If I knew I was arguing with someone who probably didn't listen to Kanaga's speech, or probably didn't watch, or did watch him but dislikes him and wants to start an agenda for no reason with a falsified speech, I wouldn't even have debated this issue with you.

From what you typed in the emboldened, it's obvious you hate the guy and hence the lie up there. Here is what Kanaga Jr said VERBATIM.

"Ebubu, I want you to know that you're not different from us. You're very very much the same. I appreciate you so much. You're a free spirit. You sing so much that even if i don't know the song I sing with... I just hum and sing with you with sometimes. You're a very great person. You're doing this not for yourself alone, but for your community. And I appreciate you so much, you're a star."

How on God's green earth did you infer such ridiculous innuendos you put up there from his speech? Nah. There's no need of debating further about this issue. Your mind is made up on the agenda.

Fir avoidance of doubt, anyone should re-watch Kanaga's speech to Ebubu below. The man was even all smiles.

https://mobile.twitter.com/blahbiddiboop/status/1625627191760371714/mediaviewer?currentTweet=1625627191760371714&currentTweetUser=blahbiddiboop
"I want you to know you're not different from us" This comment is even worse than our earlier banter.

If he felt he wasn't different why should it even be said? Why should Ebubu need to be told he's not different from them? Who is them in this context. Pigmented folks?

What Kanaga did was discriminate against Ebubu with just one line. Because that one lined called into focus the fact he was different. 'you' 'us'. This is totally effed up.

Why you would think i have an agenda against Kanaga is beyond. Anyone that says anything against y'alls fave has an agenda. Funny. As much i liked Yaya, i called her out when i felt she was trying to hard to be liked.

If Kanaga does not at this age know that things like that are should not be thought of much less verbalized, then he has so much to learn.

Yes I know the word I used- stigma
There is stigma associated with having hypertension. That’s why a woman or man in a relationship would not tell their partner about it🤷🏾‍♀️
HIV
Even acne
Internal stigma
Then there is also external- albinism is associated with both. Some people do not want to do anything with them. In East Africa they get killed for being albinos.

I only know stigma to be associated with HIV. An it's properly fitting with the definition i wrote above.

Or is there another definition for stigma i don't know about.

Stigma for acne? This the first I'm hearing of this.

Yemi fans fail to see this as a personality issue..

The problem is Yemi, not Ebuka

How can someone who was saved twice not reason they are doing well? Why the need to switch character if he is not desperate?
Kidd is really the perfect example. He always used to mud Erica during Ebuka's questionings and still go under the sheets with her. He made it clear he wasn't in any relationship.

Did Theo T-Raw complain to the HMs about feeling isolated before Kanaga & I think Miracle spoke to him about it on the morning of his eviction? Sometimes when you know what someone is going through, you'd help without the person coming to tell you personally.

If Ebubu didn't exprience struggles of being discriminated as an albino growing up and struggles to make friends, why did he tell Tsatsii about it? Do you know a depressed person can look perfectly okay but deep down he's dying and before you know it, his suicide is on the news? The cameras doesn't show all the HMs at the same time, it's here that we complain that Khosi gets too much airtime, so how exactly did you know Ebubu has not felt a type of way about his inability to make much friends in the house? And you're a viewer while Tsatsii is his partner he shared his problem with. You can't compare.

Not true. Rather Kanaga talking about his albinism shows a man who has an insight and empathy about what albinos go through in Naija, and we all know people discriminate against them in this country whether you want to admit it or not, and having heard of Ebubu's struggles from Tsatsii, decided to help encourage Ebubu and cheer him up.

I agree some part of his speech was insensitive and should've been left out, but he only did too much while trying to encourage him. The delivery was wrong but his intentions were good.

As for looking for cracks in Kanaga's game, feel free. You'd find many. No HM there is a saint anyway. They are all gamers, may the best gamer win.
Kanaga pointing to Ebubu's skin condition and making his speech about it is beyond insensitive. It's the worse thing a person could do because he literally just said " You are different because you're an albino. I never used to be comfortable with an albino growing up but now i am. Kudos to me" Please what's nice about trying to headline something that shouldn't be an issue and making it an issue. Is albinism a life threatening disease?

People that have normal pigments still have struggles. They still get depressed and have crazy mood swings. Albino's lead normal lives. Ebubu is not his skin. His person should not be tied to his pigment and this is what Kanaga did which i found particularly distasteful.

An albino is more prone to skin cancer than the rest of the population
They are more likely to have difficulty seeing
They have stigma (self and societal)
So it is not true to say they are just regular
They live with albinism, cannot produce melanin (absolutely or relatively) so this is a disability as it affects how the skin treats sun rays
My point is that Ebubu and people like him are vulnerable, so we can’t casually place them as “regular” or “normal”
An overweight person is prone to blood diseases and stroke. That they are prone to this doesn't make them less or different.

Different people are prone to different things. People have allergies that are hereditary or caused my genetic mutations. Does that make them different.

Albino might be prone to somethings because of their lack of melanin but their entire self isn't centered on their skin. If you've ever been friends with an albino before, you'll know that skin colour or whatever is something you never see. It's like seeing a very light-skinned person. To you they only become the person they are. People are what they are on the inside and not the shell of the outside.

