The management and staffs of Federal Polytechnic Nekede led by, Rev. Dr. Michael Arimanwa on Friday joined the fight against the dreaded Covid19 pandemic in the state through the donation of an automated and semi automated pedal operational hand washing and sanitizing machine as well as a fully automated solar powered hand washing, drying and sanitizing machine.

Dr. Arimanwa noted that the two hand washing and sanitizing machines which they donated to the government with about 80% local content by the institution from conception, design, to production without external assistance. He solicited the assistance of the state government in the building of a technological entrepreneurship center in the institution.

The Governor of Imo State while receiving the machines, charged them to improve further in their technological innovation by producing a ventilator. He promised that Imo State government will continue to partner with the school, especially in the areas of research, skills acquisition, ICT training and the fight against cultism in the school.
