Lot's of education about possibilities. The recent awareness of the cyborg about the self improvements in his machine body just opened another chapter to the Marvel Chronicles.

Apollux , in which season are we going to get the source of the Ion crystal.

As a matter of fact, all of part 3 will be about the Ion crystal : its origin, potentials and capabilities.
Oh and before I forget the Alpha project is tied to this one way or the other.

Icicle didn’t stop but jumped to her feet, climbing over the hot remains of the first ADMEC and headed for an exit out of the place. Just them an amber colored plasma bolt hit her from behind, knocking her off her feet and slamming her heavily to the ground. Only it was a human shaped charred body, all that became of icicle, was what fell on the ground smoking.


The Mole came on still cradling his huge plasma rifle. “She was good for target practice. “ was all he said as he walked between the charred remains of the bodies of those he had engaged. None of the human attackers had escaped. The Mole being just him alone against more than ten opponents didn’t make a difference, the plasma gun did all the work though. He came to stand before the cyborg his eyes turning to look further ahead, seeing that Marvel was still engaged with that monster of a machine.


“You should get going. “ He pulled off the almost spent energy cell for the plasma rifle and replaced it with a fresh one. “You still have a data to retrieve. Don’t worry I will cover your back. “
The cyborg moved out heading for the direction its targeting sensor indicated the main data terminal where the data he came for can be retrieved. Entering the building, they came to a wide foyer where instead of the cyborg heading for one of the lift doors, , he headed for one of the stairs. Just then a door opened and armed men poured out of it firing. Lazer bolts hit the cyborg while the Mole following after ran back and took cover behind an edge. Cyborg’s arms morphed into guns then fired. Some of the attacking men dropped on the ground. Other doors opened and more armed men came out shooting.


Cyborg turned to face the new threat as the Mole looked out of hiding, moving out, he lifted his plasma rifle adding his own shots to that of the cyborg. As the attackers pulled back, the Mole took out a hi-ex frag grenade, lobed it through the door some of the attackers were coming from. There was a loud explosion with cries of pains following. The explosion put a temporal hold on the attacks.
“We don’t have time for this “ the Mole told the cyborg his voice strained with effort. “You can’t afford this delay. Go ahead and get that data, I can hold them here. “

Unconsciously, the machine logic of the cyborg activated its self preservation subroutine programming, as it felt the human mind was interfering with its survival ratio probability. It joined the two arms together which morphed into a single heavy duty energy cannon even before Dr. Bryant mind will realize it. The muzzle of the energy cannon glowed white at it shot out an energy lance of pure white that hit one of the ADMEC dead center. There was an initial splash as the white energy hit the machine body but the heavy armor plating covering the ADMEC melted in seconds, burning through the underlying wires and circuitry, then through the cockpit, vaporizing the pilot, then blowing through its back. A hole as big as the ADMEC torso was laid bare as the energy beam went off. Large wires, bent pipes and iron parts surrounded the raged hole spewing out smoke. The ADMEC finally crashed to the ground.


The pilot of the second ADMEC who happened to be the female called Icicle, cursed when she saw what happened to the first ADMEC. She quickly unbuckled the belt holding her to the crash seat in the machine’s cockpit, pulled off the helmet and arm gloves controls, hit the chest port control button and was already jumping off the ADMEC when the cyborg’s energy beam hit. It was a repeat of what happened to the first ADMEC. The energy beam burn through the ADMEC, melting metal, wires and plastic, to tear through the back. As soon as the ADMEC fell, the emergency self preservation subroutine went off and Dr. Bryant stared almost with disbelief.

The human mind of the cyborg was worried about this development and what it portents for him. True, very little is known about the nature of the Ion crystal, but where will all these lead? How long before Dr. Bryant looses complete control? The machine logic part of the cyborg didn’t think there should be worries over that. Evolution is a constant part of living organism,it is an integral part of the survival dynamics of life.


That is the problem, Bryant’s mind argued back, the cyborg is not a living thing. That is subjective, the machine logic countered, the very fact that the cyborg’s body is learning, evolving and adapting to new level of threat to better survive future encounters is a self preservation attitude attributed to being alive. Dr. Bryant was surprised at the response of the cyborg’s cold logic and if it was still possible, he would have been afraid.


The machine logic of the cyborg is exerting more control and influences as the days goes by. He will definitely need to report this to Dr. Guthrie as soon as possible so he can run a full spectro-analysis and diagnosis. Could it be that the Ion crystal has a mind of its own which it is expressing through the cyborg’s mechanical parts? That is something he will have to make sure of before its too late.


His introspection has cost him some seconds which the ADMECs have effectively used by hammering him with heavier firepower. The energy shield on the cyborg was beginning to show signs of dropping. The cyborg moved quickly dodged a barrage of rockets targeted at him, which exploded harmlessly behind him, got close to the attacking ADMECs, by this time his arm has morphed back into a fingered hand, he grabbed one of the ADMEC’s shoulder rocket pods and mini gun with a savage twist he ripped them away from the shoulder, with torn iron joints and wires with electrical sparks.


The pilot in the ADMEC screamed as there was a temporal power surge and sparks on his the control panels in the cockpit . The second machine turned on the cyborg unleashing rockets, which hit the cyborg, sorting out his energy shield and knocking him from his target. The cyborg rolled as it fell with heavy thuds sounds hammering the floor. Despite the energy shield going off, the cyborg’s body is made of heavily dense armor. High velocity bullets from the mini guns on the ADMEC hit him relentlessly without a pause. As he was pushed back step by the step, the second ADMEC recovered as its emergency rebooting system kicked in.

Cyborg felt the explosions of the rockets and bullets hitting the energy shield surrounding him as he moved to avoid as much of them as he can. The two ADMECs completely ignored the Mole, letting the others deal with him because they considered the cyborg the bigger threat. The ADMECs have coordinated their attacks in such a way that their fires were concentrated and hitting heavily on the cyborg.


With his hands morphed into quad muzzles plasma blasters, the cyborg returned fire, that hit the ADMECs, shook them a little and did nothing more than that. While he was engaging the ADMECs, his diagnostic system was running a full analysis on the make up of these ADMECs. The results he got were similar to the same from his earlier entanglement with them at the Trans Terra tower back on Nuterra. So he can take them out the same way he did before. But something within him gave him a pause.


