His mind was reeling at the pains wrecking his body. While preparing for another spell, he lifted his head and saw Achron watching him with a mocking smile. The Arc priest was taking leisurely steps towards him as if he no longer bother about anything. Mibazar felt the anger blazed in him afresh. Achron will be sorely surprised when he will discover that he is far from being defeated, this fight is not over. Mibazar still has a final trick that will shock that pompous and proud Arc priest, he is prepared to wipe that arrogant snort from his face. He knew his body was broken but that is hardly a problem. He had taught Khaufir the advance method of bodily tissue repair. The only difference was Khaufir had gotten addicted to that spell that in the end he was almost a zombified man, half dead and half alive. He will be almost impossible to kill. But as for Mibazar he didn’t sink that low yet still he can repair himself. He had stolen the secret from the white pages of Codex Sacratus, the holy book of the white hand coven whose unique ability is the creation of healing spells. While Mibazar can’t really generate healing spells, as any spell woven by the white hands are highly proscribed by those of the order of Nemphis priesthood, still he had learnt a thing or two from the basic principles. His hand glowing purple then turning dark, Mibazar closed his eyes in deep concentration, as he moved the hand covered in black circle of energy over his body. He felt his inner injuries healing and the broken bones mending. |
Thanks. Happy new month to you all . (How many people even remembered that last night was Halloween?) As of the baron.... Hmmmm let me not say much at this time till the story is over. Sorry for the lack of updates o, light has been a serious challenge. I was able to charge my tab yesterday. So I'm typing a little update at the moment. May update when I finish later. |
Ultimategeneral:Hahahahahahaha trust me the end result of the fight will shock eveeyone here.... I'm keeping that a secret. Infact that is the biggest secret of this whole story ![]() |
Two of the pillars within the place glowed and started to break. A section about the size of twice a man broke away and started to take on an anthropomorphic shape. Hands, legs and a round faceless head. The two stone man like shapes moved shabbily and headed for the high priest. Mibazar saw the two stone golem coming at he, with a wave of his hand, a long black solid energy lance hit both the stone golem, knocked them off their feet and they hit the ground with a huge resounding thud. As the two golem fell, other parts from the pillars broke off and began to form other golem. Mibazar knew he had to temporarily give his attention to the stone creatures because they only have the ability to penetrate his black nimbus. He directed the black energy construct to attack the golem. Black hands holding weapons attacked them and the golem fought back. There were clashes between stone weapons and black energy construct devices. The place shook and reverberated from the impacts but soon the stone golem began to crumble as the black constructs multiplied and started hitting the golem from all sides causing them to break into pieces. And those broken down did not get up again. Mibazar realized it was already too late. The few moments he had focused on the golem had given the Arc priest enough time to prepare the appropriate attack. He was right as Achron shot him from behind with a concentrated green light that knocked on the dark nimbus, it was halted a bit by the black circle but the continual blast broke the circle, and knocked the high priest off his feet and he smashed on one of the chair around the council table. Mibazar fell, with several bruises on his body bleeding red blood. As he tried to stand, he felt his feet give way under him having spin an ankle and he fell on the floor again. His breathing coming out in painful spurts reveals lung injuries and broken ribs. |
The Arc priest calmly started tracing invisible lines in the air that suddenly started appearing as glowing glyphs. As the written words rearranged and aligned then flashed and formed an energy weaved lines shield around him. The shield deflected the initial blows from the dark energy hands and weapons but that didn’t stop their attacks as they turned back and attacked again, the shield again blocked their attacks. “I’m actually getting impressed. Your dark matter manipulation is quite steady and potent. “ Achron laughed without any sign of mirth. “You really must have paid attention in class as this is one of the most difficult aspects of priesthood power to master.” “Well I think you need to be taken to class again. “ With the shield still on, he held his staff with one hand and ran the other hand over the jewel at the head. “Let me give you an instruction on matter transmutation. “ |
