So Tecno released her Tecno C9 along side the new and first wearable device tagged Tecno T-Band.

This new wearable by TecnoMobile has brought about confusion to many people as many think it is the same as the X-band wearable by Infinix Mobile and as a result, thats the reason for this post to clarify those confused about its usage and meaning.

Quick Overview

The Tecno T-Band is a smart band (essentially a fitness band) with two basic sensors: an accelerometer and a gyroscope. Using just these two, the band measures the number of steps you take, distance as well as monitors your sleep. Just like smartwatch devices, this gadget notifies you of incoming calls, sms and other notifications on your phone after being connected via bluetooth. It also have a vibrator built-in for notifications or to act as wake up alarm. This smartband doesn't have any display to show the incoming email or called id or anything like that.

While the Infinix X-Band is a smart watch performs a plethora of additional functions. Apart from an accelerometer and gyroscope for fitness monitoring, smartwatches feature additional sensors. The smartwatch come with Hall and ambient light sensors to adjust display brightness. The display shows incoming calls, notifications, media as well as fitness tracking (steps taken, distance travelled etc). This X-band can be connected to your device via Bluetooth and guess what?? The screen is detached and can be used as Earpiece.

Finally it depends on preference. But most people I know would rather spend 40k on a Samsung than a tecno while others like myself would go for a phone I feel I would get more value out of with my 40k. In essence tecno compared to some products arnt overpriced but compared to some other products seem a bit overpriced.

But to me this TECNO BOOM J8 seems to be too cheap
