praxs: [s]Even though I am single, I have this distant believe that success is achieved more with a partner. Sometimes, family motivates you to achieve more, dig deeper. The fear of failure when having a family will make you more smarter when it comes to making choices, thus....... When I am married, I will know better. But just my thought[/s] |

KoiceReloaded: The Art of Self Defence
It's ironic that my second film of the day is much more tarantino-esque than Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. It's everything you would expect of a Tarantino film... brutally violent, hilarious, smartly written, cheesy dialogue, and action scenes that are completely bananas. It's written and directed by another guy, though.
Overall, it's a scintillating satire about martial arts that covers the themes of toxic masculinity, self-confidence and violence. What an experience. Jesse Eisenberg is criminally underrated as an actor.
8.3/10 D.C has a knack for hiring talent. |

mekaprime: Men in Black: International..4/10 Genre:Action, Adventure, Comedy
This was certainly the black sheep of the Men In Black franchise. The storyline was just there & was crammed with lots of plot holes, execution was basically messy. All in, the flick was very forgettable, it was as though a Neuralyzer was used on me, cause i can't remember nothing. The bold can be said for anything Marvel. |

KoiceReloaded: Doom Patrol is dope. It's easily the best superhero tv show I have seen this year. Will tackle The Boys this evening. Can you say that for any Marvel show? Guess not! |

I pity anyone that'll be deceived by the 1 billion dollar B.O figures they keep posting. Nothing good can come out of that place. Nothing! |

pryme: Constantine: City of Demons (Animation) - 9.9/10
Dark, Dense, Gory, Adult Content, Unpredictable ending. God help me if this was real live movie, I would have made my peace with God before sleeping every night.
The message is broad, from people giving up their soul for fame to the power of love.
The way Constantine flirts with demons he makes The Ghost Rider look like a janitor.
DC animation always delivers.

TheKingIsHere: So you want them to make noise for a movie that is coming out much more later? You don start again abi? Bros, you know how this works. Of course, I don't expect the studio to say anything yet. But, blogs, news website would have had one or two info from gossips, interviews, comic con, tidbits etc. |

TheKingIsHere: Exactly. People now know and love shazam as a character and that is the motive. It also brought profit (even though small) but at all at all na profit for a character that is unknown. These synder fans think we are phased by the BO of the MCU meanwhile, they are the ones being carried away with the BO of the MCU.
All i want is good movies and for the company to make profit so that they can continue to make good movies for the fans. News on Shazam 2 has been quite scanty truth be told. If WB chickens out on this one...ama kill somebody. |

I might be wrong, but I feel most successful directors in Hollywood can be classified into 3; The ones that make highly rated, artistic, poetic, Oscar bait films that are continually lauded by critics: Dennis Villeneuve, Barry Jenkins, Steve Mcqueen, Wes Anderson, Quentin Tarantino, Martin Scorsese etc The other ones make highly budgeted pop-corn flicks and crowd-pleasers; huge advertising budgets that are sure box office winners for the studios/distributors: (Reviews don't matter) Jon Favreau, Justin Lin, Mel Gibson, James Wan, Michael Bay etc The third group make films that lit up the box office, impress critics and take up silverware on Oscar night Though the catch is that they're very few. Saw 5 minutes of inception while having dinner and concluded that Nolan is a rare breed that belongs to the third category. Same "Inception" was nominated for 8 Oscar awards and went on to win 4-after having made over 800 million on a 160 mill budget. Skip over the bat films right down to "Interstellar":700 mill on 160 mill budget, nominated for 5 Oscars and won one. Then comes "Dunkirk" in 2017; 577 mill on a 150 mill. Same was nominated for 8 Oscars and won 3. At this point in Nolan's career, dude can command a 350 mill dollars budget for a film: no questions asked. Which begs the question: What's he doing that other aren't? What makes him so special? Is it possible to impress both sides of the spectrum (Audiences and critics alike)? What other directors belong in the same category as Nolan?I'd say Steven Spielberg; check out Jurassic Park, E.T, Jaws, Saving Private Ryan and then we can talk. Pardon my writing... |

FFH is now the first spider man film to gross $1 billion at the box office.
Marvel is now the 2nd studio after universal to produce 3 movies that grossed at least a billion dollars at the box office in a year.
Special shoutout to IAmSabrina/XxSabrinaxX Congrats to Sony/Colombia pictures as they get to reap all the profits.
