Are you aware that in today's Nigeria, a plate of food in the least fancied restaurant is ₦1,500, which I confirmed yesterday after eating?
Let's say you don't have and you want to do 101. It means you will be eating twice daily, amounting to ₦3,000 per day multiplied by 30 days. It will cost a common man ₦90,000 on food, and this is when you are not even eating an adequate diet in today's Nigeria, while our minimum wage is ₦70,000.
If, maybe, you are the type who doesn't like to eat restaurant food, you can choose to cook. But in today's Nigeria again, for you to cook a less delicious meal, you must spend at least ₦9,000 on a pot of soup alone. This can be practically estimated as follows: a cup of egusi (melon) = ₦800, cow meat (15 pieces) = ₦3,000, vegetable leaf (pumpkin leaf) = ₦600, pepper = ₦500, seasoning (Maggi) = ₦200, custard of garri = ₦2,500, refilling of gas (1kg) = ₦1,500.
This prepared soup and garri are meant to carry you for 3 days, after which you will still go and sort for another thing to eat again. Now, let's do the math. Let's say in every 3 days, one is spending ₦9,000 on food for the next 30 days. That's 30 days divided by 3, which is 10. Multiply 10 by ₦9,000 and it is still the ₦90,000 that was spent on restaurant food.
Now, the question remains: how are common men in Nigeria surviving with a ₦70,000 minimum wage or even less?
In all this, the government is still posting students for NYSC, where they receive a monthly allowance of ₦77,000 in another person's land. How are they surviving with this?
Can we call a spade a spade and quickly declare Nigeria a state of emergency?
The people are dying because of the current government policy.
The hardship is too much.
Let's make this even clearer to the government by coming out to shout the shout of hunger, so they can understand and see what the people are going through. If you are eating today, there are many who are not eating. If you are surviving, there are many who are dying. It is time we shout the shout of hunger on the street. Don't be ashamed. Let's move together, because Nigeria yesterday was ours, Nigeria today is ours, and Nigeria tomorrow will remain ours!

I truly need help cause have suffered this lower back pain for over 5 years today. At first, when I was going to the teaching hospital, the doctors I met never agreed infection can cause lower back pain. I blindly followed all of their prescriptions of Ibuprofen and Arthrotec for more than 4 years, which I see no result. Recently, that's last year October, November, I had to go do urine culture and sensitive test. Only for me to found out I was having heavy growth of Staphylococcus. I followed the test result, using those medications that were sensitive to it but after three consecutive tests and treatment, I see a little improvement but yet to clear totally. I had to go herbal, but haven't still gotten myself 100% yet. At this point I'm confused and depressed almost everyday cause I'm not having the health I do enjoy years back. I don't know what next to do as it stance.
