I wonder what both teams were really thinking when they designed the adverts. the drum thing was just way out! anyway it was not a nigerian thing, afterall it was not the nigerians that designed the plot! Zulu was not unlucky they had crossed the lines too many times, filming in a no go area! I am sure the exec had that in mind too |
The PM was not fired this week! The loofer was, Akatu! Sahara group was task location Task: develop mission statement and do a tv commercial, Matrix won! Update proudly presented by The Apprentice Africa |
Zulu won but they had their pm was a female Kathleen. it was really interresting. task was at eko hotel. read the rest of the story here The Apprentice africa. Omar was fired! update: the show is in episode 4 now. the website is www.theapprenticeafrica.com. the website is usally about a week behind so that the rest of africa can catch up but if you want recent update as it is happening this is the place to go: The Apprentice africa |

while i think that a simple way around who flash you money is to integrate a page where the buyer enters his phone number along with other details before the link for payment ie capture prospective buyer details and then move on to payment. The other side is that your bank statement might also read who paid you. I would talk to someone at inland bank and give you guys a feedback. Having said that I think that this payment mode would only work for small ticket item. Just my guess. As a guide I am working on a detail how to for everyone and would post the link next week keep the dream alive, ecommerce for every one. ps: if you mean serious biz, raise your 150k and go to interswitch short and simple. maybe there really is a means of getting interswitch to give nairaland forum members some serious discount, Seun any ideas? |
bimbliss: what is/are your current needs. Why are you buying a system |
The truth is this, the more a buyer is aware, the better choice he can make. Alot of folks just buy something not minding if it meets what they intend it for. I believe that the onus is on the vendors to begin to educate their buyers so that the buyers can buy right. It was out of this that I wrote the free ebook " How to buy a laptop at a very good price" request at apmis28@gmail.com. it is free! |
Nobody seem to have answered the question about how you get details of who paid you, or am i missing something |
Just wondering if there is anything wrong with MLM, alot of people seem to have some negative perception towards it. I sincerely believe that if it is well organised it is a win-win senario for all |
The next thing is to get a lawyer that is into intellectual property and then get a patent from the intellectual property rights commision ( I think that is what it is called) before you start talking to anyone. |
How fast do you need them? I guess the quickest means is to get to computer village. |
I sincerely believe that the market is big in Nigeria. the PC penetration is still very low compared to the general population. I also see dispensable income increasing. After a while service would become a key issue first among the upper class customers and then it would trickle down. One key issue that i tend to agree with is the issue of trust. I have a premise that most people would buy from you based on trust rather than just price. I actually have started another post in the forum to test such hypothesis ( How to buy cheap laptop). As a followup I believe that it is difficult to establish trust on the basis of you "Get your money back guarantee". I think that getting it right first time and a word of mouth/mouse might do a significant difference. it is significant to know that you (mazia ) have a business setup doing supply contracting already. I believe that this is some leverage for you. Just for the asking what vendors do you deal with in terms of volume? the key to Nigerian business is patience, patience, patience. what kinks do you have in your service delivery I might be able to help. just send me a mail. apmis28@gmail.com. let talk |
Mazia: your profile has the hotmail account not YIM, at least the last time I checked. tell me what is your opinion about brand: dell, hp, compaq , toshiba, acer etc. Alot of people seem to make their preference based on some glitch they had with a brand at a certain thing and subsequently develop an avoidance tendency |
I already did. to your hotmail account. expecting your response asap |
ok as soon can I get one? with the next shipment?? |
Okay, I am working on something slightly different though. Looking forward to when you have it on. My interest is based on the voice of your writeup and your marketing appeal. 10 days is quite short. |
We are all interesting in buying laptops at cheap prices. I can help you : In order for me to provide you with accurate and customised solution, I need feedback from you. 1) Why are buying or why did you buy your laptop? 2) What benefits are you really looking for? 3) What features are really important to you? 4) what does cheap mean? 5) What determines the price you pay? 6) Are there additional stuff you want that you can get? 7) Does support matter to you ie warranty, free repair etc? Does it matter what location you buy your laptop from?9) Is price your only determining factor? 10) Would you just buy what is at hand or wait for a deal that would arrive in three weeks 11) Would you be willing to buy a laptop or desktop online if it offered the best price 12) Would you like to be able to configure your laptop to your taste and pocket. 13) Do you have a fancy for brand names (ie dell, hp, toshiba, acer)? which and why 14) Would you buy a not too popular/unknown name brand even if the specification matches? why/ why not? I believe that a key component to getting a cheap laptop is getting education about how and where to buy laptops at a very good price. Send me an email and I would send you my free e-book on "How to Buy a Laptop at a Very Good Price" my email address: apmis28@gmail.com. You would also get a N5000 discount voucher for your next purchase. |

how long and how much? what is the security that your cheque or payment mechanism wont bounce. anyway I am in |
Talking about homework: It seem to follow a resounding idea had just read in kiyosaki new book: before you quit your job- 10 real lifelessons, ' Home work is important. It forms the bedrock of your biz but nobody ever gets paid for doing homework, sorry this is an IT forum. but the book is a good read. Back to business: It is a competitive terrain selling laptops no doubt, but there remains a lot of room to differentiate. while Nigerians are very price conscious service and support matters in the long run. I would say this is missing. A lot of business are corner shop -buy and go. again market segmentation matters- who are you selling too. My goal is to develop a word of mouth reputation in my community for good prices + better service and support= best value experience! I hope with some marketing I can take a big cut of the market share. I am building a company not just a shop. Talking of being burnt: it is not just an experience for you guys out of the country, it happens within too. The issue with being burnt is bad business management and plain greed. There is always the need to clarify your business process with whoever you are dealing with and maintain effective check and balance.Alot of us in this country find it difficult to understand cashflow, simply keeping the business alive by maintaining a sizeable turnover of reinvested money. it is difficult but it is the only way out. i speak from experience just coming out a burnt finger process. I am putting things together to ensure that a repeat never hapens again. I guess is the dream within me that pushes one on. earthrealm:Earthrealm: what if the best place to buy a laptop was not in Lagos would you still buy? what is a good price? side kick: All brand new laptops are good! . I can help: Send me an email and I would send you my free e-book on "How to Buy a Laptop at a Very Good Price" my email address: apmis28@gmail.com. We can take it form there |
What kind of site would it be? I am interested in your next shipment |
I am interested, you know how to reach me. thanks |
guys! not guts? |
As a followup from the apprentice i wonder what lesson various people learnt from the programme. what impact it had on people that are enterprenuers or aspirig to be. For me it offered a venue to watch how people think and respond, how in their thinking they missed the whole point. It was inspring in most cases i remember how the guts used N20k to raise over 200k or so. I wish it was on 24/7 besides the summary episodes. Looking forward to the new version |
Does it matter what location you buy your laptop from?
