Johnnyessence: The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Wednesday said President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration lacks the wherewithal to tackle the country’s security challenges.
The former Lagos State governor therefore asked Jonathan to resign as Nigerian president. The APC chieftain spoke in Ilorin, Kwara State, during the formal declaration of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed’s bid for second term in office.
The event was attended by former head of state and APC’s presidential aspirant, Muhammadu Buhari, former vice Abubakar Atiku and governors of Imo, Rivers, Kano, Sokoto and Edo States. Also in attendance were – the Speaker of House of Representative, Aminu Tambuwal, Senator Bukola Saraki, former governors of Kwara and Ekiti States, Alhaji Shaaba Lafiagi and Dr. Kayode Fayemi, APC’s spokesperson, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, member, Board of Trustees of the party, Alhaji Abubakar Baraje and Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Razak Atunwa.
Tinubu said, “I saw the sea of refuges caused by the Boko Haram insurgents and the lies coming from Jonathan’s administration. They have exhibited failure, lack of capacity, vision and creativity. The lies of yesterday are what they repeat today and are what they will repeat tomorrow. They are lying to you. “They are lying about the security, toying about the security of this country. I don’t have time to explain the logic of their lies. “But if you control the armed forces and you are the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic, why should any part of this country be under occupation? And you give us excuses every day. In any civilized country Jonathan should have resigned. But if he will not resign, he should wait for our broom, we will sweep him away. I will come back.
“This is just the endorsement of Governor Ahmed, that he will be re-elected by the grace of God with the support of you people here and those outside there. The unemployment situation will be conquered by this administration of APC. We have the vision for the security of the lives of our children.
“The thieves that daily steal your money have not given you any job, they cannot create jobs and they are starving states of funds to pay workers salaries. The best thing to do is to sweep them away through broom revolution. APC is a party of the masses. “It now behooves on you to begin a house to house campaign that this is a party of the masses.”
muykem: Very good. Let each state protect herself.
What is the sense in doing that if the president keeps 53% of the federation account while 36 states scramble for 27%?
Why are you not asking your own senator and representative to amend the constitution for each state and LGA collect taxes and revenue on the mineral resources in their soil? Is that not how farmers & ranchers collect the revenue generated from the minerals in their soil that make crops grow to feed their cows and other animals?
omenka: Nothing irritates reasonable people more than this mesiahnic image the headless mob always paints of the Agulu Padora crook.
As a hypocrite, you probably don’t realise how Tinubu and others in Oshiomhole’s Assembly of Past Criminals, APC were the headless mob that painted Buhari in messianic fashion 11 years ago, just so that the master strategist can get his own turn in 2023!
Emergingnation: Flashback: How Bola Tinubu spoke highly of Buhari in 2015, named PDP ‘Poverty Development Party
National leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu had during the presidential campaign in 2015, referred to President Muhammadu Buhari as the only solution for the security and economic challenges facing Nigeria.
During a mega presidential rally, the former governor of Lagos State recalled how some powerful nations in the world returned to army generals when they were challenged, saying “Major General Buhari would revive Nigeria’s economy”.
He named the current opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP as the “Poverty Development Party saying they had nothing to offer.
His words at the time were; “Every nation has a period of their own challenges, when America was challenged, they turned to one great man, their ex-military general, General Eisenhower. When the French were challenged, they turned to their general, Charles de Gaulle.
“When Britain was challenged, they turned to their general. Today, Nigeria is economically and physically challenged so we turn to General Muhammadu Buhari. He is the right man for the job. If you talk about military experience, he has it abundantly, he has courage, simplicity, he has it abundantly.
“If you talk about great determination, a combination of vision and ability to perform, honesty and integrity, he has it abundantly.
“I laugh when the incapable government, ‘Poverty Development Party’ PDP were talking. They have nothing again to say, they now want to question the qualifications of General Buhari and look for his certificate”.
Following the manifestos in 2015 which projected the APC presidential candidate as a ‘saviour’, Buhari defeated the then incumbent president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan with Nigerians expecting a total change in security and economy.
DomPerignon: Someone that bribed and bought LP Presidential ticket ?
You must be talking about the master strategist, who knew that was the only way to get his own turn to continue APC extreme poverty and insecurity shege, which started in 2015 when he made Buhari president, four years after calling him expired.