As soon as Mibazar’s feet touched the ground, his hand were already forming the signs for a complicated spell. Fierce wind blew like a cyclone round the priest drawing on intense cold creating hoary frost around the whirling breeze. With directions from the high priest, the almost icy wind around him moved in a circular motion to intercept the coming magma. There was a loud hiss and heavy steam when both the magma and icy wind met. Still the wind continued till the mage was frozen on its part through the air. Its move halted, it dropped to the ground and shattered into thousands of pieces of stones when it hit the floor. The whirling cyclone turned towards the Arc priest and started blowing round him until the Arc priest became encased in solid ice. Then the wind ceased. Just as soon as the wind stopped, the ice started to melt and form a dirty poodle around Achron’s feet when it all melted. The black nimbus around Mibazar glowed darker then expanded a bit from the high priest. With a little command, black energy construct started to appear from the black circle. The construct were in the shapes of giant hands holding swords, axes, mace with ball ends having spikes and a flail. The giant black hands obeying the command from Mibazar, the limbs elongated holding the weapons as they attacked the Arc priest. |
Mibazar gave no retort as he was busy meditating, preparing another spell. The air around the high priest darkened, it seems to ripple. The purple nimbus around him took on a darker shade and became black. Which completely enveloped him in a sphere cocoon of blackness. From the blackness long tendrils shot out and attacked the Arc priest. Achron quickly erected a shield of solid green energy which deflected the attacking black tendrils. The tendrils were knocked back but went up, twisting in a prehensile move, like a living creeper plant, the tendrils descended and attacked the Arc priest again, so fast and unexpected that he couldn’t throw up a shield to protect himself on time. The tendrils wrapped him, totally encapsulating him in tick black ropes of energy. The tendrils lifted him off the floor into the air. Sudden arcane words of power burst from the Arc priest despite being totally covered. As then a bright green light burst from him and the tendrils vanished under its intense blaze “That was a good one Mibazar, caught me off guard. “ The Arc priest said as he gently levitated to the floor. “You are turning out to became quite a challenge. “ Lifting his staff, he hit the head at the ground which caused the ground to cracked in an uneven line with green blaze showing from below the cracks. The cracks headed for Mibazar. As it got to him, the floor under the high priest exploded upward pushing the priest high into the air. Fiery magma like a volcano erupting shot up from the exploded area heading to the air where Mibazar was thrown. Mibazar still had the black nimbus surrounding him, which deflected the pieces of stones the explosion threw at him but he was unsure if same will protect him from the boiling magma coming across his way. Firstly he created a levitation spell to to help him float on the air so he can move swiftly away from the point the magma was headed . He flew high and to the side of the attacking semi liquid scalding rocks. But he suspected that might not be enough so he prepared another spell. He moved a little distance through the air and landed. The magma also changed direction, moving it followed the part he took through the air. |
♠ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♠ Energy cackled in the chamber bathing the whole place with the two different colors that represents the opposing forces. While the Arc priest was surrounded by a circle of emerald green energy giving off tendrils of lightning, Mibazar was surrounded by a purple nimbus of light, pulsing and blazing like the flames of a forge oven. Achron took up his staff and pointed it at the high priest, a flame colored light flashed at Mibazar which dissipated as it touched the purple nimbus. Mibazar brought his palms together and slowly drew them apart making a circle. Within the circlet churned a red colored flame rolling at great speed. He opened his palm immediately pointed at Achron. The red flames flew at the Arc priest, hitting repeatedly at the emerald circle surrounding him till the circle winked out and the flame hit him. It washed over his body till with a turning of his staff he manipulated the red flame turning it to create a vortex, rolling in the air before him. As he stopped turning the staff he pointed it at the high priest. The red flames was directed at him, as the flames got to him it hit the purple energy nimbus around him, circled it once then died off. “Unfortunately for you Mibazar, I know the secret of your red flames and its accompany poisoning, heard you taught that secret to your pathetic faithful lackey, Khaufir.” Achron said with a tight smile. “Your red flames can't hurt me, I can also control it. “ |
pnet22:Lol, the next updates isn't about trace at all, em but the titanic battle between the two of the most powerful men in the priesthood of Nemphis. It has already began... Just that light has became a limiting factor. |
