Wealthoptulent: WELL we can AGREE there was no "VOTE BUYING" but "CARD OFFERING WITH PRICE TAG" people didn't wait to be Convinced but THEY CAME as MARKETER, SELLER and BUISNESS Minded. cos na STILL SME SUFFERING when u vote NDC, PDP and APC.. they all the SAME..
we want a GOOD CANDIATE, NEW and GOD SENT by 2031.. ALL THESE on GROUND on for 2027 na WASH jaare.
What works are you doing to get your good candidate that is new and God sent? Abi you want Him to simply drop the candidate as president in 2031?
How much of your own time, talents and money are you committing to the political and related governance processes, since you know that faith without works is dead
By the way, why are you interested in only president? Why are you not interested in how to have good candidates that are new and God sent as LGA councillor & chairman; state lawmaker & governor, ; representative & senator
njokuuche77: The number of young people with grey hair in Nigeria these days is really alarming. Most times it’s not even genetics, it’s stress, pressure, and the kind of life many are living now.
Back then, grey hair used to be something you see only with old age and wisdom, but nowadays plenty youths are already joining the “grey gang” early. Life just hard.
The stress that has multiplied since we allowed the master strategist to scam us with his 2011 expired Buhari as APC messiah four years later.
Is that not wickedness of the worst kind
Not only has everything become worse in the last 11 years, Tinubu has taken the shege to an extra level
May Day: Hunger, unemployment, insecurity real— Tinubu
According to him: “The theme demands our collective attention and serves as a stark reminder of the need to create an environment where every worker feels safe, valued, and empowered to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our nation. As your President, I assure you that this administration is committed to creating such an environment for the common good.”
On the economic hardship, he noted that while it is a global phenomenon, its effects on Nigerians are particularly severe.
Tinubu said: “I am aware of the peculiarities of the economic hardship Nigerians face—rising living costs, hunger, insecurity, unemployment, and the loss of livelihoods. These challenges are real and demand definitive solutions, which I am poised to address as your President.
WizardOfNG: Go on Fayose. We dey behind you. Makinde must not gain control of Oyo by proxy through his stooge. He must be schemed out of Oyo politics totally by all well-meaning stakeholders.
I developed intense dislike for Makinde when he said he would consider granting Sharia in Oyo if people demanded it. That is anti-Omoluabi talk and reasoning.
Yorubas have never defined their culture and essence with religious extremism which is what I consider Sharia to be because societies have common laws that is fair to all meaning there is no need for Muslim law. In a land, all citizens must co-exist under common law. Not religious law. To me, we must relegate religion to the background, as private worship , and focus more on STEM ( science, technology, Engineering and Mathematics) to deliver solutions for society.
Makinde should be taken out of relevance in SW politics. Dangerous character in my opinion.
Did Yoruba people demand that Tinubu sell out the No. 4 position to his fellow northerners in 2011?
Why is the ayederu Jagaban of Borgu still relevant in SW politics instead of mingling with his fellow northerners? Do you know why
By the way, how can you focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) when Tinubu's Lagos master plan for progressive governance has failed to employ enough teachers for the free education of all children?
anonimi: How we foiled Jonathan’s effort to make Mulika Adeola Speaker, Akande reveals
AS president in 2011, Goodluck Jonathan did all he could to ensure South West grabbed the country’s number four seat, including lobbying then opposition leaders from the zone, to no avail. The North West eventually grabbed the seat, supported by South West leaders in opposition to then ruling party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Former Governor of Osun State and now statesman, Chief Bisi Akande, made this revelation in his autobiography, “My Participations” which is currently dominating political and national dis- course.
Aminu Tambuwal, now Sokoto State governor, won the seat, against the preferred pick of his party, Mrs Mulikat Adeola Akande, from the South-West. Defunct Action Congress of Nigeria, then a fledging opposition, which had Akande and his soulmate, former Lagos State governor, Senator Bola Tinubu, as front- line leaders, openly asked its elected members of the House of Representatives, mostly from the South-West, to work against their region and back Tambuwal from North-West.
