What he says about legacy is true |
IkpuMmadu:Igbos, for the most part, do not have kings. And they have said this with pride over the years... "Igbo enwe eze" Don't know if I spelled that correctly. |

It is true that the numbers do not add up but that does not make him a terrorist. It is if he supports terrorism that he becomes a terrorist. For eg, if he supports the fulani herdsmen and such. |

AxxeMan:But you know that the state boundaries did not take into consideration ethnic boundaries. Thus you have some Igbo communities in Kogi state. Some people who for all intents and purposes are Igbo, in Rivers State, Igbos in Delta state And so on and so forth. They may be minority but we all know that this is how the states where created by the military (without regard for the ethnic groups being carved off here and there into different states). |
I initially felt that Uche Secondus did not have the political capacity to steer the PDP aright. My thinking was that if he did emerge, he would weaken the PDP as the south west may not work congruently with the rest of the pack. My thinking was that it would make the PDP look like a regional party (kind of APGA or the ACN). However, hearing Wike speak on Channels TV however, there is a good case for someone like Secondus to emerge because he is not affiliated to any PDP clique within the South West. The South West candidates all have inner south western PDP cliques to which they lean or belong. The emergence of any of one will to some degree enhance the fractures that already exist between disagreeing big PDP personalities who already do not really see eye-to-eye to some degree. Thus Uche Secondus can easily act dudiciously on matters arising within the region without unnecessary influence from any of the existing western PDP factions. And moreover, it is just an administrative position. It is not the real face of the party. The more significant faces of the party will be those who end up picking the presidential and vice presidential ticket? If he can do a nice and unbiased job, fine. The PDP needs to ensure that what happened in their Anambra PDP primaries does not happen again. Let the best man win. I don't care were the chairman comes from so long as he does his job. But left to me, simply because he might not have as much weight politically as some folks in the West, and the PDP needs to recover and record some gains in the West, I would have loved a clean figure from the West to help the PDP gain ground there and avoid narrowing it into a SS (or perhaps SS + SE party). whateverkay:Buhari does not seem prudent at all o! After we got the whole world to beg to cancel our debts he is now going a-borrowing again. Who will we beg to make them agree to cancel our debts this time? Aliens? Also, for 2 consecutive years, Aso clinic had over N3bn budgeted for it but president Buhari thought it better to be take himself and his aids (for months) outside Nigeria for treatment, incurring so much extra costs. Prudence would have suggested/dictated the doctor come over to Nigeria but perhaps in this case, he needed to be away from the cause of stress to his person - his office. In all, Buhari turned out not to be the person he was portrayed as being and the person many thought him to be |
The Head of Service of the Federation, HoS, Mrs. Winifred Oyo- Ita, has revealed that the recall and reinstatement of a former Chairman of the Presidential Taskforce on Pension Reforms, Abdulrasheed Maina was not done without President Muhammadu Buhari’s consent. Oyo-Ita said she warned the President Buhari against it. The HoS made this known in a memo with reference number HSCSF/HCSF/LU/COR/FCSC/750/T, dated October, 23, 2017 addressed to the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari. The memo entitled, “Re: Abdulrasheed Abdullahi Maina,” obtained by Punch, was received in the office of the Chief of Staff to the President on October 23. Buhari had directed the HoS to investigate the circumstances that surrounded the return of Maina to the civil service. Maina, whose whereabouts is still unknown, has been accused of embezzling pensioners’ funds running into billions of naira. The former pension boss has, however, spoken from his hideout insisted he is not a thief. The HoS said she met the Buhari after the Federal Executive Council meeting of Wednesday, October 11, and verbally warned him against recalling Maina. She, however, did not say what the response of the President was after briefing him. Oyo- Ita said, “Please, note that the OHCSF was never in agreement with the reinstatement and consequently never conveyed the approval of the FCPC to Mr. A. A. Maina, nor approved his posting to the Ministry of Interior or any other MDA. “Rather, I sought audience with His Excellency, Mr. President on Wednesday, 11 th October, 2017 after the FEC meeting where I briefed His Excellency verbally on the wide-ranging implications of the reinstatement of Mr. A . A. Maina, especially the damaging impact on the anti- corruption stance of this administration.” The letter partly read, “Further to your letter Ref . SH /COS / 100/A /1570 dated 23 rd October, 2017 on the above subject matter, I write to inform you of the circumstances leading to the irregular recall of Mr. Abdulrasheed Abdullahi Maina. “I wrote to place on record the following facts as it permits to Mr. A. A. Maina who was dismissed from service on 21 st February, 2013. “The move to recall Mr. A. A. Maina was at the instance of a series of letters from the Attorney General of the Federation to the Federal Civil Service Commission requesting the commission to give consequential effect to the judgement that voided the warrant of arrest issued against Mr. A. A. Maina which formed the basis for the query and his eventual dismissal. “The letters herewith attached as Annexes I-III are: (a ) Ref. HAGF/ FFCSC/2017 / VOL.1 /1 dated 19 th January 2017, (b) Ref. HAGF/ FFCSC/2017 / VOL.1 / 2 dated 21 st February 2017; and (c )Ref. HAGF/ FFCSC/2017 / VOL.1 /1 dated 27 th April 2017. “The FCSC thereafter requested that the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation should