Fast rising Nigerian singer, Margaret
Mary Oluwatoyin Ejiro Joseph,
popularly known as Zara Gretti passed
away on March 28, 2014 at the age of
28, after losing her battle with Multiple
Sclerosis. . After her unfortunate and
untimely demise, there were
controversies concerning how several
of her colleagues in the music industry
who abandoned her while she needed
help took to their various social pages
to eulogize and send condolence
messages. However, there is a new
disturbing update to the story
according to Netng. It was made known
that in preparation for the one year
anniversary of her death, a visit was
paid to the Ikoyi Cemetery, Lagos
where Zara was buried on Thursday,
March 19, 2015, and there were
various shocking discoveries made.
After getting the details of the actual
place her remains were interred, an
extensive search of the cemetery
records and register revealed that Zara
Gretti was indeed, buried at the Ikoyi
Cemetery on Friday, April 4, 2014. The
register made it known that her grave
was in Section five of the cemetery.
However, the curiosity of the Netng
person (visitor) who went there to
make enquiries came to forefront
when the mortuary attendant, ( also
identified as the secretary of the
facility) asked the visitor absent-
mindedly: 'Do you know if this was the
third or fourth time that particular
grave was used?' The visitor's quick
response was that he was not around
when the late singer was brought for
burial; hence there was no way he
could know about that. When the
register had confirmed that she was
indeed buried at the cemetery, the
visitor to the mortuary and the
attendant proceeded to the grounds.
On getting to the area identified as
Section Five by the official, it was
shocking to find out that Zara's tomb
could not be found even after 2 hours
search! Upon insisting on seeing the
tomb, the continued search proved
fruitless. In a straightforward manner,
according to Netng, it is authoritative
that Zara Gretti's grave is missing.
However, when the mortuary official
saw the outcome of events, the official
was quick to deny that any such thing
ever happens at all. 'We don't ever use
a grave for another corpse once
someone has been buried there,' he
said, forgetting that he had said

A middle-aged woman, Toyin Ayinde, has urged an Agege Customary Court in Lagos State to divorce her 20-year-old marriage. She is accusing her husband, Mudashiru, of being promiscuous.

Tribune reports that the petitioner, a businesswoman, said her husband sleeps with any woman.

“When we got married, we didn’t have enough and we were contented with whatever we had but when we became comfortable, my husband began to womanise. He sleeps with anything. He lacks good taste,” she said.

The mother of three told the court that her husband keeps claiming that there is no wealthy man who doesn’t womanise.

“To let you know how loose he is, five years ago, I was admitted to a hospital because our last child had jaundice after delivery. My husband, who is slack when it comes to women, had an affair with a nurse.

I once woke him in the middle of the night to advise him. He cried and promised to stop the act. As I speak, there are no changes,” she said.

Toyin said her husband’s relations sent her out of his house because she refused to have sex with him.

“I refused to have sex with him because I could get infected if he continued to sleep around. Also, he wants to try all styles of sex with me which I strongly disagree. It’s been almost a year since I moved out of his house. His relations have been pleading with me to go back to him but they don’t know what I am facing. He is loose and I can’t cope anymore,” she added.

Responding, Mudashiru did not deny the allegations. “Everything she said is true. I support our marriage dissolution,” he said.

President of the court, Mr. Adekunle Williams, advised the couple to reconsider their positions and adjourned till April 9.

A man accused of throwing acid in the faces of two schoolgirls after his sexual advances were rejected has fainted while being handcuffed and paraded before an angry mob.
Pictures taken at a press conference yesterday announcing the arrest of Jiwan BK, 20, show him being dragged by police through a crowd in Kathmandu, Nepal, in a semi-conscious state.

His arrest comes a month after schoolgirls Sangita Magar, 16, and Sima Basnet, 15, were studying at a school in the capital when a masked attacker barged into the classroom and splashed acid across their faces.

It is feared the suspected revenge attack has left the teenagers scarred for life after they suffered severe chemical burns to their faces, torsos and legs.
'He claimed that he was infatuated with Sangita, one of the victims, and wanted to disfigure her as an act of revenge after she rejected his romantic advances.'
Chameli Magar, Sangita's mother, added that the 'coward' had ruined her daughter's life and she hoped he would either die in jail or hanged.
However, Nepalese law states that such attacks are only punished by anywhere between three months to three years in prison - depending on the severity of the disfigurement.

One Michael Oyejide, 24, has been remanded in the Ibara prison for allegedly raping to death his 18-year-old girlfriend.
Oyejide, who resides at Ijeja, in Abeokuta, is facing a three-count charge of conspiracy, rape and murder.
Earlier, the Prosecutor, Cpl. Moshood Hammed, told the court that the accused and one other at large, committed the offence on Jan. 8 at about 11:41p.m. at Ijeja in Abeokuta.
Hammed said that the accused and his accomplice had raped the girl after a party to celebrate his birthday.

“At about 8.00p.m., Oyejide, aka MI, celebrated his birthday at Adigbe and some ladies were invited.Later in the night, the accused and one other got the victim, who is also a friend drunk.
“The accused and his friend took the victim to his house at Ijeja and they raped her to death,” he said.

The prosecutor said that the accused thereafter pretended to be sympathisers and rushed their victim to the hospital where she was confirmed dead.

“The management of the hospital reported the case to the police, which led to Oyejide’s arrest,” Hammed said.

According to eye-witnesses, mobile policemen attached to Zenith Bank branch at Elf Bus stop in Lekki Phase 1 beat this unidentified man to a pulp yesterday March 11th. The Ekiti State Police Command on Monday
paraded a woman, Bukola Ogidiolu, who
allegedly poured petrol on her husband,
Abimbola and set him ablaze destroying his
private part in the process.
36-year-old Bukola claimed that she had a
disagreement with her husband over his alleged
nonchalant attitude to her failure to conceive since
their marriage over three years ago.
She denied setting her husband on fire for refusing
to take her out on the Valentine's Day which
happened to be her birthday.
Bukola said she didn't know how the attack
happened.
The incident happened at the couple's residence in
Idolofin area of Odo-Ado, Ado-Ekiti.
Bukola said: "We had disagreement over his
nonchalant attitude to my barrenness that day and
we were fighting. Our neighbours tried to plead with
him but he never listened to them.
"He later ran inside and destroyed all my property.
But he had forgotten that we have petrol inside and
when he was about lighting his cigarette, the keg that
contains the petrol exploded and my husband
caught fire immediately".
Abimbola who has burns all over his body with his
manhood badly burnt is presently receiving
treatment at Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital
(EKSUTH), Ado-Ekiti where doctors are battling to
save his life.
Police spokesman said Bukola would be charged to
court as soon as possible.
It will be recalled that 54-year-old woman simply
identified as Fatima had been accused of rendering
her husband, Asimiyu Olayinka impotent.