The opposition party’s support carried Tambuwal through the contest against Akande, then ruling party’s favourite for the speakership seat.
In his book, Chief Akande revealed that former president then as incumbent, personally reached out to Tinubu, who is now believed to be nursing presidential aspiration in 2023 and himself, but couldn’t convince them.
He wrote, “President Jonathan, immediately after the meeting (with political parties), called Bola Tinubu aside into a lobby to broach the matter of ACN support for a choice of who would become the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
“That same day, President Jonathan talked to me on phone about the same matter. He disclosed that PDP had zoned the position to the South-West but that only one Muraina and another Mulika won elections on PDP ticket from the zone into the House of Representatives.

Morenikej1: The United Kingdom leaders don't last lately, what's happening?
Democracy is happening, the type we lack here such that our lawmakers are standing on Tinubu's mandate to rubber stamp his request for loans etc.
Is that not why we are praying and fasting to japa to cold, racist oyinbo countries of colonialists, who some still blame for under-developing our continent
What works are you doing to make our country's democracy as strong, if not stronger than that of the UK?
anonimi: The migrant crisis in Libya and the Nigeria experience
JUNE 24, 2019
The drive for survival and for greener pastures has continued to force millions of West African young men and women to gamble with death in attempts to cross over to Europe and other parts of the world. This quest to escape poverty, hunger, unemployment and insecurity, among other reasons, caused a major segment of Nigeria’s population to seek alternatives for better livelihood prospects for themselves and their families.
Those seeking economic survival see irregular migration as the best alternative, given the difficulty and resources involved in migrating through regular and legitimate routes. In many instances, very few of the original number who set out on these dangerous journeys live to tell their stories. While many regularly drown in the Mediterranean Sea, many also die in the deserts, and others are sold as slaves in a modern slave market.
Most of the victims of this trade are from West Africa. Many of them leave home with expectations of getting to Europe and other destinations perceived to have better economic prospects for them, but they end up in the slave merchant nets in North Africa. The victims are put in camps and sold in open markets in Libya, while the international community watches in silence. The geographical location of Libya renders it a transit route for migrants journeying to Italy and many other parts of Europe.
Amovingman: Peter Obi and his supporter will not be happy about it
Tinubu and his supporters should be more worried about the example being set by oyinbo people who collect our stolen money and give us refuge in their cities where water flows to homes instead of drinking water from shitty boreholes in Nigeria.
The example of getting rid of nonperforming leaders who fail to do what they say.
Afrojuju2017: Oga it's terribly unfair to suggest corruption and looting at the federal level is higher in 2023 than ever, what we have is higher level of public scrutiny and public engagement, prior to January 2012 occupy Nigeria protest 99.5% of Nigerians had never heard the words fuel subsidy, they weren't aware that billions was being stolen by NNPC, fuel importers and all sorts of individuals in the sector,
Prior to 2017/18 WAEC couldn't account for the fees paid by students to undertake examination, when Buhari adminstration attempted to audit the previous 10 years under PDP an administrator in the NC office claimed a "snake had swallowed the money"
Under Buhari and leading into this Tinubu adminstration the customs service now remits funds into the consolidated accounts, it was only in recent years that we have started implementing the TSA in a handful of government departments even though it came into law under GEJ, and it was only in the last year that this Tinubu adminstration had the balls to challenge the lack of audit of NNPC all through the PDP year and as far back as the military era CBN as not submitted an audited report as mandated by law to the senate oversight committee.
Shall I continue to list the number of incidents of blatant robberies Nigerians were subjected to that we are only just becoming sensitized to.
It now our collective duty to keep track of our common public purse, insist on accountability and apply appropriate but reasonable pressure.
