Iammercy2018:Buhari knew there was a chance for a second term and he behaved the way he did. How will he perform when he knows there is no other term after this (if we mistakenly make him president again)? .

The electric pole you see in this picture got tilted about two years ago. When the NEPA people saw it, instead of them t fix or replace it what you see in the pics below is what they did. They tied the tilting pole to someone's nearby fence. When it was standing upright, forces tilted it. Is it now that it is tilted that its chances of being upright have been increased? What is worse is that in recent weeks, I observed it has tilted a little more. If you look at the base of the pole (wooden) you will see termites have eaten it up and will continue eating it up. What I am not happy about is that the people occupying the stores this pole will fall on (if it falls) did not protest by refusing to pay their NEPA bills so long as the threat remains. What will we say is the cause of the accident that eventually occurs (if it occurs) when collectively we have watched the accident play out in slow-mo over time before our very eyes. I putting this here to draw attention so maybe those in charge will feel shamed enough to do something. I will do same on twitter mentioning the right handles for more publicity.

LordAdam16:I am bringing this up now because I know that looking at that statement now, everyone will be able to see how OBJ lied. Even if they could not see then, I believe it looks apparent to all today that that was not a truthful statement by the former president. In fact, to be more candid, I think it more clearly looks like a lie today, to the public (both Nigerian and foreign). |
astrodome:It remains a fact that a huge number of slaves out of West Africa were Igbos and Yorubas. If you go to Brazil, there are areas where they traditionally do the same things Yourbas in Nigeria do. They even worship the same idols. So Igbos and Yorubas form a nice amount of slaves that eventually created the lineage of black people in The Caribbeans and Latin America. |
Bringing this back up |
FarahAideed:Also, Do you think anybody believes that now? |
FarahAideed:I am not a Buhari supporter. But I was disapointed in OBJ for not seeing the most important thing to gain from 2011 and the right thing to do in 2015. At least the wrong thing was the wrong they sold to Nigeria (knowing very well what they knew about what they were selling to us). |
I want us all to remember these assertions made by OBJ when he believed it suited him to And what for? Eventually, to lead us into this situation from which he now intends to be the one to lead us out of. I say OBJ is not a good leader just for this reason - for leading us into the misfortune of the bad governance we have suffered from 2015, taking us the series of steps backwards we have seen our country slide into. https://dailypost.ng/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Obasanjo.jpg |
Content Loading.. In the meantime, to establish who is responsible for a crime, you look at who benefits from the crime. For crimes that cost guns and amour, to find the sponsors, all fingers must be directed to the benefactors of the crime. |
So can you see they look down on us for the shameful thing happening with the herdsmen? He said "This is not Nigeria". |
In 2019, I will vote for Ibrahim Shekarau of the PDP if he gets the ticket. He is northerner. He was former governor of Kano state. There wasn't even one single recorded incident of riots in the notorious Kano state when he was governor. He was president of ANCOPPS. He is sound. He made Nuhu Ribadu, El-Rufai and PMB look incompetent in the presidential debate in 2011, the one Jonathan did not attend. |
Before the 2015 elections (perhaps in 2014) I saw this youtube video where Muhammadu Buhari was inciting a large crowd, most of whom who had cudgels in their hands. Muhammadu Buhari himself had a cudgel in his hand. This was the final straw that made me believe he was not fit to be president. Leaders strive to bring the best out of people. To lead them towards more cerebral methods to resolution of conflicts. Thugs do the opposite. Samuel Doe did the opposite. Charles Taylor did the opposite. Foday Sankoh did the opposite. I saw Buhari leaning toward the same (violent) approach to the possibility of rigging taking place in the polls. I knew he was closer to the men cited above than any president Nigerians wanted |
fiizznation:In my university of Agriculture, we had Nigerian breeds Nd'ama and muturu. They did not need to eat other people's crops to survive. They were grazed in the open sometimes (the school has a lot of land). But other times they were fed in-house. In the rainy season, grass was cut and stored for them, made into silage, with which to feed them in their pens when the dry season set it. The suggestion that the cattle cannot be kept in ranches is extreme balderdash. |

new2012:I knew he was also a some sort of a fraud when he said "What is our country turning in to, when we cannot make our leaders and public servants accountable?" You see, shortly afterwards, when the FAAC had stuff against him, I could not reconcile his above-passionate outcry with his fight in court not to be investigated by the then administration. It was a fight (his personal fight) not be accountable to his employers and the nation on his stewardship of power and resources put in his charge during his stay as CBN governor. He from that point, stopped saying anything to the press about anything until he became Emir, such that he had no reason to talk about his stewardship or the attempt to make him account for his stewardship, and his subsequent fight to ensure he does not give account of his stewardship |
Citizens have the right (if they can) to resit illegal arrests |
Yep. and traders colonies in Sokoto and Zamfara (not forgetting Kaduna and Kano). No to not considering the plight of pig breeders and general traders |
Dreamwaker:It is like you want them to catch you cheaply because of just 250k. If you mistakenly point to any of your relatives abroad, it won't take long before the DSS comes knocking on you door in the dead of night. Now, they know very well they cannot be chasing every parody account. But they know the way to go after these accounts is to just go after one (and catch that one and give good publicity to his overstretched detention without trial or without bail). We all know citizens have this herd mentality in the way they respond. Others in the twitter space in which you operate will go and hide. Those who were thinking of creating such accounts will pause and think twice about it before going down that social media route. Bottom line, they just need a scape goat with which to instill fear into the others. |
OmoOshodi:Dreamwaker I wanted to say that the money they are offering is even too small but I never even thought of this OmoOshodi 's view. Please have zero references to your phone number/email on both your twitter account and here on nairaland (now that you have revealed here that you own that twitter handle). |
But they said because a new sheriff was coming into town, there would be law and order. That even his body language (clownish statement given the realities) would put everyone on their toes. Clearly, this chaos has no respect for this new sheriff who has been at best tame (almost non-existent) in terms of re-action to or pro-activity about the Fulani killings |
Statsocial:Nice ![]() |
He has been bad for the north because he is bringing smear to their image. Also, he is leading them into smearing themselves by passionately carrying out actions that their children will be ashamed on account of. |
People did not know how to choose in the last elections. I knew we could not go for thae worse option and so I supported the PDP (whether I liked them or not) |
UfuomaUN:Don't you think statements like this are reflective of cracks happening deep within the APC structure? Professor Issa Sagay is quoted to have said that the attacks are Gov Ortom's failure because he fails to arm his citizens to protect themselves in self-defence |
