Same happened to me. The school refer me to an hotel which I book and paid for accommodation reservation with the hotel. The embassy will accept it.

Oga, it was an opening I applied for and i was invited for aptitude test (paper and computer based), interview, then offer. I did a certification in UK which is relevant to the job. I could say it boost my application but in all, GodWin. I think I got the advert through Google Alert. The job is my priority for now, not traveling to Hungary.

I wasn't send any letter from the school through courier service. All the letters ranging from acceptance letter, payment confirmation letter, accommodation reservation letter, accommodation payment receipt and departmental citizen student letter were all sent to my email and I printed them out using coloured printer.

I got a mail from Hungarian Embassy that my visa is ready. I have replied them that I won't be able to make it on the pick up date and time. That I will be glad if the embassy can mail my passport and documents through courier service. Patiently waiting for their reply cos I replied them late.

What pissed me off about Nairaland is how people use to counter each other. Using words like there's nothing like this and that but that doesn't mean such doesn't exist because you didn't do it.
We might follow through the same entrance and our direction might be so different.
All embassies will state their required documents and other supporting documents. You attached documents that will support your visa application and someone will say there's nothing like that. I think individuals should address themselves base on what they submit.
Moreover, we have different status and going on different programme.
Did you know why I submitted my birth certificate? You don't know. I'm a Nigerian born in another country. I hold Nigerian passport with another place (out of Nigeria) as place of birth. What did you want me to convince the VO with that I was born there? I also authenticate and verify my results in order to avoid issue of forging or fabrication of result. I met a guy at the embassy that even attached Police Report but I never counter the guy because he felt it will support his visa application after the listed required docs. I did give him thumb up because it was stated in the visa application form if you ever commit crime, so the police report cover for his answer. If you now any documents aside from those required that will support your visa application, then submit it. I have current UK and Turkey Visa, I submitted documents that support my visa application when I applied aside from those required and I got it. The world is a stage, let everyone rock is dream.

I paid for the flight and if not successful, I will change it to another destination since I have 2 countries visa on my passport and I want to travel.

Yes, it is a must to forward your documents to their email before your interview date. Note, make sure you've package your documents before forwarding it to their email cos changing any documents for another after forwarding it to them mean "konakona". I forwarded mine 3 days to the interview.

In another news, I just got a juicy offer with a multinational company and I will be traveling to one of the schengen country for training. Studying in Hungary is now my second option . Make I kukuma wait for the visa outcome, if they issue me visa, I will defer the session and if they deny me, all na the same but am optimistic I will get the visa except if God say NO.

No problem if the business is not registered. It won't look suspicious once the documents submitted are authentic and can be confirmed when traced.

We don't bear a name in common. I did sponsor affidavit and also my uncle stated my ties with him in his letter headed paper he addressed to the embassy.

Even though the VO ask for proof of tieship or not, visa applicants have to submit all their original documents and photocopies with the embassy until after the visa process before they release it.

I don't know what type of business your mum is into but if she is into channel distribution like my uncle or trade with registered company, then that should not be a problem.
Nevertheless, the embassy is more interested in genuine stream of income with authentic documents backing it.
I will advice you to use your mum as sponsor if she have strong financial status and transaction on her statement and can also provide you with documents of what she do.

The VO asked: Who is sponsoring you?
Me: My maternal uncle.
VO: His job?
Me: He is a Major dealer with a multinational FMCG Firm.
VO: Did you have any documents supporting that?

Guys, after sending Acceptance letter and International passport to the embassy for booking, like how many days after will one get appointment? I haven't booked appointment yet.

Is it possible for the school to provide you proof of accommodation without payment? If yes in your case, then you're good to go. The school should be in better position to explain to the embassy why accommodation was reserved without payment when the embassy write to them to confirm the authenticity of the reservation.

For appointment, within 24 hours of working days.

If your school can provide you the health insurance it's best you go for that one.
I can't advise you about accommodation since i haven't been to the interview nor received visa lol. Although a friend of mine went early January didn't pay accommodation for university of debrecen because they issue a letter saying that the student have placement in one of their dormitories to facilitate visa procedures. You can ask your school the same, explain that it is only for visa application and they should help you.

@Jeffery09, thank God you said you won't advice and I pray you shouldn't advice that someone should not pay for accommodation.

@Gifs, the consular officer will ask you for accommodation reservation and proof of later backing the payment and reservation. Most of the schools in Hungary do state accommodation address on their acceptance letter but it has to be reserved after payment.

Yes, I attached a letter from the multinational company my uncle deal with which it was stated that he is one of their major dealer with x,Bleep,Bleep million naira sales volume in a week and month.
I also backed it up with sponsor affidavit, bank account statement, a written letter from my uncle with his letter headed which it was all stated that he is my sponsor and the family tieship with him.

I had the same problem with University of Pecs, they do provide health insurance but they say you must register in person at the school. They even gave me the email of the lady in charge, i mailed her many times she neva replied.
Thanksfully i secured and health insurance from an international insurance company, name is CIGNA. My dad arranged it so i dunno how it goes or how much nor if they have a branch in Nigeria. All i can say is it must be rather expensive.
Anyway google it, go to the website and get their contacts, they provide full coverage for the entire schegen area

I did my insurance with IGI Insurance in Lagos. Though, it is preferably to do it with Hungarian Insurance company but in all, the embassy accept both.

Nothing much at the interview, just make sure your answers correlate with the documents you submit. Also, don't fake or forge any documents. They do confirm the authenticity of applicants documents.

They do confirm the authenticity and if the bank statement was issued with the consent of the customer. It was the reason why a guy I met at the embassy was rejected.