Must I also denounce strongly this false narrative this administration has incurredore debt when the opposite is the reality, the Buhari adminstration , and CBN under Emefiele engaged in financial fraud writing off FG debt but failing to declare said debt, monies were borrowed and government bonds issued fraudulently without them being reflected, it was when Tinubu got into government that JP Morgan came clean to let us know that contrary to what Emefiele said about the country being in the green we had gone past red and on the brink of being insolvent add to this the currency devaluation is what has influenced the numbers you see.
But I'm glad because now we can say with confidence we know our situation and if honest and diligent can orchestrate how to dig ourselves out of this great big hole.
Ọpọ ọrọ irọ ni ó kún inú rẹ.
Why is Tinubu, Buhari and APC borrowing more than PDP presidents, even though the economy is sinking with high unemployment, hyperinflation, low productivity etc leading to more insecurity from idle people?
What other reason apart from worse corruption by the pretentious politicians of Oshiomole’s Assembly of Past Criminals, APC?
socialmediaman: The 2018 Rating by Transparency International placed Nigeria at 148th position out of 180 countries. Nigeria was improving over the years under the previous government, until Buhari got elected as president, things became worse.
There is a difference between fact and fiction. We need to face facts, Buhari is worse than GEJ when it comes to fighting corruption, at least that’s what the facts prove.
Most of us believed there was corruption under Goodluck Jonathan’s Government. I agree with those who did, there was corruption, but not as bad as it is today under Mohammadu Buhari.
In 2012, Nigeria was placed at 139th position, In 2014, Nigeria gained 3 steps and was placed at 136th position. Under Buhari, Nigeria has lost many positions down to 148th.
There’s no further proof needed that corruption has worsened under Buhari’s government compared to previous years.
chisomkachy: The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has withdrawn the alleged money laundering suit it filed at the Federal High Court against Lagos Speaker Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa.
Naija News understands that the anti-graft did not give any particular reason for its application for withdrawal.
Following the application to withdraw, Justice Nicholas Oweibo discharged the ‘lien/Post No Debit’ placed on Obasa’s three accounts in Standard Chartered Bank.
The accounts are (US Dollars) 0001852063; (Current) 0001852056 and (Saving) 5002309624.
The judge also set aside the ex-parte orders he made on September 15, 2020, which led to the freezing of the accounts.
Recall that the court on September 15, 2020, granted an interim order freezing Obasa’s accounts following the EFCC’s application in a suit marked FHC/LCS/1064/2020.
The agency had said it was investigating the Speaker for the alleged offences of conspiracy, diversion of funds, abuse of office and money laundering.
But Justice Oweibo, on August 16, 2023, heard the application to unfreeze the accounts in his chamber.
During the hearing, the EFCC was represented by Mr. Sulaiman I. Sulaiman, while Obasa was represented by Mr. Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika (SAN).
The EFCC lawyer told the court that the application to unfreeze the accounts was pursuant to Section 44(2)(K) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and Sections 26, 29 and 34 (1) of the EFCC (Establishment) Act, 2004, and under the court’s inherent jurisdiction.
Section 44 of the Constitution concerns constitutional rights to property.
Justice Oweibo held: “It is hereby ordered that an order is hereby granted to the respondent/applicant setting aside the ex-parte orders of this court made on the 15th day of September 2020 upon the ex-parte motion of the Applicant/ Respondent in relation the funds of the Respondent/Applicant domiciled in the accounts stated in the following schedule:
“ACCOUNT NAME, FINANCIAL ACCOUNT INSTITUTIONS, TYPE OF ACCOUNT, 1. Mudasiru Ajayi Obasa, Standard Chartered, (US Dollars) 0001852063 2. Mudasiru Ajayi Obasa, Standard Chartered (Current) 0001852056 3. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, Standard Chartered (Saving) 5002309624.
“Issued at Lagos, under the seal of this Honourable Court and by the hands of the Presiding Judge this 16th day of August 2023.”
DomPerignon: The flogging Kwankwasso got in Kano's bye-elections no be here. And the reason is very clear . Kano people rejected PORK because of Peter Obi and his Zionist IPOB followers masquerading as Obidients.
