earthrealm:
480w is about the max load, you should put on 2 x 220ah batts, going by the optimistic c/10 discharge rates however c/20 is the recommend ed discharge rate, so that would be abt 240w.. to ensure longer life of the battery.
4 x 150ah is a slightly bigger bank than 2 x 220ah.but am more comfortable with the flooded batterys ability to withstand abuse, more than the sealed battery.

I hope your inverter is capable of charging & periodically equalizing flooded batts

48v setup is a more preferable/affordable setup, if you intend to add solar in the future

The offer I got was a genus 2kva 24v inverter and 2 flooded batteries. (Am not sure if it's an inverter that has periodical equalization capabilities)

While

The second is a 5kva axpert type hybrid inverter and 4 150ah gacia batteries. (The 5kva inverter was given to me by a friend since last year and has been lying around in the box. I would only need to pay for the 4 batteries and installation)

Good morning everyone
Please between these two inverter systems which is best:
1. A 24v inverter with two 220ah flooded batteries
Or
2. A 48v inverter with 4 gacia 150ah batteries

Note: the total load is around 400watts but that is only if all loads are put on at the same time minus freezer. Charging will be done through grid for now while solar panels will be implemented later on.

This might be coming too late, I just saw your message today.

To answer your question, I live in surulere and I do drive through custain, breweries and ijora alot. So this is what I've seen and also heard alot of people complaining about. I even know someone who has two trucks which he uses in supplying petrol and I've also confirmed this from him too.

If you want to find out, just start your investigation from breweries under the bridge close to custain, then move forward to the bridge that leads to orile, Eric Moore road, then move forward to ijora, and also move forward to the top of APAPA BRIDGE (Just go to the that spot where there is a exit for people going to marine beach) you will see them at each of those spots collecting money from the drivers and allowing them to park. At each of these spots, there are always police officers, lastma, FRSC and even army men aswell.
There are other places too that leads to apapa where such is happening as well but you just wont believe until you see it with your own eyes

Madam stop saying what you don't know.
The truck drivers normally pay before they are allowed to park their trucks on the road. Those who they Normally pay to are the same set of people the government has directed to stop them from parking on the road (I.e road safety officers, army, police officers, lastma) that is why they can easily and confidently park on the road without any disturbance.
The problem of this country is not only caused by the government but by the people as well.

Thanks. Just checked it out now the specs is actually okay but the shipping fee is actually on the high side and from the few things I've bought on Aliexpress, I still have to pay to collect my package at the post office when it arrives. Is there a way I can get it but at a lower shipping fee?

Please I just saw this on jumia and got interested due to the internal mppt charge controller it has. Although I only plan on buying an inverter and two batteries for now so charging the batteries will be through power grid and maybe generator for now but later in the future, I plan on adding solar panels as well.
Just want to confirm before placing my order, if the brand is good and at that price considering the capacity and features of the inverter?
