Midfielder Granit Xhaka has been stripped of the Arsenal captaincy with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang taking over, Gunners' boss Unai Emery has confirmed.

Xhaka, 27, was involved in an angry confrontation with home fans during the Gunners' 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace on 27 October.

The Switzerland international was booed as he walked off the pitch at Emirates Stadium, prompting him to cup his ear.

Emery later said Xhaka should have apologised to the club's supporters.

"We make mistakes, we need to apologise and we suggested for him to do that," said Emery at the time. "Really, he knows he was wrong and he feels inside very deep."

However, Xhaka refused to go that far, although he did say he got "carried away" and reacted "disrespectfully" to fans.

"The scenes that took place around my substitution have moved me deeply," Xhaka said in statement on Instagram last month. "I love this club and always give 100% on and off the pitch.

"My feeling of not being understood by fans, and repeated abusive comments at matches and in social media over the last weeks and months, have hurt me deeply.

"People have said things like, 'We will break your legs', 'Kill your wife' and 'Wish that your daughter gets cancer'. That has stirred me up and I reached boiling point when I felt the rejection in the stadium on Sunday."

Xhaka has been left out of Arsenal's squad for their Europa League game in Portugal against Vitoria Guimaraes on Wednesday.

After watching SEE pilot episode I would say I was unimpressed. The acting was decent. Cinematography was good but the plot was the problem. The action scenes were good enough.
There was so many Gaps in the storyline, it was just a mishmash of different points of the plot merged in one.

There was no coherence in story telling, transition was too fast and difficult to understand.

All in all, I give it a 5/10

Next episodes might be better but this pilot was anticlimactic.

I've just seen SEE on Rotten Tomatoes and it has a very low ratings of about 39% based on 38 reviews with an average ratings of 4/10. Should i still go ahead to watch it? Any advice before dig deep into the series?

Cable channel HBO has given the go-ahead for a prequel series to the hit fantasy TV show Game of Thrones.
House of the Dragon will be set about 300 years before events in the original series, which ended its eight-season run earlier this year.
The announcement came hours after another planned prequel, due to star Naomi Watts, was reportedly cancelled.
Game of Thrones was HBO's most popular series. It won multiple Emmy awards and drew tens of millions of viewers.
"It's my pleasure to announce today that we are ordering House of the Dragon straight to series for HBO," said Casey Bloys, president of HBO programming, at a launch event in Los Angeles for the HBO Max streaming platform.
"It tells the story of House Targaryen and the early days of Westeros."
In a tweet, Games of Thrones said House of the Dragon would be co-produced by Game of Thrones author George RR Martin, Ryan Condal and Miguel Sapochnik.
A pilot episode for an unnamed prequel starring Oscar nominee Naomi Watts was filmed over the summer.
Earlier on Tuesday, sources quoted by The Hollywood Reporter said executive producer Jane Goldman had emailed the cast telling them that HBO had cancelled the show.
The reasons behind the decision were not immediately clear and HBO did not comment.
However, entertainment website Deadline reported that the pilot had not been well received by HBO.
That prequel, also co-created by George RR Martin, was reported to have been set about 5,000 years before events in the original series.
On Monday, Game of Thrones writers David Benioff and DB Weiss announced that they had left the next Star Wars trilogy, due to launch in 2022. The news came after the pair signed an exclusive deal with Netflix.
