The Foreign Affairs Ministry has summoned Cameroon’s High Commissioner to Nigeria, Amb. Abbas Salahedine, to give explanations on the report of maltreatment and killings of Nigerians in the Bakassi Peninsula by Cameroonian Gendarmes A statement by the Ministry’s Acting Spokesperson, Mrs Jane Adams, expressed dismay on the incident said to have been occasioned by alleged non-payment of taxes on fishing activities. “The ministry has instructed the Nigerian Missions in Yaounde and Buea, to investigate the report with a view to confirming their veracity and inform Headquarters immediately. “The ministry appeals to the Cameroonian authorities to exercise their duty of care and protection over the people of Bakassi, including other Nigerian citizens in the area,” the statement said. A report on Friday had stated that no fewer than 97 Nigerians were killed as Cameroon Gendarmes allegedly attacked residents of Bakassi over failure to pay a N100,000 boat levy. The report stated that the attackers sacked mainly Nigerians from Akwa Ibom, Cross River and Ondo state. Many others were however said to have escaped at midnight with their fishing boats and arrived at Ikang in Bakassi and Ibaka in Akwa Ibom. The killing and sacking of Nigerians in former Bakassi is believed to be a violation of the 2005 Green Tree Agreement (GTA) by the Nigeria-Cameroon Mixed Commission. The Agreement stipulated that the Bakassi returnees must be properly resettled to their natural habitat so that they can have a meaningful living. The GTA also states that Nigerians who choose to remain in Cameroon can do so without any molestation. Souce: https://www.ccnaija.com/2019/03/latest-free-browsing-settings-for-http.html?m=1 |
Embattled Senator Dino Melaye failed on Thursday July 6 in his bid to stop the ongoing recall process by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The Nation reports that Justice John Tsoho in an ex-parte ruling rejected Melaye’s motion for a temporary injunction restraining INEC from proceeding with the recall process until the determination of suit challenging his recall. NAIJ.com gathered that instead, the judge ordered parties in the case to “maintain status quo pending the hearing of the motion on notice.” Source: https://www.naij.com/1113680-updated-abuja-high-court-refuses-stop-inec-melayes-recall.html |

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson confirmed Tuesday that North Korea has test-launched an intercontinental ballistic missile for the first time. The United States strongly condemns North Korea’s launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile. Testing an ICBM represents a new escalation of the threat to the United States, our allies and partners, the region, and the world,” Tillerson said in a statement. He added that the United States “will never accept a nuclear-armed North Korea.” The North’s possession of a working ICBM — a development that President Donald Trump had vowed “won’t happen” — represents a milestone for the Communist regime. It could also radically alter the calculus for countries seeking to thwart the military goals of the isolated state. In his statement, Tillerson called the Pyongyang government “a dangerous regime” and said the United States would seek “stronger measures” at the UN Security Council to hold the North Koreans accountable for the latest missile test. Recruiter and hiring manager spend less than 10 seconds to scan your resume, in that 10 seconds you have to impress them with the way of your resume writing. Abuja – The trial of former Taraba governor, Jolly Nyame, was on Tuesday stalled in an FCT High Court, Gudu, due to the absence of the prosecution counsel. The EFCC prosecution led by Mr Rotimi Jacobs (SAN), was absent in court. However, after the court had risen, Jacobs sent a message, indicating that he was absent due to his engagement in another matter at the Federal High Court. Nyame is facing trial on alleged misappropriation of state funds to the tune of N1.64billion during his tenure from 1999 to 2007. On Monday, July 3, Nyame was led in evidence by his counsel, Mr Hassan Fajimite, and the matter was adjourned until July 4, for continuation of defence. The continuation examination and cross examination of the defendant, was however stalled by Jacobs’s absence. The judge, Justice Bukola Banjoko, adjourned hearing until Sept.18, at the instance of the prosecution. Source: http://www.ccnaija.com/2017/07/alleged-n164bn-fraud-absence-of.html?m=1 |
