You call that walking stick gun? The can of guns and ammunition that this daredevils use has never been seen in any sub-saharan African conflicts. Sudan war didn't even witness this not to talk of Libyan crisis. Proliferation of light and medium arms in Nigeria is not a child's play. The level of financial ill gotten rewards that come from elective position since the advent of democracy is one major cause. TechCapon: |
There was a long time ago. In the country of forest, the tress were voting for the axe because the handle came from they village. After the election, there was a massive deforestation by the axe. The goat that warned the tress about the consequence moved on to the country of grassland. So also other. Have you ever thought why a politician without any enterprise becomes stupendously wealthy after he wins an election? A country where politicians are richer than business tycoons, or gurus owing the real ventures like industries, corporations etc Until the 80% begins to vote for credible leaders with proven track record of running a successful business, professionals in different fields that have made their marks even if na teacher, Nurse, Doctors, etc. not this regular politicians that have never worked anywhere apart from NYSC and politics. Make I give example? How I wish our election is in such a way that only people that pay their taxes have a higher points of voting, have some level of education, etc not when you have 1000 idiots and 100 sane person all casting their votes. At the end of the day, the idiots will end up electing an idiot. |
Globad:Check them after the Yuletide, perhaps by February 2026... |
The government of Buhari initiated the erosion of the middle class. Then the icing was Tinubu policies exacerbated the situation. Middle class is gone. The upper class don't go to such place much. Any economy that has up to 70% of the middle class shows a booming economy. |
treesun:Who do they blamed? Are they not the ones that help rig the politicians? |
boysco:What a feeling?! What a nostalgic feeling. Am free really old like this. Remember when we use to dance this beat. Life is beautiful. |
No big deal. It's just a paper. Just like other papers of different faiths. If the 'God' of that paper or any other is strong enough let him fight his fight.. The word of God do not dwell in a paper but in our heart. Love your neighbour as yourself. No word of God ever written is greater than that. For the Texans, that her business afterwards that book is not greater than ordinary General Mathematics by CS Redhill etc or even New Biology by Raven etc, or even Osei Yaw Ababio New Biology. I didn't even mentioned PN Okeke Physics so many books that have made so many impact on humanity. So make we rest, its just a book. Made from chopped wood and ink. |
donmixc:The igbo don't vote because we want to rule. We are only interested in who will turn thing around so that as a hardworking man I can always survive in where I find myself. All we want is a leader with good policies irrespective if where he comes from, even if he sits with nine demons so he's no corrupt. If Nigeria is working for all Nigerians who needs igbo president in 1 million years. |
Election of leaders should be done by voters. Too much and increasing influence of court in determining the winner of an election is bad. The system should always evolved to ensure winners are mot court determined. The less human intervention the better. BVAS, auto and real time transmission of voting to centralised collation portal where everyone can see the trend. |
Authoreety:I'd you take a survey on this subject, you will be amazed how many Nigerians align their thoughts on this. The level of insecurities and government nonchalant and lackadaisical approach is a signal for this call. Do even talk about corruption and rot in all the public institutions. All MDAs saddled with control, overseeing and management of key national interest have turn to or deviated from core vision. Everyone is now chasing revenue, how much one can steal or animal steals. From NAFDAC, to RSC, SON to etc.. The nation needs a reset. The military may not be the beat but one thing is certain, we all won't go mad the same time like what is happening. Do you know it pays to be a criminal, a terrorist etc in current Nigeria. The more destruction you can invoke either on the state, people or key government infrastructure or source of income that is when you can get your own national cake. Who do common man get? Nothing. Subsidy in every sector gone. High taxes. More taxes from 2026. |
All students women, all academic and none academic staff women, pro Chancellor and VC women except the founder. You know what am thinking?! |
Immatex:Aptly explained. I had thought about all these aberrations when the news broke. What I saw was far from what we are used to seeing in Enugu where railway line crisscrosses my neighbourhood, though it is the old gauge not standard as per this one. Insufficient ballasts or in a layman term gravels or stone specially for this purpose, the embankment is not very wide and thick enough which could have led to earth movement, the slippers moving too, same as the whole line. Come to Enugu, if not for theft, most of these railway lines that were built by colonial masters are still in place. |
It's really a pity for the most vulnerable like children, women and the the elderly. This war was uncalled for. The coordinated attack by Hamas on October 7th 2023 was never meant to happen. The history of Golan Heights war was there for Hamas to have allowed the interest of the evil axis of Iran led by the Ali Hosseini Khamenei to push them beyond reason. It's only a tree that you will tell you are coming to chop it down and it will stand so say an old Igbo adage. The Jewish nation is fighting an existential war. For Palestine to live in peace with her brother and neighbour, they must release all hostages living or dead. The Palestinians must reject Hamas and it's brotherhood. This is what all nation should be asking Palestine. But come to think of it, the whole nations of the earth are hypocrites. Was it not in Biafra land that more than three million children die during the civil war on humanitarian grounds? |