This was how the Jagaban of Borgu made Jonathan a one term president in favour of his fellow northerner Buhari, thereby ending 16 years of PDP prosperity, peace and stability with cheap petrol, cheap dollars, high productivity, low unemployment and low debt burden.
lexylaw40: The “president-elect” saw in Obi's presidential bid, a good chance to reduce the winning chances of the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar.
The governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Oyo State, Tawfiq Akinwale, on Wednesday stated that the “President-elect” Bola Tinubu asked popular economist, Prof Pat Utomi to step down for Peter Obi in the buildup to the 2023 general elections.
Akinwale made this revelation while he appeared as a guest on a radio programme on 101.7 YES FM, Ibadan, Oyo State, while alleging that Obi received campaign funds from Utomi, whom he described as Tinubu's "son."
The LP aspirant, who spoke in Yoruba language, said "In the buildup to the 2023 elections, Obi who had purchased the nomination form of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), suddenly announced his exit from the party.
"Initially, Pat Utomi had secured the LP's presidential ticket, but when Peter Obi said he resigned from the PDP and joined the LP. Bola Tinubu, a master political strategist, quickly told Utomi, that everyone knows to be his son to step down for Obi.
"The “president-elect” saw in Obi's presidential bid, a good chance to reduce the winning chances of the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar.
"What Peter Obi didn't know is much more that what he knows, he started collecting campaign funds from Utomi, while Tinubu was giving the money to Utomi.
"This went on until Obi's presidential campaign got to a stage it went beyond target. Obi was used without him knowing," Akinwale said after announcing his departure from the party.
Obi defected to the LP after resigning his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and also withdrawing from the presidential race under the party.
The former governor consequently joined the race for the party’s presidential ticket, while Professor Pat Utomi, in June 2022 stepped down for him to emerge as the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, unopposed in Asaba, Delta State.

anonimi: Nigeria: Pensioners Urge Tinubu to Pay Arrears
26 March 2003 This Day (Lagos)
Lagos — Pension teachers in Lagos State under the aegis of Teacher Pensioners of Nigeria (TEPAN) have urged Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to review his stance on paying the harmonised three year old outstanding pension allowance or risk losing their votes.
In a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of TEPAN, Mr. Ayodabo 'Lade, accused Tinubu of failing to pay the arrears to teachers on their correct pension grade since the year 2000, contrary to what was obtainable in other five States of the South-west controlled by the Alliance for Democracy (AD).
yns4real: Obi’s call for President Tinubu’s resignation childish and an unwarranted distraction
What is childish is how Tinubu continues to show his hypocrisy by failing to do what he promised and not resigning as he recommended to Jonathan 11 years ago, when the master strategist begged his 2011 expired old soldier to be president.
EkoIle1: It is now abundantly clear that President Jonathan has finally bared his fangs confirming what was widely speculated. By declaring a state of emergency in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa, he has intimidated and emasculated the governors of these States. We are witnessing a dangerous trend in the art of governance and a deliberate ploy to subvert constitutional democracy.
The body language of the Jonathan administration leads any keen watcher of events with unmistakable conclusion of the existence of a surreptitious but barely disguised intention to muzzle the elected governments of these states for what is clearly a display of unpardonable mediocrity and diabolic partisanship geared towards 2015.
Borno and Yobe states have been literally under armies of occupation with the attendant excruciating hardship experienced daily by the indigenes and residents of these areas. This government now wants to use the excuse of the security challenges faced by the Governors to remove them from the states considered hostile to the 2015 PDP/Jonathan project.
Let me be quick to say that this administration will be setting in motion a chain of events the end of which nobody can predict. Experience has shown clearly that actions, such as this one under consideration, often give root to radical ideologies and extremist tendencies, a direct opposite of the intended outcome of unwarranted and unintelligent meddlesomeness. The present scenario playing out in the country reminds one of the classical case of a mediocre craftsman who continually blames the tools of his trade for his serial failure but refuses to look at his pitiable state with a view to adjusting.
It has become crystal clear, even to the most incurable optimist, that the country is adrift. That the ship of the Nigerian state is rudderless is clearly evident in the consistent and continual attacks ferociously executed by elements often referred to as the insurgents in some northern states of the federation, particularly Borno and Yobe states respectively.