After several turns, the stairs led to an iron door. The door showed signs of little use, several layers of dust and cobwebs lay across it. Thrace held down his breathing from the dust accumulating in his nostrils in other not to sneeze. “ Welcome to the entrance to the catacombs. “ Drawing the floating light ball closer, Thrace studied the surface of the door and lintels, which have several words in old hieroglyphics carved on them. He traced the words with his fingers, consulting the forbidden spell book pages for their interpretation and his hand stopping just before a curiously etched glyph. “Before opening this door, you should know that the catacombs is an old burial place for ancient leaders of the Nemphis priesthood. The air inside there is very thin and might be dangerous to breathe in. “ Facing the others, the light from the ball casting his face into deep sombre look. “But I learnt a simple transmutation spell that can change the harmful substances in the air to something harmless. “ He touched the last glyph, as the door slide open into the wall with a slow gritting sounds, Thrace started to speak the ancient language of the hieroglyphs written on the door and the forbidden spell book. |
“Of what use are you to us then? “ Jarrael’s voice was bitter. “Oh look on the bright side, if not for that shield, I’m sure at this time most of the city would have realized by now that a lot of things out of the ordinary are happening here. Which would have drawn in guards and other priest to come in here to investigate and apprehend us. “ Bringing out the map parchment he continued. “Just because I said we can’t go out the way we came in because of the shield, didn’t mean I said we can’t get out at all. “ The other three were looking at Thrace and the acolyte knew they were not in the mood for his levity right now, Jarrael might just cut him down without a second thought, the image of Jarrael’s scimitar pressing his neck was still visible in his mind. “Well according to the map on the parchment there is an obscured and little used route out of this temple leading beyond the city of dark tower. It is an ancient underground tunnel which is linked to the catacombs under the temple. “ He led them out of the wide hall with damaged walls were the battle had taken place, into a long dark passage. He created the floating light ball to provide illumination. Consulting the map he stopped at a particular door opening it shows a staircase leading down. As they got into the staircase, they noticed it was winding and twisted, curling like a snake round the trunk of a tree. “The shield is limited to just this tower alone I believe that going through this place will take us beyond its cover. It will also help us avoid detection. “ |
Gamba came with Thrace to where Jarrael and Khen were already standing after retrieving his twin axes, hanging them to his belt then holding the leather bag, tying it around him through the draw string. “How do we get out of here, Thrace? “ Jarrael asked. “That will be somewhat impossible at the moment. That priest had created a strong magical shield around the whole tower, that is keeping us in and others out. “ “Was thinking that now he Is dead, shouldn’t every spell he had set up collapse? “ Jarrael looked at the acolyte, his eyes having a mean stare. “Yes that is how it should be normally “ Thrace responded trying to look every where else except Jarrael’s face. "This time it wasn’t a direct spell he used but a magical object that created the shield and the only way to removed the shield is someone who knows the exact nature and properties of the magical object and the specific ways to negate it. Unfortunately I am not versed in clerical spells of the type employed by the priests of Nemphis. And the book gifted to me by Ruel, haven’t shown me yet how to do things like that. “ |
Thrace ran to Jarrael, winded and voice trembling. “I’m so sorry, about Meera. Saw what happened but was too powerless to stop it. I failed you and everyone else. “ “Where are the others? “ Jarrael asked coldly as if none of what he just heard mattered. “I think they are still alive. Though they may be seriously injured but I saw briefly when Meera was attending to them. “ Jarrael walked towards the direction he had previously noted they were while battling the Muk-Anolis. He saw Gamba stirring awake. “Master. “ he said slowly as his eyes opened and saw Jarrael standing before him. “Up on your feet Gamba. “ Jarrael said as he moved towards where Khen was but the Kyaki was already up before he got there. Looking around, Jarrael saw the trunk in which the relics are kept. “Gamba you and Thrace see to getting the relics and putting them on a more convenient means to transport. “ “Right away “ Thrace said and led the Hokunian to the trunk and was relieved to see that both the book and crystal were still in the trunk but they both appeared to have been taken and put back in. Anyway the most important thing is they are still here. He dipped his hand into the purse at his side after rummaging in it for a while, he came up with a leather bag with a draw string at the opening. He carefully put the huge tome book in it and the crystal then handed the bag to Gamba. The protective magic still surrounding the relics will still prevent Thrace from putting the relics in his magical purse. Their protective magic will resist the special space warping power of the purse. |
