Disney acquisition of Fox is strategic. 21 Century fox and it's subsidiaries provide Disney the avenue to corner the mature audience. The bulk of fox's content will remain Rated-R, but cost of production is expected to take an upward curve. In other words, Disney is about to monopolize the movie market.

Sony isn't doing so good. Only their lucrative music and gaming industry are keeping their revenue on the green atm. It won't surprise me one bit if Disney or AT&T comes calling one of these days.

Universal is owned by Comcast which is another media titan, albeit has the bulk of it's interest in other markets, particularly the news, and cable TV.

Paramount is owned by Viacom, a multibillionaire company that is vying with Comcast for supremacy in the news market. Don't think they will sell their only pipeline to the Hollywood market. But who the hell knows? Crazier things have happened.