Indeed, no part of the country is immune from the virulent but easy attacks, veritable indices of a failing state. Unfortunately, the tenuous and uncoordinated approach adopted by this government betrays a grossly incompetent disposition which stands at variance with current realities in the country, nay the international community where acts of terrorism are engaged and contained. No Governor of a state in Nigeria is the Chief Security Officer. Putting the blame on the Governors, who have been effectively emasculated, for the abysmal performance of the government at the centre which controls all these security agencies, smacks of ignorance and mischief.
ogaontop: All these issues Dangote crushed with hammer com resemble Tinubu! A coincidence or intent?
It’s a great coincidence because Tinubu tried and failed to sabotage the entire process of deregulation in 2012 that birthed the refinery.
This was when he used Buhari’s 2011 running mate in CPC’s failed attempt to get power, Tunde Bakare to lead Ojota protests, which they later confessed was only to play politics with the wellbeing of 200 million Nigerians.
He also tried and failed to sabotage the refinery in 2024, when he unleashed his NMDPRA dogs 🐕 to destroy it by claiming its products were of inferior quality and that it was not licensed, a year after Buhari’s launch.
Racoon: Festus Keyamo Defends Tinubu From Drug Trafficking, Says Tinubu Mistakenly Shared Flats With Drug Lords
The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr Festus Keyamo, has distanced the All Progressive Congress presidential candidata, Bola Tinubu, from being a drug baron who was involved in the traffic of narcotics in the United States.
Keyamo, who also doubles as APC Presidential Campaign spokesperson, noted that the former governor of Lagos State only shared a block of flat with drug barons about 30 years ago in the US.
His reaction is coming following documents of a Chicago District Court indicting and convicting Tinubu of drug dealings and money laundering in 1993.
The document which emerged online two days ago, described APC standard-bearer as a drug baron, adding that Tinubu entered a plea bargain, leading to the forfeiture of his assets to US authorities in 1993
It was also pointed out that Tinubu forfeited the sum of $460, 000 dollars in his bank account at First Heritage Bank to the US government.
Speaking on Wednesday on Channels TV, Mr Keyamo dismissed such claims, insisting that Tinubu was linked to drug peddlers who were his neighbours.
He said: “What happened was that Tinubu went to open an account. The address which he used in opening the account was the address used by these people. I think some blocks of flats. Maybe, he was happy to be in that block of flats too.
“So, they now link it that the other people they were investigating for narcotics are in the same address used by Asiwaju to open that account.’’
Mr food is ready and oby ezekwesili will rush to all media houses to react and condemn it
Are they doing what your master strategist did before 2015, when he begged Buhari to make Jonathan a one term president? That’s when Jagaban of Borgu fraudulently sold his fellow northerner as APC change messiah, just four years after calling him an expired old soldier.

zionstaar75: gbam!you are very knowledgeable. Some states now receives 15 times what they were receiving before subsidy removal but the useless governors are just building conference centres with the money 💰
Can you please provide verifiable figures on your state that now receives 15 times federal allocation than you did in May 2015, as its own 1/36 share of 27% of the federation account!
Does it mean that Tinubu is also receiving 15 times of the lion share of 53% of the federation account?
I hope you will seize this opportunity to prove that you are not a balablu, bulaba, chochocho propagandist liar.

Who else is a worse enemy of Nigeria than the master plan owner of waterless Lagos state
belikewater: Crude wey be say dem dey take pay back debt Buhari don borrow since from China. No wonder it ain't making no impact on the economy.
Was Buhari president in 2023 when his chaperone of eight years earlier borrowed $3.3 billion from Afreximbank, using an opaque SPV account to funnel future oil revenues, to repay the debt that was supposed to help Tinubu achieve N300/$1.
The loan was arranged by Elumelu’s UBA bank at the outrageous rate of 11.85%
HacheNoire: Nairaland wannabe’s will be here shortly to tell us how Trump’s deal is better!
Is that not how APC apologists and Tinubu worshippers confuse themselves that the reforms of their master strategists has made life better for Nigerians since 2023, based on his balablu, bulaba, fake news and false announcements?
