it’s important to know that This Journey is About them Alone, we have a Whole Country to improve on,

Nigeria has been thru a lot and it’s almost at its breaking point. This current Government can’t Achieve up to 15% of whatever he’s doing this term, He should save us the Stress and Suffering, Let’ a Vibrant Youth like Alex Otti run this Country for 4yrs, if there won’t be change, Everyone will Love it… but the Truth is, pple are shortsighted… they prefer what they can get Now, That’s the Tragic story of Nigerians.. Unfortunately we will appoint an 80yrs old man, by the time 2031, he’s 85yrs to Direct a underdeveloped country like Nigeria in this 2026..

i don’t think we’re Ready for True Change, We’re not Ready to Live a Better life, We are not Ready to Participate in the World Economy.. Most Nigerians are okay with how they Live such that they don’t see things changing… I can Guarantee, IF OTTI becomes president, Nigeria will Host a World Cup sooner… it’s not even that Hard… I see us not ready

CDAnewsreporter:
Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has commended voters for their impressive turnout in Saturday's governorship election, expressing strong confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will secure victory.

Speaking after casting his vote at his polling unit in Ikogosi-Ekiti, Oyebanji praised the peaceful conduct of the electorate and described the turnout as a testament to the people's commitment to democratic governance.

"We have seen an impressive turnout across the state. Our people have demonstrated maturity and a deep understanding of the democratic process. I am confident that the APC will emerge victorious," Oyebanji stated.

The governor also lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies for their professionalism in ensuring a smooth electoral process.

The election, which featured the APC, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and African Democratic Congress (ADC), saw over one million registered voters deciding the state's next governor across 16 local government areas.

Political observers noted that the high voter turnout could significantly impact the outcome, with all three major parties expressing optimism about their chances.

Inec need to learn from opay for face authentication
adenigga:
Several elderly voters participating in Saturday’s Ekiti State governorship election were unable to complete accreditation after the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System failed to recognise their facial features and fingerprints in parts of the state.

The incidents were recorded at Ward 4, Unit 1 and 2, Ijigbo, Ado Ekiti; Ward 3, Unit 6, Osagburu, Ikere Ekiti; and Unit 3, Eyelori, Ward 2, Iyin Ekiti, among other polling units.

Some of the affected voters, who spoke with The PUNCH, said they arrived early and were attended to by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, but were later unable to vote after repeated attempts to accredit them failed.

An 86-year-old voter, Aliyu Sunday, who arrived early at Ward 4, Unit 1, Ado Ekiti, was unable to vote after the BVAS reportedly failed to capture both his facial image and fingerprint.

Another voter, identified as Mary Ajagbanla, said to be about 120 years old, also experienced a similar challenge at Ward 2, Unit 3, Iyin Ekiti, as the device failed to authenticate her identity.

Ajagbanla, while speaking with The PUNCH, expressed frustration over the situation but insisted she would remain at the polling unit in hope of casting her vote.

“I arrived here around 9 am. But I was told the machine couldn’t read my face. I was told to wait.

“I will wait. I won’t leave until I vote. I will be patient. I have been voting for long. I can remember I voted during Adebayo (When Adeyinka Adebayo) was governor. I voted 4 years ago, too,” he said.

Brazilian legend Ronaldinho signs with Serie C side Ravenna

Brazilian football legend and World Cup winner Ronaldinho has agreed a surprise deal with Italian third-tier club Ravenna FC, more than a decade after bringing his illustrious playing career to an end.

The 46-year-old, who retired after a brief spell with Brazilian side Fluminense in 2015, is set to be unveiled by Ravenna at an event in Miami next week.

Ronaldinho’s arrival initially sparked speculation that he could make a sensational return to football, but club officials have clarified that the former Barcelona and AC Milan star will not play for the Serie C side.

Speaking about the partnership, Ronaldinho expressed excitement about joining the club.

“New colours, same smile. I can’t wait to get back to dancing on the ball and write a new story together with Ignazio and the entire Cipriani family,” he said.

“Football has always been a source of joy for me, and I want to bring that same spirit to Ravenna.”

Ravenna owner Ignazio Cipriani described the acquisition as a major moment for the club, revealing that Ronaldinho had been his childhood idol.

“Acquiring Ronaldinho is absolutely extraordinary for the club. He was my idol and his impact on football goes beyond what he did on the pitch,” Cipriani said.

However, Ravenna honorary vice-president Ariedo Braida dismissed suggestions that the former Ballon d’Or winner would feature for the club on the pitch.

“Ronaldinho will do a marketing event with us, but he won’t play for Ravenna in Serie C next season,” Braida said.

“I wish he were still able to play. Dinho was a phenomenon and a wonderful player.”

Mine is dark red thanks for this
Dpharmacist:
Your Morning Urine May Be Telling You More About Your Health Than Your Last Checkup

Most people wake up, use the toilet, flush, and move on with their day.

Few realize they may have just ignored one of the simplest health reports their body produces every morning.

Your first urine of the day can provide important clues about your hydration, kidney function, liver health, blood sugar levels, and even possible infections.

Pale yellow or almost clear urine is usually a good sign. It often means you are well hydrated and your kidneys are filtering waste efficiently.

Deep yellow urine may indicate mild dehydration. Your body is conserving water, causing waste products to become more concentrated.

Orange urine deserves attention. Dehydration can cause it, but persistent orange urine may also point to liver problems, especially if it does not improve after drinking enough water.

