pansophist: If none of the kids are Italians or have an Italian residence permit that is permanent, then there is no immigration route through that place for the parents.
Since the UK left the EU, immigration to the UK has been greatly affected, because it means that the UK can now strictly control who enters their country, unlike EU countries where the EU commission designs their immigration law.
So it would have been as easy if the 40-year-old man moved to the UK before Brexit, and would qualify for family reunification through the EU immigration route (Directive 2004/58/EC), which allows dependent adult children to join their parents.
EU countries are bound by the above directive, but not the UK since they left. If you have other families with EU citizenship, then you are a privileged class, moving to Europe becomes very easy and free of charge. Thanks for the response. What about studying for Master's degree in Italy, having stayed 3yrs+ previously in Italy, any advantage? |
@Pansophist, I tried reaching out through mail.
I wanted to ask, a Nigerian above 40 with relatives or Mother in the UK(British Citizen), how can he migrate?
If he has 3years + in Italy as a kid and now wants to go back for a Study program(Master's) in any Institution in Italy, what are the chances or opportunities you can advice?
Thanks in anticipation. |