The northern NDC that is under Kwankwaso performed so badly in the Kano bye-elections for Federal Rep that was carried out across several LGAs in Kano.
This is a declaration of rejection of PORK and the reason remains because Peter Obi is not in anyway liked in the north and can never be repackaged as was the case in the south in 2023. Northerners don't talk too much and don't have time for social media rants. They have long memories that serve them well and they used their long held position on Obi being a sectarian and tribal bigot to reject him. Obi even added fuel to the dumpster fire that is PORK by coming out just a week ago to demand for Kano's release claiming he is innocent. Northerners did not respond to him in Social media. They don't have time for too much turanchi. They act and they have done so in the last Kano bye-elections by rejecting Kwankwasso's hand picked candidate. Kano people have sent a message to kwankwaso that they are not in anyway interested in any PORK . If Kano which is Kwankwasso's stronghold can have his Kwankwassai reject him, what does that spell for PORK across the core north were Kwankwasso's influence is next to zero?
Kwankwaso had planned to use the NDC to get his loyalists into position ahead of 2031 but his biggest mistake was to agree to run under Peter Obi.
Now that gamble has failed with Kano rejecting Kwankwasso's chosen candidate. I see Kwankwasso decamping from NDC anytime soon and returning to APC or joining PRP.
Obi will be searching for a new northern Muslim candidate from the north and he might have to settle for Tanko because I don't see any northern Muslim candidate agreeing to run alongside Obi. Datti should have been an option but that bridge has since been burned .
How did Kwankwaso and NDC lose in the Kano elections they did not participate in, for strategic reasons
HIGHESTPOPORI: Because you guys want statos quo to remain in Nigeria for your selfish beenefits
No one wants the status quo to remain than the chochocho propagandist liar of a hypocrite called Obi.
bennybuhari: “’I cannot take anything back about Obi. I said Obi said he wants to move Nigeria back from consumption to production and I said that is not true. He cannot do it because his own business survives on consumption. Is that a lie? He has been an importer and I said he deals with cash and carry economics; container economics, imports”.
“All the goods that can be produced in Nigeria, Obi imports them in his supermarkets. That is consumption economics. That kind of person cannot tell you that he is moving you from consumption to production. He will then be committing self-economic suicide and Obi will not do that to himself”.
“So, Obi is deceiving everybody and I can’t take that back because that is true.
Madmohamed1: Peter obi is a billionaire lose or win can not change anything about him. The man is trying to help people like you who are in bandage.

NLCreator: Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections, has defended the purchase of sports utility vehicles (SUVs) for members of the national assembly.
There have been reports that the leadership of the 10th national assembly has bought SUVs for all lawmakers.
Each SUV is said to be valued at N160 million.
The LP had asked members of the party in the national assembly to kick against “wastage”.
While responding to questions during a press conference in Abuja on Monday, the former governor of Anambra said the SUVs are not personal cars of the lawmakers, noting that they are for official use.
“Let me start with the issue of Labour Party members in the house. I have actually discussed this issue with them,” Obi said.
“Surprisingly, I can tell you I heard that these vehicles are official cars. They have to use it. It is meant for office.
“So it is not as if it is their vehicle. They said it is official cars and you are meant to use it while you are in the senate.”
Obi also hinted at contesting for the country’s number one position in 2027, adding that Nigeria deserves dedicated and visionary leaders who will lead the country towards a brighter future.
That same year hundreds of children were kidnapped in Chibok.
Today aviation is stronger but Nigerian security is still thesame
Is our insecurity the same? Or is it worse since we allowed Tinubu drag Buhari out of retirement to make Jonathan a one term president?
How did we allow the master strategist of politics but clueless balablu bulaba in governance scam us to vote for his 2011 expired CPC candidate, four years later?

