Definitely not, he contributed a lot especially in marketing PMB to the south and outside Nigeria but the actual voting stats show that south west had about 2.4m votes for APC and 1.7m+ votes for PDP. The margin is about 700k and even if you remove 700k extra votes from Buhari’s number of votes, he could have still won.

It is important to debunk that speculation that SW made Buhari president, that’s not true.