I don't know of Albino's having any stigmas. People may gawk at them same way they'll gawk at a white person because they have a different skintone, but i don't know if that can translates to stigma. Stigma is synonymous to shame and disgrace and in my society, there's nothing shameful and disgraceful being an albino.

So no, I don't agree with you that albino's are not normal.

A group of fans always looking for who to blame for there fave's failed game.

They became a fan because they thought he'll give them the polygamous storyline they so badly want, and when he couldn't leave up to that, it's Ebuka and production's fault.

The Sunday comment from Ebuka could have led to many reactions that would have cemented Yemi a legend.

He could have repeated our Nairaland bot's copy and paste " I'm not married to anyone. I told Khosi I didn't want to be boxed. I like them both."
He could have also kept it simply by saying " I'm still getting to know both of them and we've only being here a couple of weeks. I need time to get o know them better"

Instead he went for the spineless simp option and his fans has been crying ever since.

They can cry buckets.

No-one there mentioned about Ebubu's albinism, but the question is, how many of them has Ebubu's open to about his struggles? Do you think Kanaga would've mentiomed it if Tsatsii hadn't revealed to him about what Ebubu is going through?

It didn't come out of the blue. Ebubu told Tsatsii & she told Kanaga, so Kanaga knows about his struggles while others don't. It's not about being a white knight, it is about being compassionate. The Sunday that Theo T-Raw left, Kanaga also tried to encourage him to mingle with other HMs as he noticed he was looking sullen and isolated. Sometimes, these people need a little bit of love.
Has Ebubu ever mentioned his albinism struggle to Kanaga before? Has he even told Tsatsii or she just ran to have conversations with whatever she had in her head. Even if Ebubu has told Tstsii, does it it give Kanaga the right to bring it up in his speech?

Ebubu could be moody but does he strike you as someone who has a problem with his skin pigment? Someone who even said people think he's a white dude and treat him as one in Lagos. Someone who has put himself out in entertainment circles enough to land video vixen jobs and whatnot. Ebubu could be withdrawn and moody but that's just how he is. It has nothing to do with the colour of his skin.

Kanaga talking about albino as though it's a disease just exposed a part of him that shows he still feels some type of way about albinos. If not, why should that even in part of his speech. You know why, It's because when Kanaga sees Ebubu, he sees an albino first before seeing the man within.

I'd been looking out for Kanaga now as there's a crack now to peep through all that caring and loving bull.

That's why i said talking about personalities and inner qualities was fine and good.

If Tsatsii had pointed out the fact that Maya and Ipeleng were overweight but shouldn't let it weight them down, that would have been the perfect analogy for what Kanaga did to Ebubu.

Ebubu's condition is a physical issue and does not matter in the skim of things

Someone called me from this thread because i was trolling Mike the delawood Jamaican, and threatened to find rape and kill me all because of cruise. So i probably understand the feeling of being attacked by deranged fans. Talk more of Ebuka that would get these threats in tens, hundreds and thousands. If Yemi's fans will give the franchise a problem, BB can safely eject him out of the house. Biggie's house, Biggie's rules. They did it with Amaka and no one died. No one ever cared about the dry triangle storyline anyway.

I don't think Kanaga was extremely insensitive, he'd have worded his speech a bit better but it came from a place of good.

The root of that speech emanated from weeks ago when they first got paired and Tsatsii came to him to complain on how Ebubu feels left out and isolates himself because of his skin color and how people doesn't want to be close to him growing up. So, Kanaga told Tsatsii that he understood where Ebubu is coming from, having heard and had experiences with people like him. He encouraged Tsatsii to talk to Ebubu and be more close to Ebubu so he doesn't feel left out. That she'd tell him that they are all one and he deserves to be there as much as anyone.

He also told Tsatsii that he'd have talked to Ebubu about Ebubu isolating himself (Ebubu) because he feels the HMs don't want to associate with him, but it'd be like Tsatsii came to reveal to him (Kanaga) what Ebubu is going through and it'd amount to betrayal as Ebubu confided in Tsatsii in private about it.

Here is an excerpt from that discussion. The discussion was very long but this is like few minutes.

https://mobile.twitter.com/blahbiddiboop/status/1617623289979080705/mediaViewer?currentTweet=1617623289979080705&currentTweetUser=blahbiddiboop

So, Kanaga used last night to encourage Ebubu as he couldn't say it to him personally so it wouldn't feel like Tsatsii had told him of the struggles which Ebubu confided in her. So, he might not worded it very well, but he meant no harm.
Ebubu is not disabled. He just cannot produce melanin, there's nothing wrong with him. That he skin lacks the ability to produce pigment does not make him different from the rest of the others. His condition is only skin deep at best.

When you tiptoe around these people or treat them as special because of a skin condition, it does more to exclude than include.

Kanaga shouldn't act like a white knight and defender of pigments. No one cares. When he keeps pointing out how someone is different, it does more to further isolate that person. Kanaga failed woefully by talking about Ebubu's albinism. If he had sense, he would have talked about Ebubu's personality and ended it at that. Out of everyone there, not a single one mentioned about the Albinism but Kanaga. In trying to come out as caring and nice, he committed even a bigger faux pas.
