Dear All, if you're going to Hungary to study and work (self sponsored), you have to work hard and do your mathematics very well cos e no easy but it is possible to get it done. Their economy no dey laugh at all but nevertheless, I meet some Nigerians getting it done and Dem no get two heads.

I meet two guys that do travel to Vienna every weekend to work and come back to Budapest on Monday. One is in his final year and the other is currently doing his MSc. Very cool headed guys. They told me that they came in with visit visa through Greece, and small small dem land for Hungary. A lot of stories when you meet guys. That one no mean say make you go do wetin you go fall hand o! Another man food is another man poison. I'm not preaching corner corner way but some ways dey take person to his dreamland.

I used my uncle as my sponsor too. Though am an orphan and my uncle has been my guardian for years. Not only so, I attached his and my bank statement which I have close to 7m. There's inflow and outflow of cash on my statement (not that the money was deposited once). The 2 companies he deal with as their distributor wrote letter and address it to the embassy stating that he is my guardian and am responsible for managing his business. I attached my ID card of customer representative with the companies. Having the same surname and address also help. I also attached sponsorship letter and the company letter used before for my previous visa application.

I said it on this thread that I submitted more documents than what the embassy required and someone bash me. If you have any documents that will support your visa application irrespective of what the embassy required, attach it and submit it to them.

The same thing when I said the interview was somehow rigourous for me, someone said "na simple questions na". Yes, the questions are simple but I took my time to convince the VO. He even call the Nigerian woman to come and listen to me. Even though the visa decision comes from Budapest, mine is to convince the VO on each documents submitted.

Glory be to God. I'm traveling to Bristaslavia in Slovakia with my Ghanaian - Austrian female friend to visit her uncle. We will be heading to Vienna, Austria on Sunday to visit her Dad. We are feeling each other in our heart.

It was the same mail every applicants received from the embassy. You either get your passport with the visa stamped or with visa denial letter stating the reason why your visa application was denied.

I have differ my admission till next session. I will be coming back to Lagos next week.

In Budapest now. Arrived late yesterday night. I lodged at a hotel close to the airport with an American lady. She said Nigerians are talented that a Nigerian was the overall best in in her University when the year she graduated back 10 years ago. We share the same room but different bed. Nothing happen between me and her o! It's morning now, waiting for my friend to come and pick me up.

It doesn't mean you have been granted visa. Until you see the visa stamp on your passport page.

If you're not in Abuja, don't stress yourself traveling there.
You can get the nearest DHL or UPS office close to you, pay for your documents/passport pick up, then you mail the embassy that the courier service will pick it up for you. I did the same too.

I was in Lagos when I got their mail on Friday, I went to DHL office to make payment (N4,850) for my documents/passport pick up on that same Friday which I mailed the embassy that DHL will pick it up for me. DHL picked it up on Monday and I got it on Tuesday.

Brother, there are some questions in the visa application form that I'm not really clear with.
* " For what period and purpose are you applying for resident permit ". I know the purpose to be study but what period are they talking about cos they put date space there ?
* " Last permanent residence abroad"----I do not have any permanent residence abroad, should I have to leave it blank?
* "Monthly amount of scholarship"------ I don't have scholarship either, leave blank?
* "Any additional income/asset" ---- I only have one sponsor and I have written down the closing balance in the area asked " Available Savings "
I would be happy if you can answer these questions quickly.

Period of residence permit is 3 yrs for BSc, 1 or 2 year for MSc. It depend on the duration of your programme.

Leave the permanent address blank.

Monthly Scholarship, I put my monthly spending when I applied.

Any additional income, I put yes and I stated the amount.

Guys im currently not in Nigeria and i need to pay the visa fee, do i have to do it in person or can i have someone pay it for me and just bring the receipt?
im planning to come back the day before my interview so i won't have time to do it myself.

You can pay it for yourself or someone can pay it for you too, then you come forth with the payment teller to the embassy on your interview/appointment date.
