Before you come and say "but APC retained all senate seats in Lagos", just know that the fact that APC won all the Senate seats in Lagos even proves how Lagosians were intentional about not voting Tinubu, specifically. They had nothing against other APC contestants. Tinubu was grossly unpopular and we all know GRV would have won the gubernatorial but for voter intimidation and suppression.

Elrufai will not be on the ballot in 2027 but Northerners who ditched their son, Atiku and supported Tinubu due to the influence of Elrufai in 2023 will simply take their votes elsewhere. Betrayals have consequences.