Saturnalia: The Country “Malaysia” hosted an International War Tribunal (KLWCC) established in 2007, tried & indicted George w. Bush & Tony Blair in absentia in “2011” for the unlawful invasion of Iraq. To get back at Malaysia for daring to challenge the status quo, the Amerikan CIA in collaboration with the British MI6 - hijacked the Malaysian Flight MH-370 and flew it to an Island called “Diego Garcia” and then killed all the passengers on board. The most annoying part is that the Amerikan Government was the first to join the search rescue team when the Aircraft was declared missing. If you're looking for the most poisonous snakes in the world, do not bother to look in the forest or amazon, just go to Washington DC. That was not enough!
The CIA in collaboration with the Ukrainian SBU shot down another Malaysian Flight MH-17 over the Ukranian Airspace and then blamed it on Mother Russia.
Afrojuju2017: There has never been a time that Nigeria had less unemployment than we have today, more than 60% of Nigerians across the country work in informal employment, an even higher number estimated at over 80% are functionally underemployed and lack a consistent defined earnings.
Less than 30% pay into a PAYE, insurance fund or pension fund.
Please let go of this grand nostalgia, what we had in between the 1999 and 2015 and even up till 2023 was a false reality that was dependent on corrupt money washing down in tid bits.
Nigerians now have the opportunity to rewrite their story along a path that can lead to collective growth but that path is full of thorns and nestles but it's a path we must cross every other nation we look up to crossed that path, the Americans, china Malaysia Singapore.
We can't keep living a lie of subsidy and market disparity.
So why is corruption and looting more prevalent now than when we had cheap petrol and cheap dollars with low unemployment and high productivity?
Why is Tinubu borrowing more than previous presidents despite billions of dollars savings from subsidy removal?
The Federal Government says it has no intention to borrow from any local or foreign organisation with its removal of subsidy on petrol and exchange rate harmonisation.
The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Chief Wale Edun, revealed this at the end of the inaugural Federal Executive Council meeting on Monday in Abuja.
He said that the benefit of the subsidy removal would be ploughed back into various sectors aimed at boosting government revenue and improving the business environment for local and foreign investment.
Edun said that with the increased revenue from subsidy removal, various palliatives have been made available to cushion its effect on a short, medium and long-term basis.
He reiterated the President Bola Tinubu-led administration’s desire to bring back the economy from the wood it has found itself over time.
ogolemati: make everyone relax make that snatcher grabber and ran away criminal win next election, dollar will hit 2500 and above
Now that he has given us adequate electricity, will you vote for him, even though he is yet to crash petrol price as promised in January 2023 when it was N185
Deltafirstson: Although the pump price of fuel was N197 when President Bola Tinubu took over on May 29, 2023, the product now sells for N617 per litre – less than two months after.
In his inaugural address, Tinubu announced that subsidy was gone, fulfilling a promise that all leading presidential candidates made during the campaign.
Nigerians have been lamenting the hardship occasioned by fuel price hike. Amid the lamentation, a video where Tinubu campaigned to slash the price of fuel went into circulation.
Checks by Daily Trust affirmed the authenticity of the video uploaded on the YouTube page of Channels Television.
At his campaign rally in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, on January 25, 2023, Tinubu spoke on a number of issues, but those of fuel scarcity and naira redesign made the headlines.
However, Tinubu who spoke in Yoruba language, also assured the crowd that though people were saying petrol price would hit N200, it would be reviewed downward under him.
“The great Nigerian youths, the great Nigerian students, the confident Nigerian youths. This is a revolution. This election is a revolution. They are plotting, but they will fail. They said fuel price will increase and reach N200 per litre. Go and relax, we will bring it down,” he had said in the 7th minute of the video.
tommy589: There are more stinkilng rich people now than anytime in the history of this country. It is just the poor that's getting the short end of the stick. The poor Nigerians that I knew way back eats well, until the 80s when poverty pro max started. This widespread poverty and lack of expansion of infrastructure like running water is the result of massive corruption.
I limit expectations and don't expect dividends of democracy from any of these politicians, when it is a known fact that money changed hands before majority of present day politicians achieved victory.
You have summarised our extreme poverty journey very well sir.