The mind of Dr. Bryant within the cyborg has noticed something about the cybernetic make up of his body. Each time he has faced an enemy, he notices that his body gets better than it was before the encounter. For example, as he faces the ADMECs now, he noticed that his cybernetic make up has improved better to deal with them. At the first engagement with them back at Nuterra, their attacks on him has had serious effects and dealing with them had been hard. But presently, their attacks on him has had no effects on him whatsoever. His body now seems more stronger than before, much more capable of defeating them easily.


More correctly, his body has now evolved or enhanced to better deal with them. His mind felt uncomfortable about this development, his body is a machine, it can’t act better than what it was made to do. Any new enhancement he has should come as a result of new upgraded parts attached to him. The last upgrades that Dr. Guthrie had done on him was far back before his encounter with the ADMECs the first time. Since then no added modifications have been carried out on him, yet he noticed that in his present face off with these machines, he is better. His hardware, tactical reading and analysis, response time and defense tactics, have all improved, or evolved to deal with the ADMECs effectively and efficiently.


Damn, the mind of Dr. Bryant cursed within the cybernetic frame, machines are not suppose to evolve. Machines don’t learn, they can only function within the operation parameters set up for them . For a machine to improve, their must be added programs with higher functional algorithms which will expand its limited parameters. So what has caused his machine body to evolve without any added upgrades? His mind went to the Ion crystal, the alien power source that supplies the energy the cyborg used in functioning.


Without it, the cyborg program wouldn’t have worked in the first place. Could the Ion crystal be responsible? Is it possible that it is making the cyborg’s body to function like a living organism? He and Dr. Guthrie, had concluded long before now that his ability to morph his arms into any shapes, was mostly made possible by the impact of that power source on the cybernetic frame. But that in itself is not evolution but an efficient use of available hardware and programing boundaries. But this new enhancement he is experiencing is revolutionary, his body is beginning to learn from previous engagements and battles, updating and upgrading itself to newer levels to better handle same threats without the mind of Dr. Bryant or the cybernetic programs that runs it contributing to that.

Simon Omega is death nd gone to his grave...hahaha

Lol. Well Simon is not Marvel’s greatest enemy. He is yet to meet him.

Marvel held hard to his tummy as ragged fiery fingers of pains tore through his torso. He knew that Simon was strong and a cunning fighter, he is good at fighting dirty. This Marvel knew and yet let him sucker punched him. He has to come up with a way to remedy this fast because Simon is just seconds away from killing him.


“I’m going to hit you with this iron till your skull shatters and your brains exposed. I will not stop till your brains stains this floor. I will pop your eyes into my mouth, your ears and teeth will be the jewels on my necklace. “ Simon came close to the grounded bounty hunter, his arm lifted with the metal pipe raised, ready to smash down.


Marvel kicked out with his full strength behind it. His booted foot, with the sole already set to steel hit Simon at his knee. With a loud crack, the knee shattered and he howled as a wild animal that is dealt a heavy injury. The pipe fell from Simon’s hand as he started to stumble around with one of the leg useless.


“Like I side you talk too much. “ Marvel came at him again. Despite the pains in his hand, he delivered punch after punch to Simon’s face, chest and stomach. Simon still stumbled around despite his shattered knee. After several blows, Simon nose and mouth were ripped and bloody. One of his eye was swollen shut.


Simon wanted to deliver another insult but his mouth couldn’t open to use the choice words. His hand groped around his boot and held on to the handle of a vibroblade. With a flick of his thumb the vibroblade hummed to life. He struggled up and rushed at Marvel with his one good leg, punching at the bounty hunter with the vibrating knife leading. Marvel dodged the attack and grabbed the wrist of the hand holding the knife. With a vicious twist, Marvel broke the wrist and the knife dropped from Simon’s hand.


With a backward swing, Marvel smashed his face and he fell again as his single good leg couldn’t balance him as he staggered. Marvel bent and picked up the vibroblade taking a look at the humming blade edge.
“ Well it’s over for you Simon, I am taking you back to prison. “ Marvel turned walking towards the silently standing AA suit.


Simon wasn’t giving up. With his teeth grinding, he slowly reached to the boot of his injured leg, he pulled out a small lazer gun and aimed the muzzle at Marvel’s turned back. Despite his busted face, Simon managed a smile as he prepared to fire. Marvel stopped walking, with a slow almost lazy flick of his arm backwards throwing the knife. With a steady roll, the vibroblade twisted in the air heading for Simon’s face. The blade hit Simon’s forehead, as the vibration continued at a fast pace, it chewed through the skull, reached the brains, borrowing through the soft tissue, it hammered at the back of the cranium, blow through that too then went straight to hit the far wall, blood, brain tissues and pieces of bones scattered in its wake. Simon Omega, with a wide hole in his fore head, stayed still for some seconds, the look of shocked eternally frozen on his face as he slowly dropped to the ground with pints of blood pouring out.

Simon made his move after Marvel refused to respond to his jabs. He came with forward blows, which Marvel blocked easily but then a knee jab hit Marvel at his side. Marvel felt that as he staggered back. Simon followed with a vicious upper cut blow which missed Marvel’s face by inches. He still swing the second fist which still hit Marvel’s jaw. Marvel stepped back raised his hands still looking quietly as a thin line of blood ran down the side of his lip.


“How do you like that, shi.t face? “ Omega asked as he raised his hands again ready to attack. “ How do you like my fist hammering your face? “
“Why don’t you just shut up. “ Marvel said as Simon angrily came again. This time he was prepared as Simon came at him. He side stepped as his attacker raced by, Marvel swing a blow that knocked the back of Simon’s head.


As Simon stumbled, Marvel followed with a heavy flying kick to his back. Flying kick is a very poor form of attack in a hand to hand combat, because it leaves you open to a quick counter attack and recovery from it is hard. But at this instance, Simon’s back was turned and he was unbalanced. The kick pushed the excon forward, he fell hitting his face on the ground.
“Ready to give up now? “ Marvel asked as he watched Simon struggled up on his hands and knee.


“Drop dead, Marvel. “ Simon Omega spew blood from his mouth. “I will never give you the satisfaction of seeing me grovel. “
Simon’s hand touched something that felt cold like a metal in the shape of a pipe. He lifted it a bit and know the object can be use. With blinding speed, he ran at Marvel, swinging the pipe. Marvel instinctively raised his hand to defend the attack without knowing what was used for it . The pipe hit the forearms he raised to block it and his bones felt like jelly immediately. Marvel roared as he saw his forearm swell with pain and a sudden shock of numbness. With unholy glee, Simon Omega came at him again, this time the pipe hit Marvel in his stomach. Marvel folded on his stomach in pain. A brutal kick hit his face from Simon and the bounty hunter was knocked backwards.


