The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is the next really big smartphone from Samsung now that it has launched the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus, and we’ve gotten our S Pen out to declare which rumors sound plausible and which are just wishful thinking.

The Note 9 is poised to be the massively sized update to the Galaxy Note 8, but that’s not to say it’ll be a massive update to last year’s phone with a 6.3-inch screen. We’re expecting iterative changes, mostly to the specs, rather than a complete redesign.

The good news is that Samsung has to roll out a new Note that’s attention-grabbing enough to outlast the iPhone X2 phones that Apple is likely to unveil in September. If you’re keen on phones with a handy stylus, this is the one to read up on.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 release date rumors haven’t started yet, but we did see last year’s phone on August 23 and ship to stores in September. That short-lived Samsung Galaxy Note 7 followed a similar schedule two years ago.

There’s a good chance that the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will be announced in late August 2018, before hitting stores possibly in mid to late September.

There’s always someone saying the Note phones will come earlier than ever. This year, it’s the The Investor that cites market watchers who believe it could be unveiled in early to mid August instead. And the same site claims that Samsung has codenamed the phone ‘Crown’ and plans to have a prototype of it ready during the first quarter of 2018.

Apple looks set to unveil two new iPads for 2018 that not only push the limits in the form of a new iPad Pro but also make power available to all with an affordable 9.7-inch iPad.

According to supply chain sources of DigiTimes, Apple is currently working on the new iPad Pro for 2018 as well as that new 9.7-inch iPad. Both are expected to be ready to reveal and release as soon as the second quarter of this year. That should mean we see them arrive at Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference around June.

While DigiTimes can be hit-and-miss as a source, the affordable 9.7-inch iPad did leak earlier this year. It also seems like a logical move to help improve iPad sales as the iPad Pro has increased demand and making this top-end power more affordable in the 9.7-inch model could be a good move for the company.

So with the 9.7-inch iPad offering power for less, what’s going to make the new iPad Pro special? We already reported the possibility of an iPhone X style edge-to-edge screen on the 2018 iPad Pro, so this seems a likely inclusion.

Oppo has revealed details of the upcoming F7, which it says is the latest model in its Selfie Expert series ofThe F7 builds upon the F5, by gaining the second-generation of Oppo’s AI Beauty technology. This combines a 25-megapixel front-facing camera with AI and HDR technologies to produce photos with incredibly high levels of detail. The AI Beauty 2.0 technology promises to identify and beautify individual facial features for each person using the selfie cam, so results will be different for everybody. The F7 can even perform these changes for everyone in a group photo.

The F7 also gets augmented reality stickers, Oppo hasn’t said exactly what these are, but we presume work in a similar way to the iPhone X’s Animoji and the Samsung Galaxy S9’s AR emoji.

The focal point of the F7 is the 6.2-inch FHD+ Super Full Screen, which offers an 89.08 per cent screen to body ratio and a 19:9 aspect ratio, meaning virtually the entire front of the phone is taken up by screen. Despite the large screen real estate, the F7 has a small footprint that fits in the palm of your hand. The front-facing camera and sensors are housed within a notch in the centre. The overall design doesn’t look too dissimilar to the recently teased Oppo R15.

A dog contesting for governor in the State of Kansas, has been disqualified, though there is no law prohibiting animals from running for elections in the state, FoxNews reports.

Terran Woolley, the dog’s owner, used the state’s oversight to file the paperwork that would allow his 3-year-old wire-haired Visla named Angus P. Woolley to run for the election but Kansas election officials barred it on Tuesday.

“I thought, ‘Hey, why not Angus? He’s a good dog, he’s smart and I think he could provide better leadership than what we’ve had the last seven years in our state,” Woolley said.

Angus’ proposed bid never left the ground. Bryan Caskey, director of elections for the Kansas secretary of state’s office, told The Kansas City Star that “there are several laws that reference that the governor has to be an individual or a person, and so we are relying on that, and if a dog comes in to file for office, we will not allow that.”

I have been noticing that MTN has started collecting my airtime without giving me any reason at all or even subscribing me for a plan.
I loaded #200 three days back but didn't make use of it, due to the fact that it was too late for me to call d person as it was at night, only for me to wake d next morning and see an empty balance...I called their customer care, but was told that my account has not been updated i.e they can't see my recent transactions....
I forgot about that one oo, and loaded another #200 airtime, made just a minute call, and now they have taken all the airtime... please oo, I just want to know if this is a general problem or not, abi dem don they follow me for somewhere... am now scared of recharging ma phone.