The saddest part of all this is how our leaders looters take the money abroad to make oyinbo countries even better than ours. Money that provides jobs in oyinbo countries to make pipe borne water available to all homes, among other basic government services and utilities.
How can we work our way out of this quagmire conundrum
thewinning101: PANDORA PAPERS: Buhari visited Tinubu in corruption-tainted London villa acquired by Oyetola
Governor Oyetola, a relative of Mr Tinubu, may have sabotaged his own country by buying the exotic property as Nigeria made to seize it.
ByNicholas IbekweandTaiwo-Hassan Adebayo October 7, 2021 in Headline Stories, Pandora Papers Reading Time: 8 mins read
It was a meeting of two of Nigeria’s most influential politicians in London – President Muhammadu Buhari was visiting political kingmaker and senior member of his ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.
In July, the presidency announced that Mr Buhari was heading to London for an education summit. The office also added that the president would also see his doctors for “medical check-up”.
Coincidentally, Mr Tinubu, who had travelled to London earlier, was also receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment in the British capital. So, a perfect setting for both men to meet was created.
Openyamind111: Lastly, as for unemployment. How many jobs do we have that we all want to be employed into in this country? This is the reality of Nigeria. Going to higher institution of learning is not enough. While you’re school, you should be engaging in order skill development engagement..
if we don’t learn new ideas and innovation how do we intend to survive when starting up businesses even require capital. We must learn to create possibilities ( possible ways of surviving and making fortunes) for ourselves. If you don’t have Job now be sure that you’re engaging in learning ideas now. If you’re wondering to what to learn. Go and learn installation of solar panel or CCTV. Solar is the future of anything that has to do with power. Meaning that in nearest future every household will be making use of solar. Think of other things that you know that can give you the future that you deserve. Don’t wait for anyone nor the government. Peace
How can you make money from self employment if local, state and federal government officials are stealing the commonwealth that should employ civil servants to make public utilities and services available for everyone?
How can you make money from self employment when leaders looters are stealing what should provide basic infrastructure to facilitate life for all?
If oyinbo people allow their own leaders to steal anyhow by focusing only on self employment instead of expecting government jobs, why would we be attracted to their cold, racist countries
Afrojuju2017: The minimum wage was also 3000 naira if I recollect so what exactly was so glamorous about it if one must subject it to reason. Petrol has never been cheap Nigerians just didn't pay the true price at the pumps you paid for it in underdevelopment in all other facets of public life.
There was also flippant armed robbery, although kidnapping outside of some incidents along the SE corridor was non existent.
That was the minimum wage before 1999.
By 2015, it had risen to N18,000 that could buy much more than N70,000 today. We also had less unemployment, which means that the people in jobs didn’t have to share their income with their jobless relatives and friends.
Openyamind111: Mobile phones (GSM) was introduced sometimes after year 2,000 except those that were using Turaya and not everyone can afford it then. yes there was Pipe borne water and free education as you've mentioned but don’t forget that before lots of student would go to school back then they would have to hawk one or two items to sell or even after school,
let me remind you, nearly all family usually have small or big farm that they are engaging back then.. and some will have to go farm first before thinking of going to school and that was why food production was sufficient back then except if you reside in Lagos or some other cities.. do we still do the family farming as much as it was in the 90s? Life was good but there were other things missing which the new generation are enjoying like the technology advancement. If you attended higher institution then you would know what it means to get your Medicaid done or if you have to borrow materials from the school Library. With the use of internet and AI you now have all information at your palm.. even in the 70s when they said Nigeria was better. They were also suffering and majorly of Nigerians back then are living primitively. Like I said earlier things will never be the same.. we should be sure that we don’t stop evolving.
Was unemployment as high as it is today since All Promises Cancelled, APC came into power chanting change but delivering shege?
Shege of extreme poverty and insecurity, enhanced by worsening corruption.