“ It is and get used to dying for real now. “ Jarrael said as he attacked the priest, slashing at him with the short sword. “This is for my sister. “ He slashed again and again, watching as with each cut of the blade black smoke was being sucked out of the priest into it, Khaufir staggering after every cut as if been hit by a smith’s hammer. Jarrael continued to cut at the priest as his anger blazed with such intensity as to rival that of the light from the sword. He couldn’t remember how many cuts he had delivered to the priest but when he stopped to look at his handiwork, the priest’s chest was a mess of multiple cuts all pouring out the black essence into the blade. The priest was heaving as if it was difficult for him to breath. Soon the black robes on his body began to disintegrate turning to black smoke swallowed by the blade. The black tattoos all over the priest’s body turned to smoke been sucked into the blade too along with the flesh they were written on. Jarrael knew that with time the whole of the priest will be sucked into the blade but he had not that patience. As he watched the face of the priest contorted into a visage of pains and his mouth open wide in silent scream, he slashed the sword at the priest neck, cutting the head off the shoulders. The head dropped with a dull thud and the body joining it later after standing still for a while. At the obvious demise of the priest, the head and decapitated body simply broke into pieces and turned into black smoke been sucked into the blade. Jarrael stood there for a long time unmoving even after all the dark essence of the priest had been sucked into the sword and its brightness had faded and the sword returning back to its former dull color and form. |
“It’s a Runebane, “ Jarrael replied as he came at the priest with the blade of light in his hand. “Something I think was specifically cooked up for snort nose like you. “ “No you cannot defeat me with that. “ “ Watch closely priest, as I demonstrate. “ Jarrael quoted what the priest had said earlier. As the priest hands glowed red again, Jarrael rememberd something he was told about the blade, it doesn’t protect its users from magical attacks but it can break down any magical wards or defenses. So he was already moving before the priest attacks. The Nemphis priest may have magic but Jarrael was faster. With quick reflexes and a dexterity years as a sword fighter had given him, he moved to the side of the lifted arms, with two quick cuts from the Runebane, the priest’s hand dropped from his arms, cleanly sliced from the wrist. As he watched the red flames that was about pouring out from the hands spurted as the severed hands dropped on the ground, glowed a dulled red then blackened to charcoal. But the blackened appendage started to turn to a black smokey ash that the Runebane started to draw into itself. “No, this can’t be happening. “ |
Jarrael had left the Runebane sword in its scabbard till very close to the priest, in a quick move, pulled out the sword and stabbed the priest through the back. The sword went in the flesh so easily like a hot blade through cold fat that Jarrael was initially surprised by the result. The blade pierced through the back and protrude at the front of the priest. The priest shuddered as Jarrael pulled out the blade and stepped back a bit. With a surprise, Jarrael saw that the short sword had became a thing of light, blazing bright and giving off brilliant illumination like a midday sun. Thrace threw a questioning gaze his way but all Jarrael could do was shrugged. Trembling, the priest touched the wound that had passed through his back and burst out of his chest with a surprise. The wound should have started to heal, but it wasn’t. As he pulled out his hand from the wound, instead of blood pouring out of the wounded flesh , black shadowy substance in form of thick grainy smoke was pouring out and seem to be sucked into that bright glowing sword. The priest felt tiny bits of energy leaving him as that continued. “What treachery is that? “ the priest asked anger clouding his words. |
Well if it's an anti magical blade, it may have better chance at inflicting damage on the priest that his scimitars. He was about pulling the sword out of its scabbard when he paused realizing that as a sword that is antithetical to magic pulling it out may announce its existence and proximity to the priest. If the priest hadn’t realize Jarrael possess such sword till now, something about the scabbard in which the sword is sheathed may be responsible. Well he could be wrong but why risk it? Thrace had recovered enough to start throwing up a better defense this time against the priest. As the renewed attack of lightning bolts hit, he was able to raise a magical shield that deflected them. The priest seem not to mind, he continued blasting at the shield with lightning, obviously enjoying it as a joke and weakening the acolyte more, to use up what ever strength he had gathered. Jarrael walked in silently behind the priest. “ I know you are behind me but you’re of no consequence to me. Await your turn, let me finish with your young mage friend then arrck… “ the last word ended in a short chocking sound. |
