The National Association of Nigeria Student(NANS), held a close door meeting with the school Management Today. The meeting started at exactly 6:20PM and ended 11:20PM Members present were *Prof Onimawo *Dr Odia *Austin agemelo * Comrade kadiri NANS president (national) *JCC chairmab NANS *okadigbo *NANS president AAU chapter Edwin Okosiole * Gideon ijeh, *John Isaac SUG sec gen, *Gani Akokiah *ifijeh Isaac *Asuelimhen Francis Sossan president *comrade Eron former Naess president and two other professors from Faculty of Engineering While speaking with Thompson Jotham on phone, he said thus: Today's meeting was inconclusive, as the NANS president stood his grounds on the decrement of school fees, despite all urge and pressure that was being mounted on him. Okadigbo speaking on behalf of the mnagement said "the increment of the fee was in favor and building of a greater AAU". He also added that the Vice chancellor in his quest to building a better place, sacrifices needs to made, and he his optimistic that a greater day will come. Meanwhile the NANS president refused to shift grounds saying, Taxes, allocation and government revenue are supposed to be used, not denying the students right of education today, in the guise of giving them a better tomorrow. He added that quite a number of persons, who are in a higher social stratification in Edo state today, benefitted from the free Ambrose Alli Education scheme and as such, he refused to agree to their plight. He therefore tagged the meeting "inconclusive" and he said *NO REDUCTION NO CONVOCATION* Comrade Edwin okoloise(NANS PRESIDENT AAU CHAPTER) |

Another Nigeria student from the Ambrose Alli University,Ekpoma who was a former student of the University of Lagos as also risen to tackle injustice in the Nigeria university. Our correspondent also gathered that He and Adeyeye Olorunfemi has organized an october 1st solidarity march across all universities speaking with Thompson Jotham from Ambrose Alli University on the way to tackle injustice across the ubiversities these were is words Dear Comrades, As the struggle to save Nigerian University system is being pursued, I'll like to salute all our members for their resoluteness in ensuring efforts in the implementatiin of sanity. We believe very strongly that the rot and decay in the University System is not only arrestable but also reversible. We believe even more strongly that, the key to turning round the University System lies in the sincere implementation of the Agreement. What government has so far been doing is no more than a repeat performance of a one-act-play: all the deceptions, propaganda, lies, mischiefs and such other Shenanigans were tried by previous Governments, including Military Juntas, but our resolve to save the University System and our Country remained unwaivered. We will continue to carry the banner of this struggle to its logical conclusion. I urge all my fellow comrade to maintain the spirit of camaraderie and remain firmly resolute in ensuring that our patriotic struggle succeeds. United we stand, divided we fall |

The General Overseer, Deeper Christian Life Ministry
(DCLM), Pastor Williams Folorunsho Kumuyi, has given
insight to how Nigerians could wriggle out of the current
economic downturn in the country.
kumuyi said apart from seeking God’s intervention through
prayers for the nation, Nigerians should shun corruption,
make a habit of doing the right thing always and also delve
into agriculture to ensure food availability and security.
He said Nigerians need God’s help to “turn around the
economic, social, individual, domestic needs and other
hydra – headed problems of the nation,” adding that where
there is no food on the table and enough apparel for the
body, there would be grumbling everywhere.
The General Overseer spoke in Abeokuta, through the DCLM
State Overseer, Pastor Dele Rosilu, while fielding questions
from reporters at a press briefing to herald his planned visit
to MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta, next Friday, for a “turn
around” crusade at the state capital.
Over 50,000 worshippers across the state are expected to
attend the programme.
Rosilu who addressed the press on Kumuyi’s behalf, noted
that Nigerians are not doing enough in agriculture, saying
there are no better time to pour more energy into farming
either on “commercial or part time basis” than this period of
economic recession.
He also made case for more money to be expended on
security of lives and properties of Nigerians by the
governments if that is what it would take to keep enough
manpower on ground amid rising cases of militancy and
kidnappings in parts of the country.
He however, expressed the hope that at this period of
“failures,” God would minister success to the country,
stressing that the church in Nigeria should partner with the
governments, its institutions and agencies to better the lot of
the people.” |

OPEN LETTER TO THE PRESIDENCY Languishing in pain, beat of sorrows, gunshot of wars, words of deceit, music of freedom, eagles of corruption, everyone for himself You gave us your words so we could give you our vote;we came out in masses to support you just for our unborn children to experience a better Nigeria CHANGE. A poor Nigerian under the past government can be assured on a 3 square meal now even an average man struggles to get crumbs. We are suffering the presidency are smiling in Aso-rock. Patient is all they scream, but for how long are we going to be patient will my unborn children meet this suffering?we are going through hell even the light at the end of the tunnel as been put off;no hope in sight We are not seeing any improvement:slow and steady they say wins the race but your adminstration is sluggish We want to relocate to Ghana and other developing country that are more developed than Nigeria. Bring back our fuel to 65naira and see if things won't change Better still give the general public your direct contact cos as it is now only your children are smiling |