Brown or tea colored urine is a more serious warning sign and may be linked to liver disease, muscle breakdown, or kidney problems.

Cloudy urine can suggest infection, inflammation, or the presence of excess white blood cells, even before obvious symptoms develop.

Pink or red urine without a clear explanation such as beetroot consumption may indicate blood in the urine and should never be ignored.

Persistent foamy urine may signal protein leakage from the kidneys, which can be an early sign of kidney disease.

Smell matters too. A strong ammonia odor can occur with dehydration or certain metabolic conditions, while unusually sweet smelling urine may sometimes be associated with uncontrolled diabetes.

Many serious health conditions start quietly and often provide subtle warning signs long before severe symptoms appear.

Tomorrow morning, before you flush, take a quick look.

Your body may be trying to tell you something important.

Note: Urine color and smell alone cannot diagnose any disease. If you notice persistent changes or have concerns, consult a qualified healthcare professional for proper evaluation.

They're arresting people's at alapere estate also
alphonsoolajide:
The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has ramped up enforcement operations across Alimosho and surrounding areas, leading to multiple arrests and the sealing of properties linked to environmental violations.

The operation, carried out by the agency’s Project W.I.S.E (West) enforcement team, focused on curbing indiscriminate waste disposal, illegal dumping, and other activities contributing to environmental degradation. Key areas affected include the Ikotun axis and nearby communities. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

During a night surveillance exercise, officials apprehended a 15-year-old boy (name withheld) for illegally dumping refuse at the Ikotun-Egbe roundabout around 10:00 p.m. The suspect was later handed over to the Task Force office in Oshodi for further action.

In a related operation, LAWMA sealed a car lot located at Iroko Estate along LASU-Isheri Road after it was found discharging waste into drainage systems. A furniture showroom was also shut down for similar environmental infractions.

Additionally, the agency issued an intention-to-seal notice to a mini store in Diamond Estate for failing to engage a registered Private Sector Participant (PSP) operator, a violation of Lagos State waste management regulations.

The enforcement action followed complaints from residents of Kaslat/Sarumi Street, who raised concerns about an undeveloped plot being used as an illegal dumpsite. Reports indicated that cart pushers frequently dumped and burned waste on the premises.

Upon investigation, LAWMA sealed the property and arrested a 65-year-old security guard, Abubakar Yunusa, for alleged involvement in the illegal activities.

Speaking on the development, the Managing Director/CEO of LAWMA, Muyiwa Gbadegesin, reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to sustained enforcement across Lagos State. He emphasized that acts such as indiscriminate waste disposal, burning of refuse, and the use of unregistered waste handlers remain serious offences under environmental laws.

Gbadegesin urged residents to adopt responsible waste disposal practices by engaging only LAWMA-accredited PSP operators. He also encouraged the public to report environmental violations through official channels, assuring that the agency would continue to respond swiftly to complaints.

The intensified crackdown highlights ongoing efforts by the Lagos State government to promote environmental sustainability, improve sanitation, and protect public health across communities.

Crime › Re: Pastor Alleges Church Member Scammed Him With Fake Dubai Visa, Kept His Passport by Amovingman(f): 1:24pm On Jun 20
They're plenty on nairaland travel section
alphonsoolajide:
A Nigerian pastor has opened up about a painful experience involving a church member who allegedly deceived him with promises of a trip to Dubai and withheld his international passport.

The story surfaced in a viral video circulating on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, where the cleric recounted how his excitement over an international trip turned into disappointment and betrayal. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
Promised a Vacation in Dubai

According to the pastor, the church member approached him with an offer to help him secure a visa to Dubai.

The man allegedly assured him that the process would be seamless and encouraged him to submit his international passport. He also told the pastor that the trip would only last a few days and was meant for relaxation and enjoyment.

Excited about the opportunity, the cleric said he informed members of his family and began preparing for the journey.

Speaking in Yoruba during the interview, he explained that he trusted the church member because of their relationship within the church.

“One of my church members asked me to bring my passport. He promised to process my visa and said I would be travelling to Dubai. He told me I only needed to spend a few days there and enjoy myself.”

Airport Disappointment

The pastor said he travelled to Lagos ahead of the departure date and arrived at the airport expecting to board his flight.

However, he quickly realized something was wrong when the church member failed to show up.

Several attempts to reach him by phone proved unsuccessful. According to the pastor, the man’s phone line eventually became unreachable, leaving him stranded and confused.

What made the situation even more painful, he said, was the fact that his passport was never returned.
“He Deliberately Kept My Passport”

The cleric insisted that the document was not accidentally misplaced but was intentionally withheld.

He explained that after waiting endlessly for updates, he eventually accepted that he had been deceived and was forced to begin the process of obtaining a new passport.

“The passport was not misplaced. He deliberately kept it. I didn’t travel anywhere. He deceived me, and he was a church member,” the pastor said.

Painful Reunion Years Later

According to the pastor, the incident remained a painful memory for years.

He disclosed that he eventually saw the man again about six or seven years after the incident, an encounter he described as emotional and difficult to forget.

The revelation has sparked mixed reactions online, with many social media users expressing sympathy for the cleric while others warned Nigerians to be cautious when handing over important documents, regardless of who is making the promise.

The incident also serves as a reminder that trust, even within close religious or social circles, should be accompanied by proper verification, especially when it involves travel arrangements and sensitive personal documents.
