suspected ritualist has been nabbed broad-light at Obadeyi Ajala area of Lagos-Abeokuta expressway. There has resulted in slow movement of traffic from Abule-Egba down to Agbado Ijaye, Toll gate and Sango Otta as onlookers and mob had taken over the vicinity of the incidence.

According to reports made available to TalkGlitz, a passerby had heard female’s voice in early hours of Tuesday, August 8, crying for help. After noticing the cry was coming from the underground where the canal is linked at Obadeyi bus stop, Ijaiye Ojokoro, she had to call on others.

The police found their way to the scene at about 8.30 am. One of the eyewitnesses who spoke to TalkGlitz Media, claimed two suspects were involved. According to the eyewitness’s account, they were able to uncover the hiding place where the suspects carried out their evil acts with the aid of soldiers who evaded the secluded territory.

By 10.00am, the crowd had already tripled. Onlookers from Agege, Sango, Ifo had arrived Obadeyi area in Ojokoro to witness the incidence.

It took several hours to dig out the den where the suspects had hidden their victims. About two persons were rescued and taken to the hospital as they appeared unconscious.

One unexplainable thing that happened in the cause of the incident was an account of how the mob tried to lynch the suspects but failed. TalkGlitz had gathered that the crowd set ablaze one of the suspects but surprisingly to them, fire was burning all over his clothes but he appeared unhurt.

“The guy said there nothing they can do to harm him. Even some tried cutting him with machetes and all sorts of weapons but he wasn’t still hurt”, the witness said.

From all information gathered, none of the suspects was killed as the soldiers delivered them from the hands of the angry mobs. The only suspect they tried to burn alive was saved by self-acclaimed ‘juju’.

Story... Siddon there, something that been going on for over 8 years now. The only fact is that - you can't transfer ownership. So u maintain the details used in creating the account and just change the payee profile which Google Adsense policy allows.

JeffreyJamez:

It doesn't make it Advisable because it's against Adsense policy. And once google finds out, bye bye to that account.

From the AdSense Terms and Conditions,

18.10 You may not resell, assign, or transfer any of Your rights hereunder. Any such attempt may result in termination of this Agreement, without liability to Google.

NYSC / Good News! Corps Members Can Now Service Abroad, Says NYSC DG by amaodu: 2:18pm On Mar 26, 2017
There is a new development in National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) that has been applauded by many intending Corps members. The good news from the Director-General of the service explained how it has been established for Corps members to now serve abroad.

This started when the buzz of a Corps member spotted in the United States with the NYSC khaki was seen circulating the social media.

However, the DG has explained the reason for the new development as to foster the economy and maintain Corps members allowances due to high influx of ghost corpers. He mentioned that corpers will be allowed to do menial jobs like washing plates in McDonald’s, janitor, or babysitting to sustain themselves.

Eligibility:

– Only those posted to Ministry of Foreign Affairs are eligible to serve in any country of their choice except Ghana (of course we don’t know why Ghana is excluded).
– Corper will have to pay a sum of one hundred thousand, six hundred and fifty naira (N100,650) in cash; the N650 being processing fees.

Limitations:

Any Corps member that decides to stay back in the foreign country after the service year or engage in any illegal Greencard application, they will be penalized with a sum of $2,000 and requested to send invite for 5.