Android phones store their data in three places; the SIM card, the internal phone memory, and the SD card. I am going to be talking about how to recover deleted files from the internal phone memory. One of the best-known tools that help with this kind of recovery is the FORecovery Android Data Recovery which helps to recover almost every kind of data you may have lost due to the rooting process or resetting the factory settings. Here’s a step by step guide to help you go about this process. Step 1: Connect your Android phone to your PC The first step is to launch the toolkit and connect your phone to the PC. Once you launch the Toolkit, select the option for Data Recovery. You can connect your smartphone to the PC using a USB cable. If you have a locked phone, unlock it before doing this as it might not work efficiently. Make sure that the option of USB Debugging is enabled, please follow the instruction on screen to enable the USB debugging. Step 2: Select the types of files you want to scan Once you connect your Android device successfully, the next step involves the display of data types that the toolkit supports in recovering. Although it checks all the files by default, it also gives you an option to select the type of data that you might want to recover instead of recovering everything. If you recover everything, you need to be patient as it might take a while to do that. Once you select what you want to recover, click “Next”. Step 3: Scanning the device There are two modes of scanning using the above toolkit. Read through the descriptions provided and choose whether you want to run a standard scan mode or an advanced one, depending on the needs you have. If you want the scanning to get done fast, use standard, but if this scan is unsuccessful in finding the files you are looking for, then try the advanced one. After selecting the choice of scan mode, click on “Start”. This process might take some time so just hold on and sip your cup of coffee patiently. Step 4: Preview the file and recover it! Once the scan is completed, you are displayed with a preview of the data that was found, one by one. Look for the data that you had lost, and click recover to save it. Note that it will save on your PC so once saved; you can transfer it to your smartphone. see also |
Dino Melaye, lawmaker representing Kogi west senatorial district, says those who did not call him cannot recall him because he is a child of God. Some of his constituents have submitted a petition to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), seeking to recall him from the red chamber. The commission has written to the lawmaker to inform him that it had received files of signatures of voters in his district and that the process of his recall will start on Monday. But in a series of tweets, the lawmaker waxed spiritual, saying every effort to pull him down “will be scattered by fire”. “Those who did not call me cannot recall me… Every joint effort to pull me down, I declare be scattered by fire in Jesus name,” he wrote. “Father uproot every institution that has been empowered to see to my frustration in Jesus name “Mighty God give an uncommon blessing that will draw people’s attention to my life “God I am grateful for everything. By the Grace of God my enemies will remain under my feet. “I thank God because He is my Compass. Surely He shall deliver me from the snare of the Fowler. I am saved and secure “Brethren fear not, you will not be put to shame because I’m a child of God.” Source: http://www.ccnaija.com/2017/07/im-child-of-god-those-who-didnt-call-me.html?m=1

Infinixmobility is at it again, and as usual, they are coming out with another elegant smartphone. Right now, infinix is jumping straight to 6GB Ram! The device is put in an appearance with a model number of X603 and it’s scheduled to be launched next week. The device according to the benchmarking tool boasts of huge 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Our guess is, this might turn out to be the Infinix Zero 5 or Zero 5 Plus. Though the real name of the smartphone wasn't specified yet, we have a clue here; since the current Infinix Zero 4 Plus has a model number of X602, an indication that the listed infinix phone belongs to the Zero series. It suggests that this yet-to-be announced device could be Infinix Zero 5 or Zero 5 Plus. The tool also listed the Infinix X603 having the MediaTek Helio P25 with a maximum clock speed of 2.3GHz. The MediaTek Helio P25 which is also known as MT6757 is an Octa-core processor equipped with Mali-T880 dual GPU. The Infinix X603 also boasts a 6-inch screen having a Full HD display and 1920 by 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by Android 7.0 Nougat with an overlay of XOS Chameleon-Infinix’s custom UI and 4500mAh battery. According to GFXbench, the device features 12-megapixel sensor with autofocus and face detection support together with a Dual LED flash. While at the front there is a 5MP selfie snapper with 2k Video recording. Now, it’s important to note that this listing doesn’t confirm that this is indeed the Infinix Zero 5 or zero 5 Plus, but looking at model numbers of the Infinix Zero 4 Plus, it’s possible that this is actually the successor to the Infinix Zero 4 Plus (X602) family. In short, take this with a grain of salt, at least for now. If the information on GFXBench turns out to be true, the Infinix X603 will no doubt compete with the high-end devices this year. What do you guys think of the Specification details of the Infinix X603? Source:
