digitalman2811: "POLITICS" a game of who takes what, when and how.a lot of negotiations have taken place behind the scene.
The poor masses bears the load at last
Any idea why the masses have chosen to be poor and bear the load? Does it have to do with our tribalistic rotating and sharing the national cake of corruption at local, state and federal levels
Pls which PDP faction? I guess Bode George faction that was declared dead some months ago.
Super story...
It's Wike's faction, warehoused in Aso Rock to serve the wannabe dictator and aspiring life president, in his master plan for 3rd term agenda like Cameroon's Paul Biya.
Do you expect Tinubu to succeed where Obasanjo failed in 2007
anonimi: No room for Wike, Fayose in PDP again —Sheriff
Also reacting to the judgment, its apparent beneficiary, Senator Sheriff, vowed to put in place a machinery that would not give room to people like Governors Nyesom Wike and Ayodele Fayose of Rivers and Ekiti states, respectively in any future arrangement in the party.
“I will engineer a restructuring of PDP such that characters like Wike and Fayose cannot find a way through to attain any position of prominence in our party in the future. They have brought shame and agony through the application of their crude and godless politics which is at variance with the principles upon which our founding fathers built our great party.
“We must find a way to sieve things so that only men of character and integrity can come through for positions of responsibility at all levels of our political engagement in the country.
“We must urgently steer the ship of PDP clear of the path of infamy which Wike and Fayose has brought our party, making Nigerians to mistaken PDP as a training ground for thugs. That is the urgent task we have. We cannot continue to advertise thug brand and expect Nigerians to take us seriously,” he said.
Is Atiku still in PDP? Has he not abandoned it for the ologogoro beggarly man who builds houses for judges while owing teachers salary
anonimi: Wike lobbied PDP committee to be Atiku’s running mate – Ex-gov’ship aspirant
Thu, 29 Sep 2022 14:33:04 WAT
Muazu Magaji, a former governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kano State, has alleged that the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, lobbied members of the party’s committee constituted to advise the presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, on the choice of his running mate.
Magaji disclosed this while speaking on Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily, on Thursday.
The Kano politician also argued that there was no proof that Atiku promised Wike the vice president position as claimed.
The PDP committee had recommended the Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa; Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel and Wike.
The committee, however, scored Wike above the other two contenders but Atiku decided to settle for Okowa. A decision that has since unsettled Wike’s camp.
Magaji, however, claimed that Wike lobbied to be scored ahead of others, adding that the Rivers State governor should not be trusted with important positions in the country.
2023: PDP and politics of healing Wike’s self-inflicted injury
Then, the race began in earnest for three years now, reaching a frenzy with the works of the two PDP committees on zoning. The first was the Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi committee on the zoning of the PDP party offices. The Ugwuanyi committee quickly told the world the committee’s assignment did not cover zoning the office of the president. Though this was true, the question is: why didn’t the Ugwuanyi committee zone the PDP chairmanship to the North without aligning it to the divide that would produce the PDP presidential flag-bearer? The second committee headed by Gov Samuel Ortom of Benue state was specifically on the zoning of the presidential ticket and, with the votes of the representatives of all the 17 Southern states without any exception, the Committee unanimously recommended throwing open the PDP presidential ticket, which the PDP NEC simply upheld.
One thing irrefutably stands out – Wike shot himself in the leg. Here was a man who had an overarching influence on both committees but could not insist that the ticket be zoned South. Many had wondered why? The reason is also relatively in plain sight: the Southeast factor. As the clamour for zoning of the presidential ticket of the PDP to South reached its crescendo, many had pointed out the fact that though the PDP Constitution had prescribed zoning of the office of the president to be between North and South since the South-west and South-south had taken their turns in producing the president and the vice in this current dispensation in the persons of Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, zoning this time around, should not just be to the South but the Southeast.
Atiku Abubakar went a step further by offering to step down from the race if it would be agreed that the touted zoning to the South would mean micro-zoning to the Southeast. Wike and the rest could not take the Atiku challenge maybe because Atiku would likely back Peter Obi, who was his vice-presidential running mate in 2019 and an ally. The prospects of Peter Obi picking the ticket if PDP zoned South was so real compelling Wike to go for an open contest, believing he could pick it up ahead of Atiku, Tambuwal and Bala Mohammed, given his large war chest.
ddippset: Says a man who hijacked the party and singlehandedly produced the last 4 National Chairmen of the party for his own selfishness.
Says a man who accepted nomination to be running mate to Fulani Atiku. He knew it was injustice to give Atiku the ticket yet he lobbied to be the VP.
He knew the party had to go South for the 2023 election, yet he still put Secondus as National Chaiman just to hijack the party.. Only to push Secondus out because he wanted the ticket 2023.
This man remains the biggest problem of PDP.
He can only deceive and fool his minions, not reasonable people.
May be if ADC candidate steps down,it can make a difference
It does not have to make a difference to YOU.
It makes a difference to the hardworking people of Osun state who are eager to continue Adeleke's light instead of returning to APC darkness of debts with Oyetola and his finance commissioner lackey.
Osun has embraced the light. No going back to APC darkness!!!
SoliBayNG: All these nonsense laws should be scrapped. You rape a state dry, then still continue to get benefits after you leave. These idiots all around shouldnt even be talking
What does your own state lawmaker say about scrapping it?
Do you even know who that is, talk less about having any leverage over him/ her to do what you and your fellow citizens want
Sheuns: Why should a former governor have his car replaced every 4 years?
Even the US presidents don’t enjoy such largesse.
That is the progreThief template laid down by Tinubu and his pastor Osinbajo Attorney general in 2007.
The illegality of ex-governors collecting both salaries and pensions as ministers
The life pension packages of former state governors has been a controversial issue since 2007 when the first set of Fourth Republic governors served out their eight-year tenures. It is a new low in public morality or governance, which has elicited a large dose of flak from Nigerians. It is not only odious but a serious violation of Nigeria’s Constitution. What makes it even more obnoxious is the fact that there are about seven, out of eight former governors in President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet, who enjoy this obviously undeserved reward, and will, at the same time, be paid salaries as serving public officers.
Ironically, the president is one of them. As governor of Lagos State between 1999 and 2007, his administration was the first to chart this unpopular policy course, which has now careened into more than half of the 36 states of the federation. This is despicable.
seunmsg: Is Demola Adeleke in charge of governance in Osun state? Go to Osun state and ask about Dupe and Deji Adeleke, they are the ones ruling and not Demola. That's the difference Demola and Okpebholo.
The difference is that Adeleke is performing and reducing APC inherited debts to workers, pensioners, banks etc while the Edo governor is increasing debts, just like the balablu bulaba clueless clown in Aso Rock
Lekan239: Someone who actually lives in Osun State can say, I don't want this particular person, because they live there, they see what is happening, they know the issues affecting the state, and they have the opportunity to compare the candidates. Then someone who has never even lived in Osun before, probably knows little or nothing about how the state is being governed or what the other candidates are offering, will sit online and start insulting people simply because of partisan politics. This is politics. You cannot be more passionate about a state's election than the people who actually live there and will live with the consequences of that decision. And the funny thing is, politics changes all the time. The person you are defending today that makes u hate another party logo and the party you are attacking today can switch sides tomorrow. The same politician you are praising can wake up one day and join the very party you have spent years calling names and having hatred for. What will you do then? Start changing your principles every time the politician changes parties? Political parties are vehicles. Politicians can move from one vehicle to another. Your brain should not move with them every time they change direction.
Is that how oyinbos play politics without governance principles, to attract us there in japa frenzy
seunmsg: I agree fully with Sowore's assessment that Demola Adeleke shouldn't be running a state in Nigeria. The governor surely doesn't have the capacity to lead and deliver good governance. The earlier he is voted out, the better for the state.
Does your balablu bulaba master strategist of propaganda politics have the capacity to lead a local government
The earlier the jagaBandioot is voted out, the better for Nigeria.
Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun made this known at the end of the inaugural Federal Executive Council meeting in Abuja. Mr. Edun said that the benefit of the subsidy removal will be plough back into various sectors to improve business environment for local and foreign investment. He added that with the increased revenue from subsidy removal, various palliatives have been made available to cushion its effect on a short, medium and long-term basis.
Ofunaofu: Report: Current Govt Added More Debt in Two Years Than Nigeria Accumulated in 55 Years
• Decries Nigeria’s debt service-to-revenue ratio
•Urges FG to declare fiscal emergency
A new policy brief has warned that Nigeria’s worsening debt profile and weak revenue generation have pushed the country into a dangerous fiscal position, with the current administration accumulating more debt in two years than Nigeria recorded during its first 55 years after independence.