“How is it Marvel? Hope you are having as much fun as I am?” Simon said slowly hitting the metal pipe on his hand. The pipe was actually the covering for a super conducting cable that was torn away from the wrecked ADMEC. “I must admit that I enjoy seeing you squirming in pains. I want you to suffer like I did in my time in prison. I wish I can record you now growling in pains and show it to everyone how I humiliated you before mercifully putting you out of your misery. “

“So Marvel you have won, revel in that fact shi.tface. “ Simon Omega said and the audio pick up in the ADMEC still works and transmitted his words. “So what do you want to do about it slime? You gonna blow me up now that I’m all tied up, beaten and vulnerable? “


Marvel didn’t reply him. Staying some feet away from the damaged ADMEC, he held both the DNG-MK rifle and the TEC 10 RPG pointed at the blown cheat of the machine, which despite it, was still standing on its feet. Though he really felt like pulling the trigger and blowing everything away, yet it seems Simon wants to make a point and Marvel wants to find out what it is.


“Nothing? Still standing there and doing nothing? You don’t have all the time in the world. Here let me make it easier for you. “ Simon Omega pulled off the neuro-cybernetic helmet from his head and the control gauntlets too. He unlocked the seat belt and leg straps holding his feet. He touched a control and the transperisteel cheat covering opened then he jumped off the machine, landing just before Marvel.


“Will you kill me easily using that your fancy armored suit, that’s the cowardly thing to do which I mostly expect from you. “ He said pouring out spittle on Marvel’s feet. “ Or you can come out of that thing and take me out with your hands, that’s if you’ve got the guts. “


Marvel knew the bait for what it is. He hated Simon as equally as he is hated, it would be so easy to just kill him here. But he will not be dragged to Simon’s lower standards. Marvel clipped both guns at the magnetic clamp on the back of the suit. Touching some controls, the AA suit opened and Marvel walked out and the suit remained standing after it closed back and its security safe guards were activated .


“You are a fool Marvel for dropping your greatest advantage. “ Simon Omega laughed, as he clenched his fists, the muscles on his shoulders and biceps stood up and rippled. “You just handed me the opportunity to kill you. “

Marvel knew what the trap is but didn’t fall for it. Simon was trying to distract him by talking, taking away his mind from his true intentions. Well Marvel has a trick of his own too, something he borrowed from the marine force recon team. He pulled out the magnetic thermite grenade, activated it, counted the seconds, ran ahead to meet the coming ADMEC, slapped the grenade on its chest and rolled out of the way.


As he was rolling away, his hand was pulling out the TEC 10 from the magnetic clamp at his back and reloading it. As he stopped and pulled him self from the floor, turning to face the ADMEC, he saw the grenade flashed first with the exothermic explosive before the secondary explosion knocked the ADMEC sideways. As the machine turned to face Marvel, a very wide circle has been created on its cheat. The reading given to Marvel by the suit is that the chest area of the ADMEC is now vulnerable to attack from the TEC 10.


Marvel took up the TEC 10 and released rockets to the ADMEC’s chest. As each rockets hit the sport, dense armor plating started falling off. It took all of nine rockets to finally blow up the last covering showing Simon Omega on a control chair, with its seat belts crossing his chest in an X form. Simon’s hands were covered in a heavy electronic gauntlet linked with delicate wires connected to control panels on the ADMEC. His head was encased in a heavy helmet with wires and control knobs blinking with multi colored lights. With the last layer of the dense armor plating ripped off the only thing protecting the excon was a thin transparisteel covering. Marvel looked at that face and felt nothing but disgust.

The suit recommended a second solution, the use of his DNG-MK 112 assault rifle. Despite been pinned on the floor as the ADMEC viciously attacked him with the clawed arms now joined with rapid fire from the mini guns on his shoulders hitting Marvel constantly with a steady stream of bullets ricocheting, his hand pulled out the rifle, lifted it and dug the muzzle under the armpit of one of the attacking arms and pulled the trigger.


The DNG-MK 112 was fully loaded with its 100 rounds drum clip and was on full auto fire setting. The bullets were made of flintsteel with lazer sharpened edges that cuts infinitely better than flechette. The 100 rounds clip ran dry in less than a second but its result was spectacular. The bullets tore through the undercover delicate wirings and connectors linking it with the central motor function of the ADMEC. Also the stronger primary sub link attachers were blown away too.


The arm now hung uselessly on the ADMEC. This gave a little respite for Marvel to move out from under the ADMEC, reloaded his DNG-MK and targeted the second arm. After shooting, that one too hung useless on the ADMEC.
In a seeming act of rage the ADMEC turned, the shoulder mini guns blazing. Marvel rolled out of its way, reloading his rifle again. This time targeting one of the shoulder mounted gun. The smart unit in his suit pointed out the weaken and vulnerable parts to Marvel.
He concentrated his fire on those. With bullets hitting the stands connecting the mini guns to the shoulders of the ADMEC as they continued, the flintsteel bullets chew through them and their controls. They sorted with several bright electrical sparks and the guns fell from the shoulders of the ADMEC.


In the low lit cockpit of the ADMEC, Simon Omega raged, as almost all his attacking armaments were destroyed. All he can hope to do now is kill Marvel by dropping the weight of this machine on him. No matter how strong that his armor is, it can long stand against the crushing weight of this machine. Simon moved the ADMEC and headed for his most hated enemy.


“Why do you keep jumping about Marvel? “ Simon’s voice sounded out of the ADMEC. “If you have stayed still, I’d have ended this engagement long before now. That way your death would have been quick and clean, so no need to have come this far. “

Marvel pointed his TEC 10 at the ADMEC, allowing the smart tactical feature of the suit to guide him. The suit painting the ADMEC on a grid display on his helmet’s HUD, it showed him the points around the machine that are still densely armored and strong and parts that have been weaken due to pressure sustained from repeated hits. The shoulder mounted rocket pods with the ports are one of such. Then the mini guns too.


Somewhere around the center part of the ADMEC can be weaken with sufficient hits. That part’s armor is a bit less dense as the other parts, as it is the place arrangement was made for the driver’s cockpit. The bounty hunter had his targets. With quick move, his TEC 10 was up and firing. His first four shots he aimed for the guns and rocket pods on the ADMEC’s shoulders. The machine lifted its gun arms to block the rockets which exploded on them, taking out the two muzzles on them.


