Oga this is a stock OS. Why do u guys always act like this. U guys sud come out with reasonable claims. Guys have already trashed out most of these baseless claims already.

I think this becoming a trend now.. Well got mine last 2weeks and I'm enjoying my fone to the fullest. Despite d fact that i havent still rooted it., i am still enjoying it. Its really worth the price and the hype

i have used both the infinix hot note, infinix hot note pro, infinix zero 2(all sold them off for different reasons I don't wanna mention on this post) and currently using the camon c8. I wonder why most people are just filled up with hate in there blood. Let me start with the OP, when infinix released all there flagship phones I never heard of anyone complain of the said 16gb, and mind u most notable brands of which there phones cost 70k plus still manufacture phones of 16gb. so I wonder what the ish is all about 16gb.

You complained of 3000mah battery, even infinix zero 2 with a 2200 battery still sells for 35k and even other notable brands still have lower mah battery. so why do u wanna just create baseless issues of a 26000# phone. and the battery of the camon c8 still serves me for more than 8hours with heavy usage(3g always on, gaming for like 2hours plus, and browsing and more).

There is no game nor app I have tried on this device that hasn't run smoothly.

SO GUYS QUIT THIS HATE FOR TECNO AND COME OUT WITH STRONG POINTS and when doing that also put in consideration the price.

LIKE SOMEONE SAID U WANT A NOTE 5 IN A 26000 FONE.



The only I reason I can advice one not to get this fone wud be if u are so much interested in OTA update then don't bother buying this device.

Hey .. I actually made a camera comparison that showed that the Camon c8 camera was okay but not so great like it was hyped. Moreover in my camera review, the Infinix Hot 2 front camera was better than the Camon c8.. with regards to the battery, I think the battery is great, he should probably update his firmware to see if this would improve it.

I stand to correct this.... The tecno Camon c8 camera both front and back is better than infinix hot 2. Except u wanna compare it with the zero 2. And who said this was there flagship device? What were u guys expecting for 26k? And the battery is superb . Very very OK. The op said his battery doesn't last him a day. With heavy usage, on 3g throughout the whole day, played fifa 15 and candy crush for bout 2hours chat etc my battery still lasted me for more than 8 hours. I still prefer this fone phone to IHNP. Like i said earlier d only issue with this phone is the ram...

oga op the fone is not as bad as u claim it is. the camera is superb, I can even upload some nice pics I took with it. and the pixel of the fone is great. like another user stated the only problem with the fone is multitasking and I know that once I root my device that wud be taken care of.

Android has a chain of signature verification that (by default) protects your device from being hacked or having an unofficial image installed. Recovery images, updates, and OS images all have to be signed. The bootloader verifies that the recovery is signed by the manufacturer's key, and the recovery in turn verifies that the OS image (and any updates you try to install) are signed by the same key.

That's why you need CWM or TWRP to flash an update that roots the device. You don't need to root to install CWM or TWRP, but you do need to unlock the bootloader. This wipes all user data on the device. It's a security mechanism, to protect your data: if someone steals the device while it's locked, and wants to flash a different OS to bypass the lock and steal your data, they first have to unlock the bootloader.

But can't be compared to Samsung talkless of iPhone.

After downloading, save the file to the root folder of your SD card,
Power off the device and turn it on keeping VOL+ and Power until you see some tiny text.(basically, booting into recovery)

Select the first option (Recovery mode), use VOL+ to navigate and VOL- to confirm.

Once booted to stock recovery select "apply update from sdcard" using VOL+/- to navigate and POWER to confirm, and select the zip file you copied to the MicroSD.
After the flash has completed you will be back to recovery's main screen and just select "reboot system now".

PS: this zip file should work with any MT67** device running a stock Mediatek recovery

PPS: DO NOT apply any incremental ota update after flashing the root zip, flash ONLY flash tool roms when and if they will be available

To get to recovery, after pressing volume button and power button together.......... When it shows the no command screen, all you have to do is to press the power button once.. (note, DON'T press down the power button for long, just press it once and release it fast) immediately you press and release the power button ONLY, it will display the recovery options.. From there you can then proceed to choose the zip file following the procedure i posted above.....Also note that you might need the volume button instead of the power button, to okay any selection you make when in recovery mode.... I believe this guide should help... Cheers........

No stock recovery. Its saying no command. I think one wud need to flash recovery tru so flash tool.
