E-WASH is seeking to recruit a Consultant to facilitate an orientation and training on Corporate Governance and performance management for newly appointed Board of Directors (BoDs), of Delta State Water Corporation, Imo State Water and Sewerage Corporation and Taraba State Water and Sewerage Corporation State Water Boards in Nigeria. The performance management training will also be delivered to top management of the three water utilities.

The Assignment:

The Consultant will design and provide corporate governance and performance management training to the new members of the BoDs for Delta State Water Corporation, Imo State Water and Sewerage Corporation and Taraba State Water and Sewerage Corporation to expose them to the concept of corporate governance and also to enable them appreciate the benefits of corporate governance in order to be able to provide oversight functions to enable the utilities achieve set mandates.

Objectives of the Assignment:

The Consultant(s) will develop/adopt tools and resources required for the smooth takeoff and operations of the BoDs;
The Consultant(s) shall train the newly appointed BoDs and the Top Management staff (participants) of each SWB in the essentials of corporate governance and performance management;
The Consultant(s) will explain to the participants, their roles and responsibilities within the utilities under the new law;
The Consultant(s) will develop long term, medium-term and short-term plans for moving the utilities to a full-fledged corporate status
In pursuance of the assignment, the Consultants will specifically do the following:
Preparation: hold a meeting with E-WASH team in order to finalize training modules as well as training agenda and delivery protocols;

Facilitate Workshop:

facilitate the corporate governance workshop and deliver content in line with the agreed training module and schedule
Develop a Training Plan for the Boards: Conduct Board Members Capacity needs assessment and develop a training plan to address the Board Members Training Needs. The training plan should illustrate the set of trainings required, resources required, training location and time of delivery;
Develop Corporate Governance workshop report: the report should contain details of the workshop, key outcomes and relevant attachments such as list of participants, training materials and Board of Directors Training Plan.
The expected content of the training module includes but is not limited to the following:
Water supply sector background and in the selected states
BOD charter, code of conduct and performance monitoring plan
Field visit to a water utility
Board member responsibilities for managing a water utility
Utility operating policies and procedures
Customer service goals & communication strategies

Expected deliverables:

Report key outcomes and relevant attachments including Board Charter for each State;
Board of Directors Training Plan.

Qualifications and Experience

At least a Masters (M.Sc). in Contracting, Engineering, Economics, Law, Public Policy or related field
At least 10 years’ experience of development of performance management systems, contracting, etc.
Knowledge and experience in developing performance contracts between state owned enterprises and Government

Ability to use current MS Word computer package
Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English language

Overview

The receptionist will be responsible for handling front office reception and administration duties. She should be comfortable undertaking a variety of activities in the office, including filing, answering the phone, organizing documents, basic bookkeeping, and more. Duties

Welcome and greets all patients and visitors, in person or over the phone
Organize and maintain files and records; update when necessary
Answer the phone while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner using proper telephone etiquette
Responsible for keeping the reception area clean and organized
Register new patients and updates existing patient demographics by collecting detailed patient information
Respond to inquiries by patients, prospective patients, and visitors in a courteous manner
Keep supplies adequately stocked by anticipating inventory needs, placing orders, and monitoring office equipment
Protects client’s confidentiality.

Requirements

Qualification: BSc
2-3 years’ work experience in a front office setting or in another clerical position
Strong working knowledge of office procedures
Ability to effectively use and maintain office equipment
Outstanding communication skills
Great organizational and multitasking abilities


Age: 30 and above

Salary Range
NGN40,000 – 70,000 Monthly (based on experience)

Duties
Monitor product standard
Ensure safe operation of the rice mill
Plan budget for the rice mill operation
Manage stock control & reconciliation
Coordinate and control rice milling processes
Draw up production and maintenance schedules
Ensure compliance with health & safety standards
Ensure timely, quality and cost-effective production
Ensure optimal use of machines for quality rice production
Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in milling rice
Identify training needs and develops training plans for the rice milling team
Control all aspects for rice transfer, handling, milling, bulk storage and packing
Review instructions covering grade and amount of rice to be milled, and plan operations accordingly.
Observe milling process, examine rice, and issue instructions for adjustment of machinery to maintain quality and quantity of product
Issue instructions for adjusting shelling-stones, rice hullers, rice-cleaning machine, rice grader, rice polishing equipment, reel, scalping machine and other milling machinery.
Supervise coordinate activities of workers engaged in operating machines to grind, crush, mix, and blend materials to make batches of clay for pressing into clay products.

Requirements
Masters degree in Engineering, or Food Science.
Minimum often (10) years experience in rice milling and other milling operations,
Must be experienced with the use of husk fire boiler, dryers and parboiling tanks.
Must be conversant with the whole process of rice milling operations, ranging from parboiling. steaming, polishing, grading, sorting, etc.
Experienced with operating silos.
In-depth knowledge of milling and packaging equipment and systems including, maintenance activities.
Proven ability to develop, implement and sustain new processes and procedures.

The project manager will Lead, manage and coordinate day-to-day planning, implementation and management of project activities according to the project document and project log frame

Duties

Develop and implement project plans with project staff, technical specialists and stakeholders to ensure effective project implementation
Provide technical support and guidance on cashew value chains, agricultural marketing, and other technical issues
Ensure that research studies envisaged by the project are designed, planned, and conducted to high standards
Ensure that the project adopts best practice in integrated rural development, agricultural marketing and adaptation and takes up recommendations to ensure that lessons learned within the programmes are properly recorded and shared with other partners
Ensure monitoring system and tools developed are used by project staff to track project progress, and capture learning

PhD degree required in the field of Agriculture, Livelihoods, Agro-enterprise, Business Development or International Development.
Minimum of 10 years of work experience in project management, ideally in the field of cashew production or farming.
Experience working with stakeholders at various levels and strengthening community partnerships.
Ability to contribute to the development of technical proposals, a plus.
Experience analyzing data and contributing to evaluation reports.
Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

If you are SS and you know it, please do not get married to AS! It's very simple. Do not complicate issues for yourself. This prayer could work for those who weren't aware of their genotype before marriage, just like the case of my friend. They had to find out after seven years of marriage. And yes, they both went for lab test severally before the union, and the results showed the wife to be AA while the man AS. However, they decided to go for another test when their son was always falling sick and complaining of stomachache. So yes, I wish God will change situations around for them.
