Try and do the TB test if you can get a date before the trip. If not, be careful how you answer that question on arrival

No, attend to it. Send any documents they want you to send and wait for your visa approval.

Has she done change of name yet because she will need to provide all the documents around that if she's going with your surname.
If she's using her maiden name then you will need marriage certificate for that. She needs to decide what she wants to use and provide necessary documents to back it.

Please for a newly wedded couple, which the MA is the wife and has all her documents in her father’s name.

When filling the VISA form, she filled the name on her credentials and at the next page there’s a chance to add additional name, in which she wants to put the husband’s name as her new surname.

The question is this advisable, or she should just stick with the name on her credentials and don’t add any additional name.

And if she’s to add additional, is she required to attach newspaper publications + change of name affividavit.

Same issue I have, we did biometrics 23 Aug and my daughter's application hasn't moved. I did a paid call and email yesterday, the lady I spoke to said No News is Good News and I should keep waiting. By 13 Sep, it's due for escalation so I should reach out if I haven't gotten it.

Please house under the TLS service website I am seeing priority visa service which they put at 250GBP. I did select a standard visa during my UKVI application.

Furthermore the services of a priority visa interest me I must say since I am racing against time, my questions is if I select the priority visa service will I pay the full 250 pounds in adding with the 475 USD I paid for my visa ?

No argument here just they are minors. If you are to fill a US application and they ask for social media account does it mean you must create one for them if they don't have?! In the right sense how can a 6 year old have an email address?!

I did biometrics with my family on August 23, 3 out of 4 visa is out and I just got a notification to pick up our passports.

How long will it take for the last passport to come out? Should I go ahead and do paid email/call or just wait?

* TB certificate (forgot to upload it, so they sent an email and I replied with it)

* Travel history (I took pictures of my old passport with Visas attached and stamps of entry and exit to different countries)

Note that I strictly followed the list they gave for each applicant. Yours might be different.

You will need an email to login to each child's profile. For me, I decided to create new emails to avoid any confusion. New email is free ooo and you don't end up with any mix up. The email for approval came into the new emails I set up and I plan to even hand over the email address to my kids when they're old enough to manage it

They are your kids and you don’t need to open a new Gmail account for them. You can always use your Gmail account for the application.

I opened new email address for my kids. Paid for flexi so you can walk in at any time for the biometrics and get it done on the same day for both.

I got an email from them at 7:34am today. Visa approved for 3 out of 4. I've not gotten the email to pick up though. Hoping the last visa and pick up emails come in this week

Carry your passport and all documents, no questions. Go the time they gave you ooo, they might not attend to you if you get there in the morning for an afternoon appointment

Just use AI generate letter, then try to personalize it too. That's what I did and my son's visa is out, waiting for my daughter's own

Yes, they will notify you when you can come get it and you go there to pick up. Apart from priority, I don't think anything else is worth paying for.

Premium lounge is just space to sit, finish. Nothing else. If you want your passport to be couriered, then you need to pay for that separately.
My advice is if you're using VI, you don't need the lounge cos there's no queue.

I intend to subscribe to the premium lounge since I'm in a hurry.

Will I experience a courier return of my passport after a decision made by UKVI on the premium lounge service or will I still need to add a courier return to my order?

And secondly, I intend to self-upload my documents and hope am on the right track.

Do paid call or email, I hear visa officers might be slow so paid call or email could help get some quick feedback from them

Check the start date and end date you used for your partner. Check travel date you entered too. Your partner shouldn't pay less, maybe get a third eyes to help you check.

Hi Everyone,

Please on Wednesday, I paid 923 dollars for IHS. Applying for my partner today, it brought out 615dollars.

We have checked all the details to be sure there was no mistake somewhere, we have even recompleted again and it is still saying 615dollars.

We don’t know what is causing it?

They asked my partner when my visa will expire. I don’t have a visa yet. So, he used the end date of my course.

The SLA for priority is 5 days I believe so you can do paid call and/or email by Monday next week if it doesn't show today. Be sure to check your junk emails too.

In my marriage certificate, my occupation is Tutoring(which is actually the truth) but I am considering using another company for reference and employment to proof the study gap I have because my place of work is not showing "Active" on the CAC website.

Though, I am not going with my wife now but she will join me around Oct/Nov this year. My question is should I use my current place of work as reference even though its status on CAC is Inactive or should I look for another company(in this case, not school) that will do reference and employment letter for me?

If you're proposing the second option, it'll contradict what is on my marriage certificate. Does this matter or not? And am I even going to upload my marriage certificate with my documents??

Lastly, is it advisable to make photocopies of all documents before going for biometrics or go with originals and scan it there?

As the main applicant, I already submitted my application using the school’s address. I have paid the visa fee too and I can’t edit.

I'll say use the same address to be consistent but most schools don't have accommodation for family so it's best to think through it properly before putting an address that would give you issues in the during the visa processing.

You can even still stay in the school accommodation but your family would clearly need a different address. So best to say you don't have an accommodation yet for them and when you get to the point of explaining, say they will start off in airbnb or if you have relatives, maybe you can use their address.

I think you should just state you are still working on accommodation. For my own application, I stated that I would use airbnb for the first one month which would give adequate time to find a great accommodation for the duration of study.

I had to find a platform to post my dilemma on this Visa issue and see if I can get any advice

I applied since 12th July 2023(biometric date) for dependent visa as my husband the main applicant is already in the UK.

Received NSF mail on the 21st of July. This really broke my heart because I was really hoping all will go well. All documents were uploaded accordingly.

Next, after about 14 working days on the 2nd of August I received a mail to provide additional information. I stayed up all night working on this because mails had to be 25mb or less, I was mindful of this.

First escalation was on 9th Aug. Also sent paid mails.
Waited another 15 working days and then my husband and I got student interview mails each on 29 Aug. The interview was for 30th Aug by 8:30am, we both logged in on Microsoft Teams and waited for hours but no interviewer/host showed up.
At this point it’s been almost 40 working days since my application and I am very tired. Depressed doesn’t even come close to the way I feel right now. I feel stuck. Can’t focus on anything, work, life, church. Right now I don’t know why they didn’t show up for the interview, I’ve sent mails again. All they keep doing is apologizing and saying we should wait and awaiting decision.

I don’t know what else to do. Pray? Com’on don’t you think I’ve been doing that? I just need a decision on this application right now so I can know what to do with my life. This is the worst feeling, “confusion in uncertainty”

How long do I need to wait for? And I have never been a fan of long distance relationships not to talk of marriage.

Maybe try paid call instead, and on the call let the person you're speaking to know how long it's taken and plead for them to give a decision so you can get your passport back

Your passport should be ready now. If you have a contact there, disturb them well so they can help you bring out the passport. Alausa is back to status quo, fast tracking is allowed now and agents are helping people get their passports out.

My capture date was May 15, immediately the old PCO left my agent was able to switch my application to fast track and it was out within a week.

Due to declining in payment of IHS for my second child which I successfully paid today, she has been booked for an appointment on Tuesday the following day after ours.

I paid for Flexi for all of us

Will they allow her to do the biometric together with us on Monday?

I believe with Flexi you can go anytime for your biometrics so she can go with you on Monday
