It was this same aircraft scheduled to take me from Benin to Lagos at 3:30 p.m.
Saw this flight landed at 2:55 p.m. today but skidded off the runway. Thankfully, there were no fatalities, although a few passengers sustained minor injuries. Thank God everyone is safe.
Can't imagine this happening while trying to land in Lagos. My mind would have just gone blank.
Mercy said no🙏

Jakumo:
Interesting resarch findings. The impact evidently ripped off both engines. That must have been one wild ride for the passengers.

The airframe is an absolute write-off, but engine components, avionics and maybe some aspects of the hydraulics can be recycled for spare parts. This aircraft is now officially scrap metal.
Wasiu my panel beater will fix it cheesy.

“Until the last day when their commander came and was smiling and laughing and said we should thank God that we had been freed. The next thing they said was that we should open our eyes.

This paints a picture of the kidnappers freeing their captives, having collected huge ransom.
Ransom and good deal (maybe freeing members from prison).

Tinubu paid Ransome and wanted blaming Seyi Makinde 🤷‍♂️.
Makinde had to call on higher authorities and Nigerians.

Meanwhile, Hausa channels has been pointing at Emilokan as part of the terrorists network in the last two years.

swaggerific:
I thought the bail conditions are significantly worse than this? Didn’t they require a civil servant of level 16 and above and who has a house in maitama? And a letter from some traditional ruler that is most likely not going to be receptive to him. It’s like telling Obasanjo that the only way he can get bail is to get a letter from Ayo Fayose. That one na bail condition?

Richtaiwo:
One thing I have never understood about CBN governors is the extent of their spending powers. Are they simply free to dip into the CBN vault and fund whatever projects they choose? I vividly recall Sanusi Lamido spending billions on projects across different states while serving as CBN Gov. He even made large donations to schools and victims of disasters. It always made me wonder how much discretion a CBN governor actually has over public funds.
They have power to use money, it's backed by law. Though, a weak president allows that to happen.
