Hi Amiablekeezy, It's advisable that you hold a reasonable amount of money as some people in the past were asked at the Point of entry to declare the amount with them.
Thank you. I arrived Dublin yesterday. I was asked at the point of entry if i have cash. I told him yes but he didn't ask me to declare it.

Please, I have another question. Orientation starts Feb. Can I request for my Edu bond now before orientation starts next week? Thanks

Man, hold around 500€ as cash if you have because you can’t access your bond immediately you get here.
You need money to buy foods and transport yourself
Thanks but I have that sorted out.

My question is, is it important to travel with cash? And how much is OK? Thanks

I doubt if that will be adequate. Even if you have funds over there in the form of an education bond, you won't get access to it immediately you get there and it might take you several days if not weeks to have access to it so you need funds to spend in the foreseeable future. However, if you have funds in your card(domicilary) you might be asked to show proof of that.
I have relatives over there and I'll be staying with them. Just asking about cash at hand. I already have my accommodation and feeding sorted out.

My question is, is it important to hold cash when traveling?

If yes, pls like how much is OK to hold. Will 30-50 euros be OK?

You are one of the lucky people getting gnib appointment before getting here. Wait till your appointment time then go get your one year permit. Till then you can't work or travel out of Ireland but cannot be deported for that reason. Most of your mates may not get till april or may.
Yea. Thanks.
I heard its faster if its done over there. So, I told my friend who lives in dublin, who then helped secure the date.

Okay. Thanks for explaining. I understand better now

It only means you can't travel out of Ireland until GNIB/IRP is sorted.
OK. Thanks

Hi Kayode, I'm currently pursuing my masters in Trinity as well and Trinity won't ask for your visa details. so I guess he wanna use it for her portfolio and that's a decision you have to make on whether to give her or not.

Regards
Thanks for the info. God bless you
I won't release it cos there's no guarantee that my details will be protected.

The school does not need your Visa page for anything. They already have a way of knowing when visa is granted to a student that applied to them. She needs it for the obvious reason you stated. I'll say, if you decide to send it, cover your details yourself. You could also tell her the reason you did so, that would help her with future clients. It's important to protect the privacy of her clients and she needs to start doing that. Congratulations.
Exactly. I think at this stage I just need to face her and tell her the reason why I can't send it. She isn't professional at all. She sent waec, date of birth, statement of account, every single documents of clients that was submitted to the embassy to me as sample. That was when I made up my mind not to send my documents to her.

Thanks for the advise. God bless you all

[quote author=Chikaokafor1 post=84560227]In my own opinion, you have two options. Cover the details yourself and send to her or snub her full time Cuz I don't see the reason why the school needs to see your visa

Thanks for the advise. Exactly what I did. But she started shouted on the phone telling me that does she want to eat my details. That the school needs it. Bla bla.

Hello everyone. My name is kayode. I got visa to study in TCD last month. School starts in January.

Pls I need help. After getting visa, will the school request for a copy? My agent said I should send a copy to her since last month that the school wants to see it. I don't want to give her cos she sends other clients documents and visa page to me without covering their details.

She doesn't protect the privacy of her clients. I feel she only needs a copy to include in her portfolio.

Pls advice me, have been posting her since November but she's not letting me to rest.

Pls kindly give an advice. Thanks

If a house officer gets an offer from osuth, Hsc lagos, Fmc Ebute metta, Hmb Akure and Eksuth which is the best to pick?
Thanks