Jarrael’s anger blazed afresh but he felt powerless against such an adversary that just seem to shake off every attacks even the ones that should have killed ihim. Jarrael felt empty as his scimitars were not in his hands, the priest dropped them after the fireballs hit him. Jarrael looked around and saw where they were but the distance is too great for him to go for it and be back to attack again without drawing the attention of the priest. Even if he succeeded, as experience had shown him, his scimitars are useless against this priest. Still he had to do something. His hand went directly to his belt instinctively reaching for a throwing knife when he felt a bulge tied behind him on his belt. That was when he remembered what was there. It is the Runebane, the anti-rune sword, his sister had given to him saying it’s a gift from Ruel. Remembering his sister again, stabbed his heart with bitterness but that faded very quickly because this is not the time to grieve. Her sister had explained that the sword can negate any magic, well that should be what Ruel must have told her to tell him before giving him the sword. Jarrael hadn’t really show any interest in the short sword because it was ungainly, has an awkward balance in the hand while holding it. It was made with poor craftsmanship, everything about the sword made it a poor choice for a combat blade. |
“Jarrael duck! “ was a sudden shout he heard from his side, without a second thought, he left the scimitars been held by the priest, dropped down and rolled away from the priest as far as he can. While moving, he saw a spherical fiery shape the size of an apricot hurled at the priest, it exploding into a huge blaze that knocked the priest off his feet. Thrace stood up bringing his hand from his purse where he had brought out the fiery sphere. “ I call them fireballs, they are my personal inventions. “ He said. Two consecutive flaming spheres hit the priest again, each exploding and knocking Khaufir off his feet. The third one turned him into a flaming brand, all the time the priest body was engulfed in the flame. Still the priest stood up from his fallen position and the flame started to go off and the parts of his body that had been badly burnt began to heal as the flames died off. A sudden laugh filled their ears. “Try as you may fools, you cannot kill me, you don’t have what it takes. I have transcended death by your hands.“ Khaufir stood, his face grotesque as he laughed and took slow deliberate steps to the acolyte. “You are resilient I agree, a worthy challenge, that is why I want to kill you slowly and savor every moment of it as I drain you gradually of your power. “ |
Jarrael was shocked as one of the priest’s hand moved with equal speed as if having a life of its own, it grabbed the attacking scimitar midway to its intended target. Without a pause, Jarrael’s second scimitar came in but was caught same way too. “Effusive but foolish move, boy. “ The priest said, his darkly tattooed face ominous as his lips move and the eyes blazed with a purple colored gleam. “And yes I can see that your swords are ensorcelled and you are covered with a magical carapace underneath your clothes. These may have given you certain advantages over lesser me but against me, those are just toys that are pitiful as they are useless. Watch closely as I demonstrate. “ |
The priest’s only sign of feeling any pain was just the slight jerks of his body from the force of impact of the blades on him. Still the priest stood on his feet and turned to face Jarrael. Jarrael immediately knew something was wrong so was on a stance and prepared to move. “You insolent cur. “ were the words that announced the priest’s intentions and Jarrael was already moving out of the way before the priest raised his hand towards his direction. Flashes of lightning bolts flew from Khaufir’s hand directed atJarrael which he totally avoided as he was already moving before they struck. Jarrael rolled beneath the bolts towards the priest and as he got close to him he buried both scimitars into his stomach and cut out by the sides of the priest. A twin cut that was meant to slice the body of the priest into two with the upper torso falling off from the waist and legs. He rolled backwards to put a distance between him and the priest. He was surprised to see the priest still standing, the stomach sliced open, dark blood pouring out, entrails and bits of flesh hanging like tatters around the waist. The back bone should have been sliced into two and the upper torso dropped, but none of that happened. Instead as he watched, the hanging flesh began to fold on themselves, join, mend and healed so fast that had Jarrael blinked, he would have missed it. Just then before the next attack of the priest came he knew he had underestimated him. As he saw the priest hands glow red, he suspected what was about to happen and didn’t want any part of it. As he dived away to the side, red flames poured out from the priest hands. He already had a first hand experience what that crimson fires can do and that also killed his sister. As he moved, he was thinking of the best way to kill this priest. After successfully dodging other blasts of red flames, he raced at the priest before he could properly turn in the new direction Jarrael was attacking from, with blinding speed, Jarrael’s scimitar flashed as the blade headed for Khaufir’s neck for a decapitating blow. |
