It simply means if the file downloaded has the extension ".bin" you don't need to extract it as in the case where the extension is ".rar" or ".zip" In essence, what actually upgrade the box is the ".bin" file, for example Q11G_V6.00.22_20140123_3.bin is put directly into the flash and used to upgrade the box while while the file Q11G_V6.00.22_20140123_3.bin_.zip you will need to right-click on the file and select extract to - sending it to your flash. When it is in the flash, you simply have to insert it to your box and go to menu //// upgrade///usb/card upgrade select the drive and click on the file. Hope this helps