advise the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior to consider the AGF’s letter and make appropriate recommendations to the commission and this was so communicated to the Ministry of Interior. “The Ministry of Interior took the matter to the Senior Staff Committee of the ministry and recommended the reinstatement of Mr. A. A. Maina into the service as Deputy Director. “The OHCSF forwarded the recommendation to the FCSC which has the constitutional responsibility for appointments, promotion and discipline for further action. “The FCSC in consideration of the letter from the AGF and the recommendations of the SSC of the Ministry of Interior consequently approved and conveyed the reinstatement of Mr. A. A. Maina with effect from 21 st February, 2013 vide letter herewith attached as Annex IV. “( vi) The letter of reinstatement , as communicated to HCSF Ref . FC. 4029 .82/ Vol. III/ 179 dated 18 th September, 2017 attached herewith as Annex IV, ostensibly also copied the Ministry of Interior which is the one erroneously used to document Mr.A. A. Maina on a claim that he has resumed work since 28 th September, http://dailypost.ng/2017/10/31/buhari-aware-mainas-recall-warned-hos-oyo-ita-opens/amp/ |
Bolusticus:You won't believe it. In Rivers State, when the agricultural loans of the past administration were being probed by the new administration, highly placed civil servants were reported to have been crying in court telling stories like "Believe me, they gave me only 25 million and told me I should sign for 50 million " That is what our accepting wrong (corruption) seems to have brought us to. Reducing grown-ups into situations in which they as parents would serious scold and reprimand any of their kids for acting as if they "have no sense" agreeing to put their signatures to a document that states/declares that they took millions of naira which they never saw. |
I wanted to sell my $200 from coinbase only to discover that the dashboard is just blank. Has hapended before in the past but got corrected. What do you guys think I should do? |
My headline says it all But you must have cash. We have covered more than half the costs. Literally all except license fees. We will avoid expensive states first(with regards to licenses). idupaul:He so tactlessly handled the Kanu situation. Below expectation for a former general. |
Annabelkelvin: Annabelkelvin:Annabelkelvin Busted! He is igbo, just as we thought |
Annabelkelvin:The thing about you guys is that the way you automatically accorded Nnamdi Kanu (a rabble-rouser) leadership is the same way you think Niger Delta people will automatically accord Tompolo leadership status. Tompolo and Asari know themselves that they are just guns used by the real leaders. They are aspiring to become real leaders of their communities in the future and know they are not yet. Tompolo may never make it (and he might even know that) These two know the hundreds-of-years-old leadership emergence structure that creates the decision makers even where they come from. They may be hoping to use the dynamics of modern-day politics, guns and money and a sentiment for their people to break in, but will it work? We don't know yet. But let it be know that Asari is a business man who knows that all these things he is doing keeps him relevant (making the government and NDDC) give his businesses more contracts. Asari is in the Education business. Have you seen his university in Benin Republic? Cotonou? Are you aware he trained many Nigerian youths on behalf of the federal government? He is doing he business. Everybody needs money and he has found a way to give value and be paid for it. This is just the business that we can see. His notoriety is carefully measured to maintain his relevance within the polity enough to keep govt business flowing to him. The Kanu saga provides him that opportunity to massage that notoriety a bit. Finally, the way Igbos en-mass accorded a Rabble-Rouser leadership of themselves gave us a window into the intellectual depth of the common igbo mind Cjizzy |
MTKbudapest:Going by the fraudulence those involved in this movement have already been known for, I consider it safe considering you not to be from the S.S region at all. |
VargasVee:The ipob people did not need to start killing northerners for no reason. What can they give as reason for the attacks they sprung up on northerners on Teusday? They should have let those they consider their opponents be wrong. Now what can they say is the reason for killing northerners in Oyigbo in PH? Can't they see that with their own hands, they are destroying their claims (and the claims of sympathizers) that they are peaceful. I have not been in support of many things with this ipob movement but I also believed that it reveals the thoughts of PMB to deploy soldiers to check ipob and arrest unarmed ipob but do nothing in response to senseless fulani killings. When they tell us tomorrow that ipob are a violent group, with this occurrence now, how can we tell them that they are not? |
Sirambassador:Sorry. I have been inactive for some time. I can't even exactly remember who I sold to. |

In campaign promises, I heard that they said they would stop/reatrict government officials from going abroad for medical treatment |
Except to keep his situation private, I see no reason why the president should fly abroad (spending more than 100 days) when 3.8billion will be spent on the presidential clinic in Aso Villa |
amInigerian:*We are already in saturday so later today |
I need btc tomorrow at 365/$ $1,000 worth |

You call fried rice and eggs crappy food? Were they supposed to eat Gucci rice and champagne just because they guard Aso rock? Buhari is a prudent president and he won't allow the status quo of wastage practiced under Goodluck Jonathan. 1 billion might be budgeted for feeding, it doesn't mean the whole money must be spent on feeding. Nigerians are used to wasteful spending and Buhari's govt is here to correct that. If a whole presidency can feed with such prudency, then the common man on the streets should be confident that we are in safe hands. God bless president Buhari.