Guys there is this similarities I just discovered last night about Ruel and Achron. Please check them out and tell me what you think. When Jarrael first got into the office of Ruel in Zin, Ruel was having a staff with a green jewel at the top. Now check out the first time we were introduced to Achron, he was having a staff with a green jewel at the top too. Trust me I didn't do it deliberately, didn't even notice it till last night. So what do u guys think? ![]() |
Lifting up his eyes, he saw the priest continuing his onslaught on Thrace with a sustained barrage of lightning blasts that the acolyte was doing his best to protect himself from, raising shields which continues to breakdown after a while. Just then the darkness, gloominess and void that had laid hold on him burned away with the sudden flash of anger that blazed within Jarrael as he watched the accursed priest still alive and intending to kill another of his companions. He picked up his scimitars and ran at the priest his move as silent as a hunting sand cat. Khaufir was so intent on killing the acolyte that his senses didn’t pick up the movement of Jarrael until he attacked. Jarrael hands blurred in blinding speed as in the blink of an eye he had delivered several deadly cuts at the back of the priest. When he stopped his attack, the priest’s back was a mess of tattered robe and mangled flesh with the ribs and back bones showing. Black blood pouring out like fountains. Jarrael was sure at least one of his cut had severed the priest’s back bone, he shouldn’t still be standing. |
How long he stayed kneeling didn’t matter too him, nothing else does. The emptiness took over his heart. He felt himself drifting and falling into an abyss of darkness and desolation, all that is happening around him didn’t register anymore to his consciousness. His eyes filled with tears stare but see nothing but blackness. The void created by the suddenness of his sister’s passing seem to expand and consume him. He felt so helpless that the rage and desire for revenge diminished. There felt no need for him to go on living, life had become hollow, every good feeling he might have had meeting her again after loosing her for years turned to ash in his mind. His good memories of her seem to be fading and been swallowed up by the darkness and void taking over his soul though he clawed for them earnestly. As the darkness swallowed his mind and rendering him apathetic. The last words of his sister started going through his mind again… “promise me you will go on living… “ damn why had he even agreed to the promise without knowing what she will ask. Living is the last thing he felt like doing now. Right now he had wished a thousand times over that something can just consume him in a sudden flash and take him to oblivion. He had promised his sister and he will fulfill that promise. That is what Mer would have wanted, not him sitting down here wishing himself death and making himself a pitiful sight. Besides what right had the monster who turned his sister to ash to go on living? |
JohnGainsville:Yes o but there is something I didn't reveal, Meera knew she was going to die in this mission. As a matter of fact, it was part of an undisclosed discussion between her and Ruel before she left. She knew her death was inevitable if the mission must succeed. She accepted it but refused to tellJarrael about it. Though I will hint on this at the last part of this story |
Ultimategeneral:The story is part of the Ghemmaria Canticle. That was were the tale of how he was trained from a thief to a robber, a bandit, a mercenary and then to an assassin was told. |
selflessmaya:Sorry sir, as good as your advice is, you make it look as if the husband is the source or cause of his wife's behavior. The last solutions u proffer will not work, it will only make the man's life miserable because he will be a slave in his own home. He deserves happiness too. |
anishoff:Please I'm sorry to say this, really hoping u don't get offended... But this advice of "sit her down and talk to her" doesn't work most of the time. There are things you see in a relationship and you know it's way beyond redemption. It's clear from the Op's narrative that the lady really pretended. The first mistake he made was when he noticed a sudden and dangerous change in his yet to be wife 3days to the wedding, he should have ended the whole thing right there and then. Since he had gone to great extent in time past to avoid what he is about getting into, he should have broke off the wedding then, damn the consequences and have peace. The lady was definitely desperate for marriage so she went all out with her level of cover up and deception . She has heart and that kind of person can kill her husband if the opportunity presents itself. |
