According to reports, the Presidency has begun to shop for a replacement for the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Attahiru Jega.

According to Vanguard, the government has found Jega to be uncooperative and is seeking to replace him with a less independent-minded person to ensure that President Goodluck Jonathan is re-elected into office.

The first step of the plot was to secure the postponement of the elections before eventually booting out Jega who was “given the job on a platter of gold by the president’s men” but is now refusing to bend to the will of his “masters.”

Two brothers have been killed in the Ajegunle area of Lagos while scuffling for gifts that were shared by politicians who came to the area to campaign.