Marvel fired again at the same targets with two rockets, this time the machine arms couldn’t lift fast enough as the explosions must have damaged something within them causing them to smoke. The two rocket pods blew apart, as pieces of it were torn away from the ADMEC’s shoulders. Simon responded by firing the mini guns at him. This caused Marvel to roll out of the way of the shots, so he could get an accurate shot at the shoulder mounted guns. Still Marvel fired his rockets aiming for any target on the huge machine.


This time, Simon moved the ADMEC which such speed that surprised Marvel as the machine sidestepped the two rockets which exploded harmlessly behind it. Marvel ran closer to the ADMEC to get a wider field of fire and reduce Simon’s chance of dodging his shots. The TEC 10 spew out two rockets which hit the ADMEC dead center on the torso. The machine staggered and its leg readjusted to another angle with the whirring of servomotors to keep its balance. Marvel pulled the trigger again on the TEC 10 but it clicked on an empty chamber, the ten loaded rockets were used up. Marvel cursed but before he could react, he felt one of the claw arm of the ADMEC hit him hard with a back ward swing. With a loud metallic clang, Marvel was pushed backwards by the blow.


The machine came at him again, claw arms aiming and hitting him. He felt each blow despite the AA suit’s covering. The blows were hitting him continuously but the internal working system of the suit was still functional. It showed him a weak spot on the shoulder joint of one of the arms hitting him. The suit recommended using a rocket to blow it apart. But Marvel couldn’t reload under the onslaught of the pommeling he was receiving from Simon.

The fight was fast and brutal in the first seconds it started. Marvel’s AA suit was giving him as much advantage as possible going one on one against the ADMEC. Still Hardwire’s words continue to ring at the back of his mind that he can’t win against an ADMEC if he goes head to head with it. That seems to have been proven correct so far. His TEC 10 has been helping him hold his own but just barely. Simon Omega’s ADMEC has shaken off everything that he had thrown at him.


Just then the ADMEC’s twin shoulder mounted mini guns opened up spewing hot armor piercing leads. Marvel moved fast avoiding the shots, but the high velocity of the bullets made them too fast to easily dodge. Lots of them struck Marvel’s armored suit bounced off ricocheting. Marvel unleashed the remaining two rockets left on his TEC 10. They hit the machine, staggering it and giving him the time to pull out another ten rockets drum clip and insert it into the RPG. Simon responded by spewing out rockets from the shoulder mounted rocket pods.


Just then a rain of explosions began to fall around Marvel. Fortunately his armor had locked on to all the rockets fired, calculated their trajectories and impact points which it fed to Marvel through the display on the helmet’s HUD . Marvel used this as his point for side stepping all the explosion area. He may avoid the impact sites but flying shrapnel from the explosions were hitting him multiple times. Just then the rain of rockets and explosions stopped abruptly, the rockets ports on the ADMEC’s shoulders appeared empty. The ports, spewing out smoke continued to whir jerking slightly.


Simon may not have been paying attention to the amount of ammo he has with him. Seems he just ran out of rockets. Marvel thought grimly. And I’d be foolish to give him the opportunity to reload.

“Though something still baffles me about all this, I was thinking Marvel is supposed to be at the forefront of the attacks here but none of the security footage have shown him. Where is he? “ he bent asking the thrashing female on the ground. “Though I did notice a new person who was putting on an unknown kind of armor covering. I have watched the armor’s work with keen interest, I really would be glad to lay my hand on it. That person seems to be leading the cyborg, could that be Marvel under the armor? It will be nice to get to find out. Anyway the cyborg’s attempt to retrieve that data will be his last attempt at anything because, though the data is there but it is a trap specifically tailored to take the cyborg out. “


“Well it’s been fun I must admit “ Jeffery knelt by her pulling out a vibroblade. His hand holding her helmeted head steady, pushing it aside to expose the flexible neck joint between the head and shoulder of the armor that is vulnerable. “It will be good to see the true face of this successful infiltrator before slicing your delicate neck. “


The low hum of the vibroblade didn’t let Jeffery hear as Jade’s armored fist clenched. Her thrashing on the floor has actually been a feint from her, hoping to get him closer which it did. Her fist lashed out hitting him at the ear which made him tumbled backwards the blade dropping from his hand . She followed with a scissors cut kick to the other cheek. With her shoulders on the floor and her hands for support, she jumped off the floor with a single forward roll the brought her two feet to land heavily on Jeffery’s chest. He stumbled more and crashed into a set of huge stainless steel cylinders with the words HIGLEY FLAMEABLE printed on its surface.


“Nice of you for letting me in on your little secret, Jeffery, I’m sure to make good use of it. “ Jade said as her hand went for the hand gun in the holster attached to her thigh. She lifted the gun pointing it at him as he cleaned his bleeding mouth with the back of his hand. His white lab coat was badly squeezed and stained red with blood. “ Unfortunately I must say goodbye to you. “


Jude nods her head in the direction of the cylinders with flammable material. Jeffery turned and his eyes went wide when he realized the cylinder contains liquid hydrogen already pressurized. All he could do is scream “No” as Jade fired and there was a whoosh sound followed immediately by an explosion spewing flame which covered the whole place, engulfing both of them. Jeffery stumbled in the inferno as his body was consumed and his screams of agony died out. Jade simply stood in the middle of the roaring flames, the auto thermal regulator control in the armored uniform came on and kept her from being burnt up. She walked slowly amidst the burning flames, picked up her rifle, that was thankfully heat resistant and walked out of the place through the door. Her mind struggling to recall an old legend about a person or people who had survived been thrown into a burning pit of fire. Chuckling, she promised herself, that if she ever finds the one responsible for building this marine combat armor, she will definitely kiss him. This thing has saved her life more than once today.

He came at her with fist swinging. She shifted her head backwards, dodging the blow. But that was a feint, the real attack came from somewhere else. His other fist slammed into her midsection. She felt pains, despite the armor. That part of her cover has been severely weakened from the bites of the hybrid dogs. Jeffery followed with another punch to her stomach, with another then another in rapid move too fast for Jade to block. Another punch hit her helmet which jeered her head backwards sharply.


“You see another added bonus to my bodily enhancement is speed. You may be a better fighter but I’m faster and stronger. “ Jeffery pulled off from his attacks, crunching his knuckles which are peeled and leaking blood for hitting the armored body. “And I do not feel pains on all the enhanced parts of my body. “


Another round of fights ensured, as Jade attacked this time but Jeffrey was able to counter her with his faster response. A kicked to his face was blocked by his elbow, the snake strike Jade made at his eyes was knocked off by a simple wave of his palm, then a quick back roll and a jump kick from her was sidestepped by him which gave him an opening to hit her on the ribs. She dropped to the ground like a heavy stone and a growl of pain escaped her lips. Her sides were on fire , she thought as it clouded her mind, that perhaps she has some of her ribs broken. Jeffery stepped by a bit enjoying watching her trash on the ground in pains.