KennethOkonkwo: Let's set politics aside and discuss the real economic issues. When people ask, "Where is the money saved from fuel subsidy removal?" I hope that question is not directed solely at President Tinubu or the Federal Government. First, it is important to understand that Nigeria still runs a significant budget deficit even after removing fuel subsidies. The savings from subsidy removal alone are nowhere near enough to eliminate the deficit. In other words, removing fuel subsidies does not automatically end government borrowing. What subsidy removal does is increase the amount of money available in the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC). However, FAAC funds do not belong exclusively to President Tinubu or the Federal Government. Constitutionally, those funds are shared among the Federal Government, state governments, and local governments. The President cannot spend FAAC allocations at will, nor can he dictate how state governors or local government chairmen use their respective shares. Therefore, if the question is, "What is the subsidy savings being used for?" that question should not be directed only at the Federal Government. It should also be asked of your state governor and your local government chairman, since they receive constitutionally allocated shares of the increased FAAC revenue. Secondly, even the Federal Government's share of the additional FAAC revenue is insufficient to cover Nigeria's annual budget deficit, which remains substantial. As a result, the country still has to borrow. The difference now is that, in principle, borrowing is no longer primarily intended to finance fuel subsidies or recurrent obligations such as salaries, but rather to support capital and infrastructure projects. This shift in fiscal policy has contributed to improvements in Nigeria's sovereign credit outlook. Rating agencies such as S&P Global Ratings and Fitch Ratings have upgraded Nigeria's outlook in recent times, partly because of reforms including fuel subsidy removal and exchange-rate liberalization. Finally, Nigerians should not expect these reforms to produce an immediate and drastic reduction in the prices of goods and services. The more realistic expectation is that they will help stabilize inflation over time, restore macroeconomic stability, and gradually improve purchasing power as the economy adjusts. Economic reforms typically take time before their full benefits are reflected in the cost of living.
All these dogo turenchi to defend the integriThief of Tinubu and other A-looter Propaganda Conmen, APC leaders. Does Tinubu have 53% of the federation account alone, while 36 governors share 27%?
Why are we borrowing more now than when we had cheap petrol and cheap dollars with high productivity, low unemployment and low insecurity during 16 years of PDP prosperity, peace and stability anchored on Obasanjo/Atiku's privatisation and deregulation foundation?
How can we surpass OPEC quota, save billions of dollars in subsidy removal, reduce imports and increase non oil exports YET the master strategist has failed to deliver on his short term promise of N300/$1?
This is not just impossible, it’s also impossiCan’t.
ijustdey: Nigeria will pay an interest of 11.85 percent per annum on the $3.3 billion “pre-export finance facility” (PxF) facilitated by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Ltd and arranged by Afrexim Bank, TheCable can report.
Until now, the fine details of the transaction, which has a five-year tenor, had been withheld by all parties involved.
A similar cocoa-backed $800 million facility arranged for Ghana by its cocoa marketing board attracts an interest of 8 percent per annum.
Bilateral lenders, such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF), would typically charge 1-3 percent with a longer tenor.
In the details seen by TheCable, Nigeria pledged a total of 164.25 million barrels of crude oil — at 90,000 barrels per day — starting from 2024 to repay the loan through Project Gazelle Funding Ltd, an “orphan” special purpose vehicle (SPV) incorporated in Bahamas for the PxF.
Effectively, the NNPC has pledged 38.58 percent of five years’ worth of tax and royalty oil to secure the loan.
Nigeria pledges over $12 billion worth of oil At the beginning of 2024, a barrel of Nigerian oil was sold at the international market at $77.93 per barrel, according to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) data.
At $77.93 per barrel, the 164.25 million barrels of oil pledged by Nigeria equals $12.8 billion — about three times more than the facility taken.
Pre-2014, the national oil company used to remit an average of $3 billion from oil sales every month.
Officially, Project Gazelle Funding Ltd (PGFL) is the borrower while the NNPC is the “sponsor” and will pay with oil to the SPV to liquidate the loan.
To make the repayment, the NNPC will forward-sell 90,000 barrels per day of Nigeria’s share of offshore crude oil under the production sharing contract (PSCs) with the oil companies.
Under PSCs, the companies usually pay royalties and taxes by giving the oil equivalent to the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) and the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) respectively.
The NNPC in turn exports the oil on behalf of NUPRC and FIRS and remits the proceeds to the agencies.
This is part of the revenues paid into the federation account and shared by the three tiers of government.
But under the PxF, the revenue from 90,000 barrels per day will be used to service the loan in the next five years.
The loan arrangers will get a commission of $66 million or 2% of the facility, TheCable further learnt.
Nigeria will pay 2 percent penalty per annum in the event of a default.
‘DOLLAR LIQUIDITY TO STABILISE THE NAIRA’
The national oil company announced in August 2023 that the PxF was to support the federal government “in its ongoing fiscal and monetary policy reforms aimed at stabilizing the exchange rate market”, describing it as “a relief for the naira”.
