Tried doing this with my school and they pushed back hard. I think the main issue is UKVI can't give a definitive date to deliver the visa. They can't say it will take 1/2/3/4 weeks which is a big problem for applicants. Unfortunately, we don't have strong governance to be able to push back on them.

Wait a minute! Before you consider withdrawal of your visa application, have you tried your best already to inform the school of the visa delay? I believe many UK Universities can still shift ground if you let them see the genuiness of your case. We have read here, stories of people who fought a good fight and eventually got their visas. You too can.

I got an email this morning that there was an error on my daughters visa. We've not picked up the passport yet since it's still on DMC. Has anyone had this issue before now and how long till it gets resolved?

But there are cases the MA cannot travel without the dependants which is my current case.

What I mean is paid calls/emails should be able to give a valid SLA that you can work with especially when you will need to communicate with the school to extend your resumption date.

In my own case, a decision has being made but I've not gotten anything yet. During paid call yesterday, I could hear the hesitation to even give me clear delivery SLA. I've sent an email to the school to request an extension to the resumption date and if they can reach out to UKVI on my behalf.

Paid calls /mails are solely to update the applicant
It has nothing to do with decision making

Escalation helps to flag it up on the systems as an application that is currently delayed

There’s nothing else that can be done using paid mail or calls

If you are the MA and you have gotten your visa prepare to travel, your dependants can arrive later

I just feel these paid calls/email has limited impact on the visa application processing. Even though we will keep making paid calls and email.
I still have one visa pending and I've done paid call and email, they keep saying they've made a decision but I've not gotten any updates on the visa application nor has the tracker moved.
On the paid call today, I kept asking for their SLA so I can inform the school if there's a need to extend my resumption date but they couldn't give a concrete feedback.
I'm sending an email to the school to extend my latest resumption date and also send an email to UKVI if they can.

Some school have latest resumption date and you have to travel before that date. If you don't have a latest resumption date, you have to travel before your resumption date.
You can also ask the school to extend your resumption date and ensure you have the letter at hand as you might be bounced from the airport.

You have to be in UK to do this ooo. Not all schools would be good for your child so you have to go around, pick one if they have space and then fill necessary forms. Except you're putting her in a private school.

Hello @duchess90, this is kind of unrelated to visa applications but I don't know how or if I can apply for school space my 5 year old for this term. School has resumed already and admission applications are for September 2024.

Pls help, filling a dependent visa and when trying to pay for IHS, it brings up a section: You're joining or remaining with this person in the UK. which is asking for "Please enter a valid visa expiration date".

You need to first check your email, spam especially. Check the tracker too. If nothing, then make paid call/email

If MA has gotten his visa then it's likely the dependents. You can also do a paid email/call to follow up.

Don't be nervous. I got similar feedback via email for my daughters application. We have 3 out of 4 successful visa already so I don't see them rejecting the 4th. I also don't see them rejecting yours especially since there's no NSF

I had an interview on 27th August. Few hours later, I was sent a link to pay for IHS as it showed $0.00 after filling the application form.

Payment was made early hours of 29th August and since then no update.

Just waiting and praying now as school resumes in less than two weeks.

follow up on the paid email since there's no extra charges. You can also reach out to your school to reach out to UKVI on your behalf.

My Sist did her Bio since August 10 and her Husband did his August 14, she’s the main Applicant. They got empty NSF, she got empty NSF twice, the 2nd was after a paid call on September 8. We’ve done 2 paid calls now and one escalation mail but still at Dmc. The whole process is draining her and affecting her badly. Any ideas here on what to do, will appreciate. Blessings all

No, let her use her maiden name. My wife used her maiden name and her visa don show so maiden name isn't an issue.

Good morning good people of this forum. My partner and I recently got married, she has done her change of name. Is it advisable for her to change the name on her bank account before she starts her POF? the name on her passport is her maiden name though.

The name on her passport carries more weight at this point. As the passport is her means of identification. She can use your own bank statement as her sponsor so she just sticks with her maiden name.

What I would like to know now is if it makes sense if the name on her bank statement(my surname) is different from the name on her passport (her former surname). I guess you are the MA, if yes then your wife won't delay your application. For standard application, the SLA is 15 working days. You can do paid email/call if you feel your application isn't moving.

During my Visa application, I filled that myself and my wife will be traveling together. I did my biometric on 1st of September while my wife biometric is this Friday 15th September.
My application has stuck at DMC since 4th. No nsf, no message.

Please, could my wife biometric delayed be responsible for this?

You can get the school to write UKVI. Contact your school about the delay and ask if they can reach out to UKVI about it and possibly give you an extension on your latest date of resumption.

If you check properly on that page they explained it. You can only pick the ones with arrow for priority.

Put everything in one document and convert to pdf. You can use word or PowerPoint, add the wedding certificate, NIN, drivers license, pictures, bank statements screenshots etc. then convert to pdf and send to them

You should have gotten the pickup email. I'll say check your spam and if you don't get it this week, go for pickup next week and include the one they didn't send the pickup email so they can check and give you feedback.

Plan to leave a week before your latest start date, but I'm hopeful they will come back to you before then

what i did was to create a document and added the following to it
* marriage certificate
* NIN slips for both of us
* Her Branch MFB statement screenshot that shows our current address
* 12 pictures (dating, after marriage, child dedication and covid lockdown pictures)
She was granted visa.

Someone told me that it takes up to 10 days to get collection mail.

I would suggest you try and personalize the consent letter. The additional document to provide is your TB test certificate. Please don't go and provide documents they didn't ask for, just focus on the ones they asked for.