“I must admit that I’m enjoying this since I don’t usually engage in brawl. Well before I get to kill you it’s good to know that your mission here was a failure from the start. “ The corporate head took on a more relaxed position still watching her. “ I know why you came here. To access the information we have stored in our facility . You believe that the data taken from Trans Terra tower is here and you are correct. “


Interrupting his talk he came quickly as he noticed Jade was trying to get on her feet. The heavy chair was in his hands again and down it came in a savage arc downward to smash the Earthwatch agent on her back. She crashed to the ground, moaning and slowly turning as her back flashed afresh with pains though the armor blunted the intensity of the attack.


“But this terminal cannot access the data you came for, I only set it up as a trap, which unfortunately you fell for. “ Dropping the chair again, as he saw no immediate need for it, he came closer, rested his buttocks on a table peering down at Jade. “ There is only one place where that data can be taken from, I believe that is where that annoyingly dexterous cyborg is headed. Though a really big surprise is waiting for him."

Jade struggled back to her knees, her eyes getting darkened by pains. Her armored covering had kept her alive through tough knocks but it won’t stop the pains her body has been subjected to. She turned her head to face Jeffery as he stood watching her carefully. She was glad again that the face plate of her helmet hid her expression of agony.


“You might be surprised at the feat of strength I just performed. Well while using the nanobots and silicon-fibre to repair my deteriorating health and body, I added an extra bonus. Muscles and strength enhancements were what I did. “ He threw the heavy chair away from him and walked close to the kneeling agent. “So my enhanced strength against you full armored suit seem like a fair match up. With my bare hands I intend to rip that covering from your person and tear you apart myself.”


On her knees, Jade did a back flip somersault, came on her feet and launched her self against Jeffrey. A sharp kick from her landed on his chest. She did a full body turn with the heel of her second leg smashing heavy on Jeffery’s jaw. He staggered backwards. She followed that with quick successive hits with the blade of her palms, a puma punch and a clinched fist giving him an uppercut blow. This knocked him down on the floor flat on his back. Jade took an aggressive Mantis martial art combat stance as Jeffery staggered to his feet. He surprised her by clapping his hands and spitting out the blood running down the side of his lips and a broken tooth.


“Very very impressive display. From a rumor, I heard you are Japanese. Well you do your lineage proud. “ Jeffery lifted up both of his hand coiling them to fists. “But you will need to do better than that if you want to take me out. “

Not waiting for the last dog to recover, Jade dove at it, punching her sword to the area she guessed its heart should be. Doing a little pull she widen the cut and paying no thought to the squirming of the canine as it twisted in dead throes. Not yet satisfied, as the dogs struggle weakened, she went close to the neck and cut down on it, twice before the head was severed from the body. Jade looked on the two dead animals sadly, as they lie still in their poodle of blood with heads parted. She has always loved dogs but these are not dogs, they are a product of a deranged mind. These creatures were turned from what nature intended for them, twisted to fit the parade of the sickened depraved human mind which forced these creatures to endure a life time of pain and torture. Killing them was a mercy to put them out of their misery. One more reason to hate Jeffery Wildwinter, he made her kill animals that she usually love.


Putting all that behind her, she looked around for Jeffery and was surprised not to see him. He must have sneaked out when his pets attacked her. Typical of a corporate head, they are mostly just cowards on suits. She headed for the door leading to the data terminal that was her target. Getting passed the door, she discovered it wasn’t just a room, but a huge work space that was interconnected with other ones. Some locked with huge gates, others with normal real wood doors and some were just open.


Those multiple doors will created a slight problem of choice on which to take if she was intending to continue that way but fortunately it’s not. The data terminal was just there standing by a table with three data consoles connected to it. Going closer, she brought out her cable connected it to her storage data cube then lifted the other end to plug into one of the free port on the data terminal. That was when she felt something heavy hit her as if a great weight fell on her.


As she crashed down to the floor, she quickly rolled beyond where she was standing, her head and hand lifted and turned holding out her rifle. The gun was pulled out of her hand by a great force before she saw clearly what was attacking her. It was Jeffery, back and carrying a very dense looking metallic chair that would have been too heavy for an ordinary man to lift than to talk of wielding it as it seems obvious to her now that it was the heavy chair he had attacked her with. With a quick look around she saw her rifle on the ground about four feet away. As she was about to dive for it, Jeffery kicked it further away from her.


“I don’t think you will need that for what I have in mind to do to you. “ the Syntech CEO said, still holding the metal chair casually in his hand as if it weighs nothing. “I’m glad I have to kill you. It will be a real plus for us if your undercover activities are finally put to an end. “

Her rolling had kept her on the floor, one of her knee was on the ground, the other leg was bent as if she is about to sprint, but her two hands were holding tightly to the katana’s hilt raised to her shoulders level as she silently watched the dogs. One of them has a long gash by the side that was bleeding heavily, that must have been the one her sword slashed. The dog coiled back as if ready for a spring showing little concern for its injury. The dogs’ skin might be tough but Jade’s katana has an edge that is sharpened to molecular level, it can cut through most things, even armor plating. Thick skins on dogs is child’s play.


Though having the sword might have given her a better confidence, that doesn’t mean she will win. The dogs are vicious, stronger and faster than she is, almost all advantages belong to them. The other dog, with the burnt skin was turning back to face her where she was as the dog has been thrown far wide off target as Jade dove away, and its speed has moved it too far.


Just then an idea pumped into her head that she knew was so crazy to almost look suicidal but that might be her only means of beating these creatures. Before any of the dogs will attack her, she moved. Her direction was at the burnt dog, her legs pumped, pouring out all the speed In them for all they are worth. The first dog ran after her with mouth wide open and teeth bared coming at full attack speed. The one with the partly burnt face that was the focus of Jade, also picked up and ran at her. Jade knew she has to timed it just right or else she is dead.


As she got close enough to the dog, she slid down between its paws, rolling under it to emerge behind it. Just then the dog running behind her crashed heavily into the one she just dodged. Both tumble uncontrollably from the impact. Without waiting for another second, she raced at them, her sword lifted high, held with both hands. She came to one of the dogs, and the sword came down with a vicious arc hitting the animal at the neck. The katana’s keen edge cut down quickly without meeting much resistance till it struck bone.