Racoon: Festus Keyamo Defends Tinubu From Drug Trafficking, Says Tinubu Mistakenly Shared Flats With Drug Lords
The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr Festus Keyamo, has distanced the All Progressive Congress presidential candidata, Bola Tinubu, from being a drug baron who was involved in the traffic of narcotics in the United States.
Keyamo, who also doubles as APC Presidential Campaign spokesperson, noted that the former governor of Lagos State only shared a block of flat with drug barons about 30 years ago in the US.
His reaction is coming following documents of a Chicago District Court indicting and convicting Tinubu of drug dealings and money laundering in 1993.
The document which emerged online two days ago, described APC standard-bearer as a drug baron, adding that Tinubu entered a plea bargain, leading to the forfeiture of his assets to US authorities in 1993
It was also pointed out that Tinubu forfeited the sum of $460, 000 dollars in his bank account at First Heritage Bank to the US government.
Speaking on Wednesday on Channels TV, Mr Keyamo dismissed such claims, insisting that Tinubu was linked to drug peddlers who were his neighbours.
He said: “What happened was that Tinubu went to open an account. The address which he used in opening the account was the address used by these people. I think some blocks of flats. Maybe, he was happy to be in that block of flats too.
“So, they now link it that the other people they were investigating for narcotics are in the same address used by Asiwaju to open that account.’’
jogojogo: The good people of Nigeria love the president and are standing with him. No one listen to the noise makers
That’s so true about his Stockholm Syndrome strategy for keeping Lagosians under control since 1999, as he impoverishes the people. A strategy that has been elevated to the entire country since 2023 for widespread loyalty by greedy politicians and impoverished people.
anonimi: The eyesore on Bourdillon Road 2nd January 2025
Beyond his neighbours, there is something about the sight of people hanging around a president’s residence that does not speak well of his leadership capabilities. Maybe no one has nudged him to see it, but the impression that spectacle on Bourdillon Road generates is that Tinubu enjoys the sight of suffering humans and thrives in—and through— their poverty.
If all these years, impoverished people hang around you and you remain comfortable enough to keep them just so they can be handed tokens of your large heart, then it means you have a pro-poverty mindset. Such a frame of mind is oriented toward cultivating poverty rather than stimulating abundance.
That is why he could unproblematically relate the story of his “friend” who went from using five Rolls Royce to a far-less valued car and not consider the import of the nonsense he was saying. That spurious account was an indication that this is a man for whom poverty—of others, not himself—is an ideal.
Amotolongbo: Hate Tinubu, the fact still remains that indigenous business men are making it big under him. I’m sure if this continues, the effect will trickle down.
Like the effects have trickled down in Lagos state for the past 27 years of increasing tax burden on people to grow budget 100 times without employing workers to make ordinary water available to all households?
Abi what renewed hopelessness trickle down effect are you talking about please
Openyamind111: You spoilt everything by mentioning Tinubu.. truly gone are good days when there was nothing like ethnicity and religious differences like this. There was but not as much as it is now.. you said everything became worse when Tinubu when to Kaduna. But you’ve forgotten the the POOR MAN PRAYER back in the days “God Dey” and the general saying back then “Nigeria go better” even though there was less to be worried about back then life wasn’t easy for an average individual.. how many houses had Telephone or Television let alone of having a car.
You see, this is reality of life.. things will never remain the same and that’s why as individuals you shouldn’t be stagnant. As much as you can make sure you’re evolving..
Telephone became widely available after the sector was deregulated over a quarter century ago, not so?
Was public transportation better then, making it easier to move around and about?
By the way, why don’t you consider the availability of pipe borne water and free education for all children as signs that life was better and easier back then?
Instead of sponsoring girls to tertiary schools, wisemen are advocating for their local government councillors and chairmen as well as their state lawmakers and governors to prioritise the commonwealth to employ enough well paid professional teachers for the free education of all children.
That’s how the girls’ parents will be able to afford to pay for their tertiary education.
The guy get mind o. To find money pay bride price for this Tinubu and APC economy no be small thing o.
