No one can tell, which of the southern group will be more in the North because census figure don't show the ethnic breakdown of tribes residing in any states but from common knowledge of geography, religious similarity and inter connectivity of railway between the heartland of Yoruba and Hausa land, you will expect more Yoruba to migrate to the North than Igbo, I am not sating there definitely more Yoruba than Igbo in the North but i am saying evidence suggest there could be more.

Igbo are trader, hence there visibility in market and other commercial areas always give a wrong perception of their numbers that doesn't mean that they are more populous than others

Being loud and noticeable in the market place doesn't equate to having more people. Go to ABU zaria, go to BUK, go to FUT yola, go to FUT Minna you will see large numbers of Yoruba as both student and lecturers owing to the accommodating nature of Northerners.
