@Jenny,what is their objective for calling people for medical when they are not willing to give visa, i don't wish to submit with medical because for me and my wife is very costly hoping to do it on request by the embassy but if calling for medical has nothing to do with granting of the visa then is better to lodge with the medical at the same time

Can they deny visa after they have called you for medical even though your medical is ok?

page 24 of the visa application said somefin like members of your family unit are your partner and any dependent children of you or your partner who are unmarried, not in defacto relationship and who have not turned 18 years of age. what does this mean??

The meaning is that you can include any of your family member in case you are married with children less than 18 years so that they will be eligible to join you any time of your choice without much problem

^^^^^ That is number 24 not page, Note that, any dependent that you included in that section, will increase your financial requirements for living expenses whether they are going with you or not.

Chubi4show: Even as a prospective master student applying for a student visa, he is required 2 submit photocopies of all his educational qualification (waec, transcript or degree cert etc) to DIAC for assesment.

My advice to everyone is don't submit what you are not asked,work with your checklist,@Kmontee, why do you need ssce cert. When you are going for masters,police clearance is not part of visa requirements for student visa unless requested by the department

lawland: I have clarified the issue with my case officer, she said its auto generated and since I have done medicals, I shouldn't worry about it. Guys, I am in Lagos right now hoping to meet my sponsor anytime soon.. Wish me luck..

Congratulations, at least its good to let us know so that we the prospective applicants will gather moral. I like your plans,i also have the same intentions like yours. God will help us all.So they can grant visa for that long before school resumption, that is interesting,i never get my visa yet but will be applying soon

lawland: My Dear this is suppose to be good news cos they requested for medicals too but the lil problem now is that my cousin left East his morning for Lagos and will be traveling to UK from there.. He won't be back till Nov and I am given ultimatum till 1/11/2013. I don't know what to do..

Why not send it to his email then he can print,sign and scan back to you to push it. Is the letter for financial verification?

Is it only one hospital is nominated for the medical in Lagos

In addition to what Lawland said, try to get admission before writing ielts so that you can meet up with february entry, as soon as you make your ielts then send it to them with other conditions to met such as payment of your tuition deposit and health cover then it doesn't take much time for colleges to issue coe then you can lodge your visa before the end of november. Me personally dont like to do any thing with private institutions because they can easily be close down and during refund it is always difficult,this is just my personal view and experience

I think march is not far, so it is almost 3 months, i doubt that they may issue visa more than 3 months to resumption. Is your own application up to 2months? @Lawland
