Tookool: 80% of 36 persons is 28, does that mean the national assembly is paying for the remaining 8 aides for a single senator? TF ......what does a senator who's even in the lower chambers need all those aids for? Such a disgusting thing to wake up to this morning
naptu2: The lone exception is Colonel Olagunsoye Oyinlola (Mr. No Bitumen) who did absolutely nothing. He sat and watched as Lagos roads became filled with ginormous craters, hills and valleys. Awolowo Road was an eyesore at this time.
However, if you tell some people that Governor Johnson did a lot, they will direct your attention to Eko Court and the armed robbery edict. If you tell them that Governor Rasaki was an action governor, they will remind you of Maroko and Ilado. If you tell them that Marwa was very popular, they will tell you that he served Abacha, that Operation Sweep killed many innocent people and they will ask you where he got the money with which he started his airline (some will even tell you that he was one of the people that delivered the parcel bomb to Dele Giwa's house and they will also remind you about Bagauda Kaltho's death). If you tell them that Tinubu transformed Lagos from the huge refuse dumps and bad roads of the 1990s to a clean place with smooth roads, they will tell you that Tinubu owns the whole of Lagos. If you tell them that Fashola brought back sanity to Oshodi and continued the progress started by Tinubu, they will tell you that Fashola is elitist.
Nice one as usual. Don't you think that we focus too much on new physical infrastructures to the detriment of human capital development, utilities, services, maintenance that can reduce the cost of governance so more is done? Is it not time for the people to work with their local governments for better service?
alonzoiv: This, to me, is the hallmark of service and has remained a benchmark for successive administrations in the state.’’- Sanwo-olu.

Why would a government accuse NGOs of aiding terrorism, a major criminal offence without getting all the facts needed to nail them....
Assuming the allegations are true, with the lifting of the suspension, they will simply carry on with whatever they were doing to sabotage the country.
This government is just like a pregnant woman that complain over everything with habitual penchant for making wild claims
A serious government would have docked the perpetrators unlike these media trial propagandists.

israelmao: The cheerful and cheering news is,last term of 4years is fast ticking away and Keyamo will soon know that nothing is left to hold his erstwhile integrity. He should go to his closet and search meticulously with an open mind and crtical analysis whether there's an iota of democratic etho in Buhari and his style of leadership. Keyamo might have made money but it's quite unfortunate that money cannot buy him back his lost integrity.
Can he lose what he never had? Forget the packaging and posturing, Keyamo and Falana have always been guns-for-hire legal mercenaries to the rogues who pretend to be saviours to the gullible masses.
Hardtalk: There’s No Stopping Fashola’s Probe —Keyamo April 16, 2010 15:02, 1,040 views By Kazeem Ugbodaga
Lagos lawyer and counsel to the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mr. Festus Keyamo says nothing would stop the House from probing allegations of financial misappropriation against Governor Babatunde Fashola.
He called on the governor to submit himself to probe in order to clear himself, saying there was no hiding through court injunction to dodge the probe against him.
The State House of Assembly had yesterday set up a fresh 7-member committee to probe allegations against the governor by the True Face of Lagos, which staged a protest to the House recently to demand probe of the governor.
Speaking with P.M.NEWS this morning, Keyamo said that the governor should be probed, adding that the accolades the governor received in the media should not divert attention from the real thing.
“Every public officer has a duty to give account of stewardship no matter the height of praise singing he receives from the press. The office you are occupying is not your father’s property but the public.
“Probe is not the same thing as verdict of guilt, but an opportunity for one to clear himself. If Fashola believes his hands are clean, now is the opportunity for him to shine,” he stated.
According to him, “Fashola should take the path of honour and clear himself of the allegations. He can’t continue to hide under court injunction.
“If you say you plant grass and flower, come and tell the people how much you spent in planting them, tell them how you spent their money because it is not your father’s money.
“The House must go ahead with the probe because it is their constitutional and moral duty to do what they want to do. They have now properly published the allegations in their official journal.”
Comrade Bamidele Aturu, who was counsel to Mr. Richard Akinola, the man who first went to court to stop the House from probing the governor, said “we will assess our legal option and deal with the issue.”