She pulled the sword out, amidst the sudden spray of blood and struck the neck again following the same line as the first cut. This time, the sword sliced through the bones and the dogs head dropped to the floor with a thud as blood poured out from the stump of the neck. Before Jade could pull back, the second dog attacked, which was the one with the partly burnt face. It swing the head knocking Jade off her feet and it followed by diving at her smashing her chest to the ground with its muzzle opening its mouth, spilling saliva, to chew her into two.


The sturdy armor covering of her uniform held back the teeth trying to crunch it. At this position, Jade couldn’t bring her sword arm out fully for a real cut. Still she can still swing it at a limited range. This she did aiming for one of the dog’s huge paw. The sword struck unerringly, slicing through the leg of the dog cutting off the paw. The dog whirled back in pain, jerking the stump of its leg that was the remains after the paw was cut off. Jade utilized the respite and small space given to her as the dog moved away a little. Her sword cut upward slashing a long cut along the chest and ribcage of the dog. It whined again in pain, as this seems the only real sound their vocal chords could emit. It was really eerie, as it would be expected that huge dogs like these should be able to bark.

One disadvantage of the incendiary grenade is that it will need combustible materials for it to increase burning but since the grenade only exploded on the dog and the floor, the fire that came out was only on one part of the dog’s face and on the ground, the flame was already dying down. The first dog turned to face the trembling Earthwatch agent as it scat away from the dwindling fire, head lowered, lips pulled back aggressively revealing the rows of teeth and bile of saliva dropping from both ends of the mouth.


The canine was getting ready to attack again but waiting for the second one to join it so they can go at their target at the same time. The fire burning on the second dog spurted then slowly winked out. Still half part of the hybrid dog’s face was badly scarred, with the burnt part showing fresh wound. Part of the neck and the shoulder of the fore limb had burnt scar marks. But as the fire has died, it too turned the head to face Jade. Only one of its eyes glowed amber, the other one under the wound from the burn, appeared milky white, the sudden flash to the face and fire attack has blinded that one.


Slowly Jade was taking one step after the other backwards, looking at the dogs as they prepared to attack again. She knew standing still is the easiest way to die. So she will have to move, though the dogs are way faster than she is, at least it will keep her in motion and hopefully ahead of them. Besides there is something else she has to use. Her hand had instinctively gone for her hand gun strapped to her side, but she had discarded that idea. If auto-rifle hardly fazed these animals, hand gun will just get them more mad. Grenade won’t work well, because at their speed, they can easily side step it and be out of the explosion area before the seconds delay are up.


Before she could think of her only option her hand had gone there, behind her waist line, something attached to her belt. The hilt of her special katana. She brought out the two handed hilt that was about a meter long, her finger instinctively sort the control and activated it. A keen blade, that was twice the length of the hilt shot out of it. Just then the dogs moved at a blur of speed but Jade moved too, rolling out of the way of their frontal assault. She cut side ways with her sword dreading to believe she will hit anything but was rewarded as the sword met a little resistance and then a low whine from one of the dogs.

Jade’s gun was already up and firing before the genetically enhanced hybrid giant dogs could move. But when they did move, they were fast, like shadowy blurs. Her gun fired on full auto but she wasn’t sure if any of her bullets hit the target because those canines’ moves too quickly for anything to be guaranteed. Just then she felt slammed heavily on the chest as if been hit by a fast hover truck. She was kick off her feet as she flew several feet on the air before landing heavily on the ground.


Before her reeling senses could clear, one of the hybrid dog, all fur and teeth descended on her, its muzzle open wide and it chomped on her. The huge mouth of the dog clamped down on her midsection, the teeth biting down hard but her armored cover held on. There were loud screeches as the hard ivory teeth of the dog raked on the camouflaged metal armored plates of the uniform. Still the dog held on, the giant head shaking as if on a feeding frenzy, spinning its victim sides ways. Jade was afraid that the strength on the jaws of the hybrid dog may just crush her armor covering given time.


As she lifted her hand to bring her rifle into play, the second dog pounced on the moving part. She screamed with sudden shock and slight pain as the armor covering is less dense on the arm and hand area to give more room for ease of movements. That is the more vulnerable part of the armored covering. The shock made her trigger finger to twitch and the rifle fired uncontrollably, spewing high velocity bullets around some of which hit the dog holding her hand.


The bullets only served to irritate the dog, creating tiny holes at its side with blood licking out but otherwise didn’t slow the animal one bit. All it did was made it whined a little which dropped Jade’s arm from the jaw. Seeing that the dog was about to attack again, Jade trembled greatly both with fear and the first dog that still held her tightly against it jaw. Her right hand roamed blindly around the front of her utility belt, passing between the little space in the clenching teeth of the dog that held her waist. Her armored fingers closed around a shape she knew is a grenade, unclipping it she saw it was an incendiary grenade. She armed it but already the second dog was back chewing on her left arm. She counted down to the fourth second then hurl the grenade at that dog before the fifth second at which time the grenade will explode.


The grenade hit the side muzzle of the dog and exploded with a flash that turned immediately to fire. The giant dog yelped like a puppy as it dropped her arm from its mouth the second time wiggling away as fire started to burn its fur. The one biting down on Jade’s midsection dropped her too and dove away quickly from the sudden flame. She took the time to roll away from them then staggered backwards as her body was wrecked with pains. She could hear the heavy pounding of her heart like rushing water roaring around her ears.
She tried stilling her trembling left arm, she was sure must be bleeding inside her armored suit despite the covering. She felt eternally grateful for the marine suit she was putting on, if not for it, these dogs would have torn her to pieces in less than a second.

“Stop talking and put your hands up. This is your last warning, the next time, I will fire. “ Jade said still glad again that her helmet covered her face. At least this man hasn’t seen her features, that will still keep her cover intact.
“You are in no position to issue orders to me girl. “ Bringing down his hands, he dipped them into the wide pockets of his lab coat. “Well I’m Jeffery Wildwinter, like you must have suspected. Let me welcome you properly. “


He lift his right hand, with a small device in his hand. Clicking a button there and a tiny beep sounded. Heavy padded foot steps sounding from the door behind him. Just then two huge shadows spill out from the light of the door. What produced the shadows came out of the door and Jade almost froze from shock. What came out of the door were two dog like animals but are around seven feet tall at the height from floor to shoulder and ten feet in length. Their bodies were all of black slick furs with few splashes of white and orange.