It called the facility “crude oil repayment” with an upfront cash loan “against proceeds from a limited amount of future crude oil production”.
At the time, the dollar exchanged for an average of N775 in the official market and N885 on the streets.
The rates have now moved to N1,035/$ (official) and N1,230/$ (parallel).
Nigeria’s outstanding forex liabilities are currently thought to be over $7 billion.
In an explainer after announcing the PxF last year, the NNPC said its exposure is very limited, “covering just a fraction” of their entitlements and that “there are no sovereign guarantees tied to it”.
It said it “will also equip the Federal Government with the necessary dollar liquidity to stabilize the Naira, with limited risk”.
A strengthened naira as a result of the initiative, it said, “will lead to a reduction in fuel costs. This means that if the Naira appreciates in value, the cost of fuel will drop and further increases will be halted”.
It also ruled out subsidies, maintaining that a stronger naira “will result in lower prices from the current level, making subsidies unnecessary. The deregulation policy remains unchanged”.
Critics questioned NNPC’s involvement in getting loans to boost forex reserves when it should be concentrating its efforts on bringing in more oil revenues.
There were also questions over the decision to pledge the tax and royalty oil belonging to the entire federation to secure the loan.
Analysts also queried why the details of the deal were never made public.
May Day: Hunger, unemployment, insecurity real— Tinubu
According to him: “The theme demands our collective attention and serves as a stark reminder of the need to create an environment where every worker feels safe, valued, and empowered to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our nation. As your President, I assure you that this administration is committed to creating such an environment for the common good.”
On the economic hardship, he noted that while it is a global phenomenon, its effects on Nigerians are particularly severe.
Tinubu said: “I am aware of the peculiarities of the economic hardship Nigerians face—rising living costs, hunger, insecurity, unemployment, and the loss of livelihoods. These challenges are real and demand definitive solutions, which I am poised to address as your President.

anonimi: The migrant crisis in Libya and the Nigeria experience
JUNE 24, 2019
The drive for survival and for greener pastures has continued to force millions of West African young men and women to gamble with death in attempts to cross over to Europe and other parts of the world. This quest to escape poverty, hunger, unemployment and insecurity, among other reasons, caused a major segment of Nigeria’s population to seek alternatives for better livelihood prospects for themselves and their families.
Those seeking economic survival see irregular migration as the best alternative, given the difficulty and resources involved in migrating through regular and legitimate routes. In many instances, very few of the original number who set out on these dangerous journeys live to tell their stories. While many regularly drown in the Mediterranean Sea, many also die in the deserts, and others are sold as slaves in a modern slave market.
Most of the victims of this trade are from West Africa. Many of them leave home with expectations of getting to Europe and other destinations perceived to have better economic prospects for them, but they end up in the slave merchant nets in North Africa. The victims are put in camps and sold in open markets in Libya, while the international community watches in silence. The geographical location of Libya renders it a transit route for migrants journeying to Italy and many other parts of Europe.
thewinning101: PANDORA PAPERS: Buhari visited Tinubu in corruption-tainted London villa acquired by Oyetola
Governor Oyetola, a relative of Mr Tinubu, may have sabotaged his own country by buying the exotic property as Nigeria made to seize it.
ByNicholas IbekweandTaiwo-Hassan Adebayo October 7, 2021 in Headline Stories, Pandora Papers Reading Time: 8 mins read
It was a meeting of two of Nigeria’s most influential politicians in London – President Muhammadu Buhari was visiting political kingmaker and senior member of his ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.
In July, the presidency announced that Mr Buhari was heading to London for an education summit. The office also added that the president would also see his doctors for “medical check-up”.
Coincidentally, Mr Tinubu, who had travelled to London earlier, was also receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment in the British capital. So, a perfect setting for both men to meet was created.
Colonia: The former governor of Abia State, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu, has been accused of laundering about N3 billion by the EFCC. The EFCC detailed a total of 107 counts charge, giving a blow-by-blow account of how he allegedly used the machinery of Slok, his private company, to launder about N3billion.
The EFCC said a pattern was established in the alleged looting of Abia State funds in the form of “piecemeal but frequent” transfer of the funds between the trio of Kalu, his Mother, Eunice Agwu, and Emeka Kalu.
They also gave details of how the former governor of Taraba State, Rev. Jolly Nyame, allegedly allocated the sum of N250 million for the purchase of stationery for government offices and diverted about N180 million for his personal use. The former governor said this in a confessional statement signed by him.