AguluLiar:Who told you am complaining. I am only sharing my experience like 14 years ago. During this time everything we do was go to cyber cafe and the newspaper vendor to look for job vacancy. The teaching job was a stopgap. As a father whenever I visit my children during their open days beside pointing out areas of improvement and concern I make sure I show empathy on my side. For the OP truly assertion, I don't encouraged elementary or secondary school teaching job for any young man you can't achieve much and do basic things that one ought to do. Thank God for this era of online teaching opportunities like Google classroom which I once used during my post physical teaching experience to teach engineering drawings for the maintenance team of an organisation in Nigeria. Now we have YouTube, Facebook, etc the teachers can now begin to explore those opportunities. My cousin that move to Canada is paying a whole lot for online class for his kids. |
Yes he was a big time hustler. Along the way he understood the game of government influence to his advantage. Nevertheless, something was clear from the beginning...he truck as we're never a killing machine like now. His drivers were mature men in the past. Something I know for sure is that he don't survival in a competitive sector where monopoly is readily achieved like paste, noodles, beverages, etc |
This is the reality most Nigerian found themselves. It's not funny. I had my own experience. The pay was something else. Burrow me another word for extreme poor. I was taking js1-3 mathematics, ss 1-3 mathematics, physics,. The school management will organise after school lesson to ensure you don't have time to go and hunt for job (not now mobile internet has made everything easy. Then you have to use cyber cafe, Tuesday and Thursday go to news paper vendor) You come late to school, deduction, not wearing the expected colour of clothing deduction, lesson plan and note not up to date deduction. It was crazy. Most of these proprietors and proprietress are wicked. During holidays some will not pay for that month or pay half The salary of last month will always come second week of new month to ensure if you resign no pay for u. |
What can of bomb disposal method is this? Was there a proper safety evaluation: since the environment shows no risk to properties or personnel, they should have a control diffusion from distance instead of jeopardising the life the disposal. He is not kitted. The shield he is wearing is akin to basic workshop face shield for grinding, milling or lathe machines. |
EyeCumInPeace:The coastal highway and the Eko Atlantic sandfilling is the major cause. Most coastal village along the shore and down Niger Delta will go on extinction as time goes. The government failed to undertake the EIA, environmental impact assessment on these two major projects. |
Immatex:This is terrible. A whole year without paying a rent? Not even paying by bit but decided not to pay because I can swear he is eating, him the carry women, him the buy clothes. This is absolute wickedness. One thing is there is a genuine efforts of paying: 2, 3, 6 months but nothing even paying for a year and still awaiting to leave by December. This is a no for me. |
One man one vote. . . . One man one vote.. . . That is the fight. |
OP, Volkswagen generally is a good car. I have one and been driving it for more than 7 years. The major problem is the getting a good hands of mechanical and electrical technicians. The worst part is that it has a complex electric wiring and system that is always difficult to fix because of non knowledgeable technicians. Another issue is parts. Except you are in Lagos, iyano itire. if you travel out of Lagos pray nothing happens. Resale value is very poor. If I advise you, go for Toyota. Technicians common everywhere and parts dey too. |
tuoyoojo:Amen but if the man stole our common wealth to enrich his family, divert what was suppose to go to ordinary farmers, deprived his people of what is due to them, then no piece for him. |
Odobaone:Exactly my thought too. No grandstanding, decisive and straight to point. If there is any political will to fight corruption without delay with a quick closure we would be better off |
Lithiumite:Saying or talking Cho Cho Cho doesn't change anything. Action it. Nigeria does not end with Lekki or Ikeja. Same Lekki with poor drainage and all that? |
Night life economy when there is no security in the day let alone night. No or very poor transport facilities like road, railway for the logistics, tourism etc Even some of us working in Lagos and Ogun State, you have to leave your house around 5pm for a shift that starts 7pm because of insecurity and bad road. Jokes everywhere. |
One thing is certain. No one or even government agencies can indict Obi for stealing or diverting public fund. No one can call any past governor that saves money after his tenure except Obi. No past governor that don't receive pension or one form of entitlement like land, house, cars etc except Obi. If Obi have to betray my beloved Ojukwu for the good of all Nigerians, my children's children then it a sacrifice worth undertaking. The Onoh boy, we all new what his dad did in Enugu. We new how corrupt he was. That is a talk for another day. If we open the can of worms of his dad in former Anambra State state affairs. |
Adaumunocha:You are not FD at from the truth. The coastal road and the land reclamation of the Atlantic Ocean for land use as seen at Eko Atlantic, banana island etc are major cause of these happenings. That is why environmental impact assessment is critically and necessary before embarking on such project. But here, everything is politics, corruption, etc |
LagosOrigin:I can tell you for free, some of the oil from Imo and Abia State are been recorded for Rivers. Was privileged to work in the industry during my early career. Worked around Egbema, Aloji, etc |
kingsways:Colonial track that has been phase out almost all over the world. |
sonssyo:That is the scenario. What more often caused this is when a governor looses an election, the next thing is to employ thousands of workers into the state civil service: state institutions, ministry, department and agencies. The undue process of recruitment has brought this on them. |
No time to listen to gibberish!!! , , , , , This not Nigeria. The man don't want to sleep. Ft or his sanity. |
