ottizz: Wow, this is the first time I have heard of associating taste with color. I have heard about people associating alphabets or numbers with color, but not taste. Looks like you may also have color synesthesia. Do you take advantage of it in any way?

Did you know that Beethoven, the composer, could see (visualize) sounds ? Not sure if in color. Anecdotes has it that it was what helped him finish composing his ninth symphony, for he was almost completely deaf during this period.

Advantage...Not really. It just happens. I think I do have color synesthesia.

Handedness? If you mean what hand I use, I'm right-handed. Why do you ask?

ottizz: Very true on making calculations easy. Could be why I am good with numbers, or maybe not. Do you have pattern with other things, or just numbers? The months appear in a spatial form to me. When I discuss a particular month with someone I am always staring at the month in question. I react the same way with days of the week.

I have patterns with taste: they sometimes appear as colors to me. When talking about a particular month, say december, I visualize a string attaching it to the present month. The space or length of the string may vary depending on the real time distance between the two months.

Sometimes it's funny but it gives me a clearer picture of the what's being discussed.

ottizz: Wonder if anyone here also have synesthesia. I have number form and spatial sequence synesthesia. Discovered it last year. I had always thought that numbers appear in a particular pattern to everyone, until last year. For example, when I add two numbers together, I do the addition visually by grabbing the numbers from the unchanging numerical arrangement. I understand this is a unique attribute of introverts.

Synesthesia...So that's what it is called. I too thought everyone does that. It makes calculation easier for me.

I try to get along with people it gets tiring and it gives me headache sometimes. I LOVE being alone with my thoughts, reading or watching a movie. I tend to think too much when having a conversation to avoid grammatical mistakes...

@ Kamura, I believe you, even if you are making it up, I still believe you because I have been getting glimpses into the spiritual realm since I was little. Why would I have applied for an opening that wouldn't suit me? If they are still hiring, then they should go ahead and apply. I only wanted to share the info I thought was current. No need to sound patronizing.