Their eyes blazed menacingly at Jade, with amber brightness. Muzzles extra long with rows of sharp teeth, with two prominent fangs at the front that runs down beyond the lower jaw invoking the image of the extinct sabre tooth tiger. Each of the dog like animals has four paw which are three times the size of Jade’s hand, all flexing protruding long sharp looking talons. They came in silently except for the soft sound of their paws hitting the paved floor, standing each by the sides of Jeffery.


“Well these are like my courtesans here to welcome you. “ Touching both flanks of the animals at his side, he continued as if he was on a lecture lectern. “These are special breeds of old Doberman from earth. With several generations of cross breeding with wolves and other more powerful aggressive dogs like the pit bulls. Creating one of the finest attack dog breeds on earth. Well no matter the crossbreeding a dog remains a dog. At Syntech, I did more than that. I took genetic materials from the perfect attack dog, an extinct saber tooth tiger and a jungle jaguar. To crown it up, on one of the colonized worlds, we saw a predatory animal that was larger and more vicious than anything on earth. Mixing all in a genetic modifying broth produced these that you see before you. They are totally loyal to me. Fast, strong, silent and have very thick skin almost like armor. Finally they have extreme tolerance to pain. Well you don’t just have to take my words for it, here find out your self. After all nothing beats experience. Hey ladies attack. “

“Though your face is hidden from me, but your stance tells me a lot. “ He continued speaking. “Seems you seeing me here must have surprised you and that connote you may have known me before. “
Jade said nothing, just quietly observing him and trying to still her raging mind. The possibility of what she is seeing is almost mind blowing.


Spreading his hands in both ways, he said. “What you see now is the miracle of modern science, more directly, the work of nano bots and silicon-fibre. Here I am before you no longer paralyzed but with the full use of all my dead limbs. “
Deciding on her next action after making sure that she is not in any ambush, if that were the case, she would have had armed men surrounding her by now. Though she knew her next action won’t work, she tried it anyway just to get things going as she knows getting that data from the terminal in the room the Jeffrey look alike just came out from still takes priority. Her automatic rifle came up, muzzle pointed at him.


“You are under arrest by order of the Earthwatch Agency. Put your hands up where I can see them and prepare to be taken into custody. “ Jade said, both hands on the gun, her legs parted as if she is ready to fire. “I would normally have read you your rights at this stage but I won’t because at the moment, you have none. “
He smiled congenially. “From the distorted voice through your helmet, I can vaguely detect you are a female under that complete armored combat uniform of the space marine. But acting under the name of Earthwatch shows you are not officially a marine but a spy. You are so good or should I say bad a spy, you even go under cover inside your own government. Telling me you are acting on behalf of Earthwatch was one bad slip up you just made. Because it just allowed me to accurately speculate who you are. “


Jade felt immediately cold. That actually wasn’t a slip up on her side, she intentionally did that though it’s better to let him think it was. But Jade’s worry is that the man remained undaunted despite she pointing a gun at him. Something must be giving the man such level of confidence to keep him really relaxed in the face of certain death. Jade is just afraid to find out what that is.
“So finally I meet the one person, besides the bounty hunter, Marvel of course, who has been a constant thorn on our sides. Seems you have successfully infiltrate a lot of our external organizations and taken sensitive data and given them to our enemies. “ Still smiling, he pointed at her, his forefinger stabbing at the air before him. “I can hazard a guess you are in a way responsible for giving the earth government the hidden location of this place.”

Running at a fast pace, she passed the dead bodies leaking out blood on the floor stopping before the gate. She took out a plasma cutter explosive attach it to the heavy gate, activated it the ran far for cover. As it counted down, the explosive flashed with intense heat that cut a wide hole of four feet in diameter from the gate. Jade didn’t wait for the hot glowing edges to cool off before she dove through the hole, despite the heavy full combat armor on her, the passed it freely without a snag. Getting up, with her gun raised, she ran at the building, which has another door at the main entrance, which looked like it’s made from transperisteel, a transparent glass like metal. The use of a high oscillation sonic grenade broke it into pieces and she passed through. The building felt like a ghost house as she saw no one else within it, neither civilian nor armed personnel. She wasn’t too surprised as the attacks around the asteroid must have drawn everyone off. Well that makes here job easier.


Going through the data of the floor plans, she saw where the data terminal was located. She ran ahead to the place but wary of booby traps and auto defense set ups. Fortunately, she didn’t face any of them. Just before the place where the data terminal is, she saw that it was in a wide area with few lab tables, human sized pods, huge steel cages that were about ten feet tall. The place was empty, neither animal subjects for what she believed is genetic experimentation going on here are seen nor the people carrying out the experiments. Well she just ignored all these first and headed for the door leading to her objective. The door slowly opened before she got close enough and a man on a lab coat walked out.


“Ah please let me welcome you to my work space. “ the man said as he walked closer and the lights over head shone on him revealing his features.
He bears a striking resemblance to Jeffrey Wildwinter, the CEO of Syntech. But the problem is that Jeffery is a sick dying paralyzed man, permanently hooked up to the life support on his power chair for life and mobility. But the person before her is a healthy strong looking man standing on his feet and appearing for all intent and purpose like Jeffery. A clone? Jade thought quickly. That is highly unlikely she replied herself. She was glad her helmet visor is covering her face so the surprise on them don’t show.

After several turns, taking lifts, coming out at the main street of the asteroid, dodging the few guards still left to roam that area, she came to an oblong building, far from the general concentration of activities within the asteroids. The feeling was like the leprosy colonies built on the planet FX 115, a planet that soon became abandoned as the first settlers discovered after the first generation that some of them were developing a flesh eating disease that attacks the limbs.


The nature of the infection was the limbs turned white, them blisters develop which turns to flesh devouring sores that chew both flesh and bones effectively cutting off the victim’s limbs. The planet has to be abandoned, unnamed and the survivors are heavily quarantined in any place they found themselves in what are called “Leprosy Colonies “ that are built far away from population centers. The disease was called leprosy as it was reminiscent of an old limbs attacking disease that has died out of planet earth about half a millennia ago. This isolated building conjured such feeling from Jade.


The building's structures are sturdy, though carved out of the rock of the asteroid, she could detect heavy reinforcements of steel in it. The building was made to withstand very strong attacks or is it rather to keep something very strong within? Though Jade’s interest in the building was that the floor plans she was following led her here and the name largely showing on it made of holographic display spells BIOGENETIC lab.