The report, released by the Alliance for Economic Research and Ethics LTD/GTE, a Nigerian policy think tank, argued that the country’s debt crisis has evolved into a governance and revenue emergency, as debt servicing obligations now exceed the federal government’s retained earnings. > > According to the think tank, Nigeria’s public debt rose sharply from N87.38 trillion in June 2023 to N159.28 trillion by the end of 2025, with President Bola Tinubu’s administration accounting for about N65.9 trillion of the increase within its first two years in office.
The organisation in the brief titled: “Nigeria Is Borrowing to Breathe—and the Clock Is Ticking”, noted that Nigeria accumulated only about N12.06 trillion in debt from independence in 1960 up to 2015, meaning the current administration added more than five times that amount in just 24 months.
The report stated that while previous governments also contributed significantly to the country’s rising debt burden, the speed of accumulation under the current administration had intensified concerns over fiscal sustainability.
“President Bola Tinubu’s administration has added a further N65.9 trillion in just two years. To put that in perspective: it took Nigeria’s first 55 years of independence to accumulate N12 trillion in debt. The current administration has added more than five times that amount in 24 months,” it argued.
It recalled that Nigeria briefly became almost debt-free externally after the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo secured an $18 billion Paris Club debt relief package in 2005 and paid $12 billion to extinguish about $30 billion in external obligations.
Lanruze: PBAT just threw BKO the plump sized man in TVC under the bus.
Claiming he saw smoke in Warri Refinery🤣
No be today A-looter Propaganda Conmen, APC magicians start to dey see fake smoke for refineries. They have been seeing it since 2015, and even saw ships exporting fuel from their phantom refineries in December 2024.
How should God punish these balablu, bulaba propagandist liars
The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation has announced that the Port Harcourt and Warri refineries have been successfully re-streamed after a nine-month rehabilitation exercise conducted by its in-house engineers and technicians.
The corporation, in a statement, noted that both plants commenced preliminary production of petroleum products after successful test-runs, adding that while PHRC was ramping up its operation to about 60 per cent of its 210,000 barrels per day capacity, WRPC production was projected to hit 80 per cent of its installed 125,000bpd capacity.
The NNPC said the Port Harcourt refinery was projected to boost the nation’s local refining capacity with a product yield of five million litres of petrol per day, while Warri refinery would contribute 3.5 million litres of petrol.
Providing insight into the rehabilitation exercise, the NNPC noted that it had to adopt the phased rehabilitation strategy after the Original Refinery Builders, who were initially contacted for the project came up with unfavorable terms.
It said, “Though a decision was taken in 2011 to rehabilitate all the refineries using the ORB of each of the refineries, we were impelled to switch strategy after the ORBs declined participation and nominated some partners in their stead who came up with outrageously unfavorable terms.”
The NNPC stated that the nominated partners, as sole-bidders, came up with humongous price offers after two years of thorough and exhaustive scope of work definition and price negotiations.
It added that the proxies were also unwilling to provide post rehabilitation performance guarantees.
The corporation said, “The phased rehabilitation strategy which entailed phased and simultaneous rehabilitation of all the refineries using in-house and locally available resources in line with the spirit and letter of the Nigerian Content Law, also involved the use of Original Equipment Manufacturer representatives to effect major equipment overhaul and rehabilitation.”
The national oil firm said the phased rehabilitation programme, which started in October 2014 after the required funding stream was established, created a 70 per cent reduction in costs which helped largely in mitigating the financing challenges of refinery rehabilitation.
It observed that with the successful re-streaming of the PHRC and WRPC, attention has now moved to the 110,000 barrels per day Kaduna Refining and Petrochemicals Company which was billed to come on stream soon.
saintopus: Dec 06, 2024 The PH Refinery ships its first export of petroleum products to Dubai.
The company is expected to load the cargo in the coming days onboard the Wonder Star MR1 ship, signalling the commencement of operations at the plant and the exportation of petroleum products.
The ship will load 15,000 metric tons of the product, which translates to about 13.6 million litres.
Although the volume coming from the NNPC into the global market is still small, the development has the potential to impact the Very Low Sulphur Fuel Oil (VLSFO) benchmarks in the future while changing the market realities for Atlantic Basin exporters into Nigeria and other regions.
