One thing I have never understood about CBN governors is the extent of their spending powers. Are they simply free to dip into the CBN vault and fund whatever projects they choose? I vividly recall Sanusi Lamido spending billions on projects across different states while serving as CBN Gov. He even made large donations to schools and victims of disasters. It always made me wonder how much discretion a CBN governor actually has over public funds.