Taking careful time to study the building from a distance, while under cover, she noticed that there are just four guards around the building. Two are patrolling the fence surrounding it but outside its massive gates. Then the other two were in a small guard tower built over the wall. The two guards were behind a heavy duty lazer cannon. She brought up her weapon which was totally different from the standard issued ones the other marines were carrying.


It is a NOVA-AR/SR rifle. A hybrid gun that serves well as an assault rifle but can do better as a sniper rifle all you have to do is replace the shorter muzzle of the assault rifle with the longer one for the sniper then add a holo display sniper scope on the gun, you have an effective sniper gun. Jade did that in seconds, then brought up the rifle as well as activating its holo sniper scope. Putting the guards on the tower before the cross-hairs of the scope, she fired two quick shots, taking out two of them with single head shot each.


The uranium core of the sniper bullet cut through the armor covering of their helmets, blowing out their heads like deflated balloons. She brought the gun’s sight down immediately, seeking out the guards patrolling outside the wall who were already running for a cover as the sudden dropping of their colleagues from the guard house alerted them that something is wrong. Jade calmly targeted each of them and took them both out with two more shots. As they dropped, she pulled off the sniper muzzle from the gun then fix in the assault one as she won’t need a sniper rifle for the rest of her move.

An MTG- magnetic thermite grenade. It's a special kind of explosive use on heavily armored target that conventional explosives and rockets may find very difficult to deal with.


It has three layers. The outer layer is made of magnet that attach it self to the target. The second layer contains the aluminum and iron oxide, the exothermic material that will explode first with a bright flash hitting the target with extreme heat. The heat either weakens the target or create great stress on it. The inner and third layer contains the conventional explosive with tungsten steel balls coated with heat resistant alloy to protect them from the heat of the first explosion. This inner layer will explode after the first one, to damage the armored target already weaken by the heat from the first explosion.

Jade ran through an unfamiliar corridor alone as she left the marine group to battle the enemies as she had other more important things to do. She stopped at a junction with three other entryways added to the one she was coming through. One of them she was sure might lead to a maintenance tunnel that goes all the way to the surface. That’s not her goal. At the moment she admitted to herself that she is lost but that isn’t a problem. Having already anticipated this she had prepared against this even before requesting for the general to allow her join the first recon strike team.


A request that surprised Leyland but the marine general was used to getting strange requests from Earthwatch field agents. Spies tend to work solo on most of their missions, hence the surprise of Jade’s request.
While on her last underground work, she had stumbled on a building floor plan and schematics that made no sense to her at that moment but as a long time habit among spies that no information is useless. Some code she had seen on a grid pattern on the floor plan had piqued her interest and when the name Omiron 09 had come up, it had ringed a bell in her head. The strange code has been ON09.


She felt that data is possibly the floor plan of the whole of Omiron 09. She didn’t divulge this piece of information to the others because she wasn’t sure of it’s authenticity, because that ON09 can stand for anything. So her coming here will give her the opportunity to investigate on her own. Though the cyborg was tasked with the job of downloading the data stolen from Trans Terra tower, still nothing is wrong with her making an attempt on her own incase the cyborg failed.


Seeing she has literally come to a cross road it will be better to take a look at the floor plans again. Bringing out a data cube, she plugged it to a micro data reader she had attached to the utility belt on her combat armor uniform. The data reader is linked to the HUD display on her helmet. Bringing it up, she read through the plans and noting the similarities between it and what she has seen so far. She saw the data terminal that was the goal of cyborg and Marvel. Well she wouldn’t head that way. Another part of the asteroid has another equally valuable data terminal, which she can get to on her own.

But that one is somewhere in the BIOGENETIC lab. That gave her a little pause. She didn’t know that genetic experimentation was still going on here. Well you can’t put anything pass the mega corporations. Considering the massive failures they have had when genetically modifying and enhancing soldiers, they might have stopped it altogether. Seems they still have something like that going on here. Well she might find out the truth as she go along the way for her own personal data retrieval. She wasn’t expecting any serious opposition as the three part attacks hitting the asteroid at the same time will tax their security resources to the limit.

McCain was already by the ADMEC then and slapped his magnetic thermite grenade on the lower torso of the mechanical body, then rolled out of the way as the ADMEC swiveled suddenly with the claw arms. The joins of the shoulder mounted gun of the ADMEC whirred as it turned to target the fleeing marine. McCain already holding a silver dust magnesium grenade, activated it and threw it at the ADMEC. The grenade flashed with a sudden orange light and the ADMEC sensors went blind as the silver and magnesium dust disrupted them.


McCain was already behind a solid cover with some other marines. Taking a quick look for the other two marines who did the run with him all the while counting down the seconds to explosion. The marines like him had succeeded in attaching their grenade to the second ADMEC but one of them wasn’t so lucky as a sudden move by the ADMEC’s leg caught him while trying to run back to cover. He fell while the other ran for cover. The fallen marine turned quickly to face the ADMEC with his rifle on his hands, valiantly unleashing bolts after bolts of lazer fire which just bounced off the frame of the machine.


The ADMEC’s shoulder gun turned on him and lit up with a loud burp, as high impact rounds hammered on the downed marine. The armor cover of the camouflage suit took the hits at first, as bullets ricochet off it. But the sustained fire and almost point blank range cracked the armor and the marine was blown to bloody pieces of flesh and gore.


McCain looked away as the timer ringing in his head reached zero. A brilliant flashed, almost as white as the core of a sun burst from one of the ADMEC and a second flash followed after. The area around the ADMEC where the magnetic thermite grenade where clamped turned bright orange with intense heat. Just them three heavy explosions sounded. The other ADMEC that had two of the magnetic thermite grenade fixed on it had its parts ripped apart and it collapsed with a heavy crash. The one McCain attached his to had its torso torn open as armored plantings, wires and parts were vomited out but it remained on its feet staggering.


“All RPGs aim on them and fire. “ McCain screamed into the audio pick up of his helmet.
From all area of cover, the marines with the RPG rocket launchers turned their armed tubes on the damaged ADMECs and fired almost simultaneously. Several explosions hit the machines and blasted their body parts apart. Even the staggering ADMEC crashed down heavily as both it legs seared off from it. Hot flames surrounded the fallen ADMECs and a chest part of one pushed open as its pilot who was still alive struggled to climb out of the doomed machine.


Before anything could be done, both power cells on the ADMECs explodes one after the other completely annihilating the wreaked part of the ADMECs. Those marines not fully under cover were knocked off their feet. When the explosions were abated, the marines came out of their covers watching as the huge fire cackled engulfing the remains of the ADMECs carpeting the whole place with heat and a reddish orange hued glow.