The sulfur content of the export by NNPC stands at 0.26 per cent per wt and a 0.918 g/ml density at 15°C, according to Kpler, a data and analysis company.
The cargo was reportedly sold at an $8.50/t discount to the NWE 0.5 per cent benchmark on a Free on Board (FOB) basis.
Kpler reported that the development would help displace imports from traditional suppliers in Africa and Europe, as Nigeria’s falling clean product (CPP) imports are already decreasing, dragging imports into the wider West Africa region lower as well.
callmeDDD: E3You are always bitter from morning until night. Is everything ok in your life? Do you need help? Are you running on debts that is caused by this present government? What is the correlation of what you said and the topic?
The correlation is in the opening line.
As for bitterness, the master strategist of propaganda politics and his A-looter ProgreThieves Conmen, APC comrades take the prize.
7upnigeria: Better go and do brain check up. Wetin concern you with Yoruba?
We are not talking about drug trafficking or fake products here.
Why do you want to drag the master strategist of drug trafficking into this conversation
Are you sure you know who needs to do brain check up here?
Racoon: Festus Keyamo Defends Tinubu From Drug Trafficking, Says Tinubu Mistakenly Shared Flats With Drug Lords
The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr Festus Keyamo, has distanced the All Progressive Congress presidential candidata, Bola Tinubu, from being a drug baron who was involved in the traffic of narcotics in the United States.
Keyamo, who also doubles as APC Presidential Campaign spokesperson, noted that the former governor of Lagos State only shared a block of flat with drug barons about 30 years ago in the US.
His reaction is coming following documents of a Chicago District Court indicting and convicting Tinubu of drug dealings and money laundering in 1993.
The document which emerged online two days ago, described APC standard-bearer as a drug baron, adding that Tinubu entered a plea bargain, leading to the forfeiture of his assets to US authorities in 1993
It was also pointed out that Tinubu forfeited the sum of $460, 000 dollars in his bank account at First Heritage Bank to the US government.
Speaking on Wednesday on Channels TV, Mr Keyamo dismissed such claims, insisting that Tinubu was linked to drug peddlers who were his neighbours.
He said: “What happened was that Tinubu went to open an account. The address which he used in opening the account was the address used by these people. I think some blocks of flats. Maybe, he was happy to be in that block of flats too.
“So, they now link it that the other people they were investigating for narcotics are in the same address used by Asiwaju to open that account.’’
No be today wey senior boys start to dey chance small boys.
Are we no longer having the most extreme poverty paupers and out of school children?
How do we compare with America on economic and military strength
Did Tinubu not invite them to bomb innocent northerners as collateral damage in the search for Muslim terrorists accused of Christian genocide, since the master strategist of balablu bulaba propaganda politics has no clue how to govern?
Menclothing1: Thus is a good development very soon others will copy it takes one person to start first
When will it take one person to get progressive governors to employ enough well paid professional teachers to make education free for all children like it was in Lagos State 46 years ago
saintopus: It's a fantastic development. It has worked in sane climes let's see how it works here in Nigeria.
How many of those climes have the highest number of extreme poverty paupers and out of school children, with people drinking water from shitty boreholes?
The federal government is not responsible for water supply in cities and towns. This is the responsibility of states.
500 gallons of water go for N20k. Multiply by 4 in a month, that's N80k. By extrapolation, that's N960k in a year on water alone. Why? Because the governor believes that clean and accessible water is the least of his worries. Yet they prance around like Enugu is Abuja even though the red muddy soil will have residents looking like they went tomb-raiding at night.
But then, considering where it was before Peter Mba, one can understand the accolades being that he moved the town from 16th Century to 17th Century but not anywhere near 20th Century. 21st Century is a stretch. EEDC? The worst of all.
The Permanent Secretary, Office of Drainage Services and Water Resources in Lagos State, Mahmood Adegbite, has said that people drilling borehole in the Lekki axis of the state is probably drinking ‘’shit water.”
While speaking at a stakeholders meeting in the state recently, Adegbite noted that contaminated boreholes in Lekki pose health risk and added that treatment of waste water would eradicate any form of disease that may arise from it.
He said, “On waste water treatment, I will say that everyone digging borehole within the Lekki axis is probably drinking what I will call ‘shit water.’
MrSly: Simply because leadership is now for the highest bidder and benefactors of fraud. That is why a drug dealer is a president in a country in West Africa.