In March 2003 N45 million and N55 million were transferred on the 18th and 31st and on the 3rd of June 2005, N21million and N10million were allegedly transferred to Slok account.
A total of 19 witnesses, including investigating EFCC operatives, have been lined up to testify against Kalu.
On another count, the former governor of Taraba State was accused of receiving a bribe of N80 million in April, 2005, from a contractor, Abubakar Suleiman of Alusab International (Nig) Ltd, through Salman Global Ventures (Nig) Ltd in the Ibi/Wkari Water Project awarded by the Taraba State Government.
In his statement to the EFCC, the former governor admitted knowing Abubakar but said he did not know details about his company and promised to contact government officials that allegedly gave him the kick back and stated that “whatever is my share, I will refund it.”
Last Friday, the EFCC arraigned Joshua Dariye, Saminu Turaki, and Orji Kalu of Plateau, Jigawa, and Abia States respectively.
19 years later, OUK is a prominent member of Oshiomole's Assembly of Past Criminals, APC appropriately led by Jagaban of Borgu, the master strategist in looting.
Lagos — ABIA State governor, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu and his Lagos State counterpart, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu would not escape justice but would be made to face the full wrath of the law following their recent indictment for alleged corruption by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Chairman of the commission Mallam Nuhu Ribadu who made the vow yesterday said the duo must account for their stewardship and may be thrown out of office.
Goo0dHardDick: Normally, Nigeria is big brother to the entire African continent including to little SA.
Normally until 2015 when we were the biggest economy in Africa and truly a giant on the continent.
Since then, we have slipped to 4th place, due to the incompetence, cluelessness and corruption of Tinubu, Buhari and APC.
How do we reclaim our country from the balablu, bulaba master strategist of propaganda lies? The Jagaban of Borgu who went to Kaduna to beg his fellow northerner out of retirement, to make Jonathan a one term president. This was four years after saying the old soldier was expired o.
thisweekng: The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Chief Olawale Edun has said the last time Nigeria’s economy looked stable was about a decade ago.
He made this statement during his maiden press conference as Minister of Finance where he outlined President Bola Tinubu’s vision, agenda and strategy for the economy.
He said, “I think as we all know, we are not where we should be. The economy is barely growing above the rate of population growth.
“But it was not always so, and I think in trying to look at the way forward, if we now have a situation of slow growth, double-digit inflation, weak/depreciating exchange rate, as well as security concerns that are resulting in an economy that is not growing and not taking Nigerians out of poverty.
“If we think back to the last time when the economy was stable- when it was growing, when inflation was low, and the interest rate was affordable, that period was about a decade ago. Growth was about 6% in 2013 and 2014.” Private sector to drive the economy
Reference: They finally got him. UK politics is real dog eat dog stuff. Perhaps the most unattractive Head of State Government job in the entire world. They don't let their leaders drink and put cup down. Endless wahala.
Best of luck to them....heck.
Why should ANY leader be allowed to drink and put cup down?
Is that how we have destroyed Nigeria since 1960 such that we are using different styles and ways to beg Britain to recolonise us so we stop drinking water from shitty boreholes, among other deprivations of basic government services and utilities
anonimi: The migrant crisis in Libya and the Nigeria experience
500 gallons of water go for N20k. Multiply by 4 in a month, that's N80k. By extrapolation, that's N960k in a year on water alone. Why? Because the governor believes that clean and accessible water is the least of his worries. Yet they prance around like Enugu is Abuja even though the red muddy soil will have residents looking like they went tomb-raiding at night.
But then, considering where it was before Peter Mba, one can understand the accolades being that he moved the town from 16th Century to 17th Century but not anywhere near 20th Century. 21st Century is a stretch. EEDC? The worst of all.
The Permanent Secretary, Office of Drainage Services and Water Resources in Lagos State, Mahmood Adegbite, has said that people drilling borehole in the Lekki axis of the state is probably drinking ‘’shit water.”
While speaking at a stakeholders meeting in the state recently, Adegbite noted that contaminated boreholes in Lekki pose health risk and added that treatment of waste water would eradicate any form of disease that may arise from it.
He said, “On waste water treatment, I will say that everyone digging borehole within the Lekki axis is probably drinking what I will call ‘shit water.’
What are you doing to rally enough people to oblige the master planner to resign, like ordinary Britons do to make their system democratic and devoid of ethnic considerations to share the national cake of corruption?