Aturu stated that if the House erred in setting up the new committee, it would be challenged in the court, saying that “we are for democracy and probity.”
Also, Majority Leader, Lagos Assembly, Hon. Kolawole Taiwo said the House had already published the allegations in the Assembly’s journal, saying that the House would go ahead with the probe.
Patrioticman007: That's a fact. Atiku looter ain't no democrat, if truly he was such a gentleman, he wouldn't bribe his way to secure PDP presidential ticket. He wouldn't loot our common resources. He wouldn't decamp from APC. He wouldn't conspire against his father land on a foreign soil, called the Dubai strategy, sorry I meant Dubai trategy.
Let us see what barawo bubu did in December 2014 to secure the Alliance of Past/Present Crooks, APC nomination, shall we?
Dollarization Of The APC Primaries: How Amaehi Vanquished Atiku #saibuhari
The blogosphere was inundated with reports of the excessive sharing of dollars at the All Progressives Congress which took place during the latter part of last week.
One APC supporter and Special Adviser to Osun Governor on Environment, BolaIlori had blown the scandal open after he saw the beginning stages of the dollarization in action.
He took to his Facebook page and scribbled, “Crazy things are happening here!!! Some of these cannot represent the change Nigeria is yearning for. Excessive dollarization by one of the aspirants to is to say the least obscene. I have been involved in political process for decades now, I have never witnessed this volume of raw dollarization of party primaries. I only read about this kind of things in PDP primaries. A question been asked by conscientious delegates is that whoever can be giving out between $2000 to $5000 to…delegates certainly does not represent the kind of change Nigerians want…those who contributed to the pauperization of Nigeria now revel in dollarization… majority of Ondo delegates are still standing with Buhari but have been reduced from 85% to 70% within 24 hours…the remaining has gone with dollars ooo.!!!!!”
One has to wonder how Buhari was able to win the primaries in this era of stomach infrastructure where dollars are like the Biblical manna that God sent down from heaven to nourish the Israelites as they made their way to the promised land.
Sources close to the APC with knowledge of the way the Primaries unfolded have revealed that it was Rivers State Governor, Amaechi who flew back to Rivers State and returned to Lagos on Thursday morning with enough dollars to make Benjamin Franklin blush.
It has been revealed that Atiku offered the delegates $5000 each, but Amaechi doubled it to $10000 a pop. Thus turning the tables in favour of General Buhari.
Since his adventure into the APC, Amaechi has gone out of his way to prove himself a party loyalist, always the first to shoki or azonto at the many events the APC holds, which he himself is usually the chief sponsor.
According to party insiders, Amaechi has overtaken Tinubu as the major financier of the party. One does not need to wonder why he is always at President Jonathan’s throat over misappropriated oil wells or other such business. Anything that diminishes from the State’s coffers will have a ripple effect on his funding budget for the APC.
MobilityExpress: What I just don't understand is the kind of juju Atiku used to tie his PDP supporters brain to the under of his shoes. They hate Sowore, mock and curse him, because they said he helped remove GEJ from power. Same treatment is given to everybody else (including voters) that helped unseat GEJ, except Atiku. But Atiku was one of the top 5 collaborators that helped unseat GEJ and PDP, yet Atiku supporters were always ready to follow him to the dustbin like houseflies dey follow shit. Walahi, the juju strong no be small
Do you understand about choosing between two alternatives? Do you?
Fashola to Nigerians: 'If You Want to Have Stable Electricity Supply, Vote PDP Out in 2015'
Jul 12, 2014.
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, while marking his 2,600 days in office at an elaborate ceremony held at the Blue Roof of the Lagos Television premises, has said voting out the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from power in next year’s general election is the only way the country can have stable electricity.
According to The Nation, Fashola said electricity crisis in the country is caused by lack of ideas and insincerity of purpose on the part of Federal Government.
"Yes I agree with you that it is possible to generate electricity and to make sure that everybody in this country has electricity, we have to do the right thing. But you know what, the only way that you and I will have electricity in this country will be to vote out the PDP.
Was Fashola a kid politician when the Jagbajantis of Bourdillon bullion vans was harassing his life? The more things change the more they remain the same.