Who are the recipients of the bids and proceeds of fraud, if not the Stockholm Syndrome victims themselves, who use tribalistic zoning and rotation to share the national cake of corruption in local, state and federal governments
This is beyond the governor's structure. It's about the light that Adeleke has shone on Osun state, which has replaced APC darkness.
Oyetola and his lackey are labouring in vain to return the state to the dark ages of their wickedness, but the people are resolute. Imole for a second term Accordingly.
In addition to playing politics with the 2012 fuel deregulation policy, APC leaders looters invited terrorists to destroy our country, before Tinubu asked Buhari to come out of retirement and end Jonathan presidency at one term.
brain54: ::: Leadership in Nigeria is just being recycled and rotated amongst a few people. Only a few outsiders like Jonathan have broken in.
The sad part is that those who have the final say in the scheme of things are busy distracted and disunited by petty politics and tribalism.
In a sane place tinubu should have never been president based on his past records or absence of it
The middle elites who should know and do better don't come out to vote during elections leaving the job to the crude lower class who are easily influenced by small things like rice and as little as 2k.
The bitter truth is you can't blame the few for rotating and sharing power amongst themselves. Political Power is never given out freely.
As they say in the local palance make I burst femi's bubble and tell him tinubu is most likely to win a return. Because people aren't pained enough to come out to vote in mass.
Nigerians still aren't ready for change from the terrible leaders that has plagued them like a sore since independence.
Y'all should better brace up for the part 2: the return.:::
How will we ever have a sane clime when people like you describe Jonathan as an outsider, even though he ran for Dep. Gov, became governor after Obasanjo dealt with Alams fcvkup, before he was made Yar'Adua's running mate and became president after his death?
If he was an insider, what else would he have done?
He is a lesser sinner perhaps, who was clueless about politicking hence why he was booted out easily by APC leaders who invited terrorists to destroy the country. Was it not after the terrorists started their job that Tinubu begged Buhari to be APC change messiah for 2015?
MIKOLOWISKA: how many newspapers were arrested under them How many governors removed in state of emergency How did chuba okadigbo die Under who were lawmakers locked out of nass
odinga1of: Do we need a circular to freeze account?
But Osun State government account was frozen!
Naija matter
That is not Naija matter o.
It’s the master strategist of balablu bulaba propaganda setting up for 3rd term agenda as life president, in the same way that Cameroonians have Paul Biya.
The 3rd term agenda that Obasanjo failed to achieve in 2007, because Atiku led other democratic heroes to kill the bill in the NASS despite Ghana must go bags of bribe.
MrSly: It took US to find out people hiding under Una enclave. This is why the whites cannot take us serious. The crop of leaders we have now are too lazy and biased.
How can leaders who are lazy and biased emerge from among us people who are not lazy and biased?
Hezzyluv: Politics na very dirty game. Aje, APC member fit kpai this man just spoil their opposition name.
Is that not what Abacha did to NADECO- send Sergeant Rogers to bomb places and kill people, only to turn around and blame the democracy activists.
The way this Tinubu is being so dictatorial, gives credence to the notion of him being Abacha’s double agent inside NADECO.
anonimi: My dad, victim of complex conspiracy – Kola Abiola
What role did Bola Tinubu play in all of these?
At the very beginning, he was part of the Yar’Adua PF group from Jos. He was a senator then, and as far as the group went, we related. The crisis started post-election. When Abacha came, one of the things he wanted to do was to be the administrator for Lagos.
That is Tinubu?
Yes. I am sure you have seen pictures of him and my dad. He was hoping that there would be civilian administrators like we had under IBB but Abacha said no, that he was going to have military administrators. So he (Tinubu) said okay, in that case, can I be a deputy administrator? But Abacha said that there wouldn’t be deputies. Then he wanted the post of a commissioner.
He wanted to be a commissioner?
Yes. Then it was a choice between him and someone very close to Jakande who has passed on now. I can’t remember his name, but because Babagana was already in the government, that guy was picked as commissioner. But really, Senator Tinubu had lost out already.
Was Tinubu very close to MKO?
Yes, he was close enough. He and Adeniyi Adele, a very good guy, were close to my father. In fact, Adeniyi was closer to my father and more dedicated to the process than anyone of them. When my documentary comes out, you will see Tinubu’s take on issues. So once he lost out, automatically, he became a NADECO member and Adeniyi was incarcerated.