Hi, sorry guys for lack of updates, my device had been down for lack of electricity, I'm charging it presently, so I may type some updates later tonight or tomorrow, so new updates may come in much later tomorrow. While still in the mourning mood at Meera's passing and obviously, the MEMOIRS OF BLOOD AND STEEL is coming to an end, let me take this moment to hint on some of the projects I still have in mind to bring in here. (Though, I will be returning to MARVEL CHRONICLES 2 : EXECUTIVE SANCTION immediately I drop the last update on this story) Now to the new projects, I have actually 3 that are presently in my mind. 1. THE HOKUNIAN EDICTS 2. ARSENAL 3. PENANCE For the first one, as most of us that are fans of the MEMOIRS OF BLOOD AND STEEL would readily have guessed that this is probably a solo advanture of the negro giant Gamba, and you are definitely correct. So I intend doing a short story about Gamba (hopefully). But while thinking of that, I may do something about the untold tales of Meera (Lady Thorn), she had so many great adventures during her life time I know most of you guys will love. The second one ARSENAL is an action, science fiction and super hero combo genres. More like the Iron man in comics but slightly different. Well I'm still trying to decide if the setting should be modern day or futuristic. The third work, PENANCE is crime, action and a bit of super-heroes genres. If you know The Punisher in the comics, movies and Netflix series, you will have an idea how this character will be. So guys these are my next likely projects, what do you all think? You can also suggest something else you might probably want me to work on. Though I wish I can do a horror story, (probably an anthology), thinking of doing that with a female writer on Nairaland. Can't even remember her name now but I should be able to get it when I really need it. She seem to be good in describing torture scenes. Oh and let me also say I desire to do a collaboration with souloho19 on a present day action flick, I was impressed with his work on LAST GANG. I haven't mentioned that to him though, it is still a secret. So more comments from you all, let me know what you think. |
Guys I'm really sorry for what just happened, I have been thinking for a while how to post this part, but it just have to be done. If you really look at this story in retrospect, it will be clear that Meera's death was inevitable. I love Meera, she is an amazing character. A strong woman, A fighter and a great archer. Among the group, she is the only one that can go one on one with Jarrael in combat (trust me she can beat Khen in a fight). And she is the most dangerous among all of them, she is more deadly than her brother. But right from the beginning of the story, I know she had to die. I had tried to prolong her inevitable death as long as possible but it had to happen now close to the end of the story. I hate it that she had to die but I can't alter the story just to keep her from dying. The events here are just a small part in a much larger drama, you guys will understand it better at the end of the story. Well it's good we mourn her passing, she deserves it. Please o throw away your stones, I still like to keep on living. |
"Apollux stopped typing and ran out of the Thread into hinding afraid of the stones some Nairalanders will throw at him for the latest updates." |
“Oh you are such a sweet brother, always. But you already know I will. “ Looking at his brother’s face, she felt really sad and helpless at the pains and anguish there, knowing it was all for her. This is the first time after her slavery she had truly felt helpless. “Kez look at me and promise me. “ With the silent cry choking his voice, he replied. “I will do anything for you Mer. “ “Promise me you will go on living, you won’t allow my passing to ruin your life. You will be strong and keep going. “ Jarrael nodded his assent not trusting his voice to speak. “Don’t forget to go after Tarikh, for all he stole from us. “ “I will. “ Jarrael said, his face hardening but tears dropping down his eyes in a continues flow. “Funny though, seems the gods or fate or what ever rules the universe these days had ordained you to be a loner. Still I take seeing you again as a gift that I may not have deserved. “ A sudden spasm hit her as she coughed for a long time and her voice when she next spoke was in whispers. “Glad I had the time to seeing again and I’m happier spending my last moments in your hands. Still wished it may… “ her body stiffen suddenly. Looking at her Jarrael saw she had stopped moving, her breathing chest stilled and her eyes closed. He screamed, wailed, his heart felt like it was been torn apart. His body trembled with pains, impotent rage, loss and gloom. Her dead body was still and instead of getting cold, it was feeling warmer. The warmth from the body increased till it became hot, getting too hot like a boiling liquid. Still Jarrael held her. As the heat increased, her fair skin started to darken and before his eyes, the body became as black as charcoal. As the heat intensified, the blacked body cracked, broke down into pieces and turned to ash on his hands. |
