CHAPTER TWO Marvel felt his jaws itching and he was strongly compelled to pull up his hands and scratch but considering his situation, that is impossible. The lab guys at the facility where the micro surgery had been performed on his face had assured him that the temporal micro skin grafting won't itch him at all. That any irritation he will feel is a Phantom feedback. Well to Marvel, the itches certainly felt real and he would have gone on a crazy scratching escapades that will definitely have tore the artificial skin from his face. But for now, he had to silently bear it and compose himself so he doesn’t blow the operation he is presently undertaking Well the micro surgery had given Marvel a totally new look. He now have clean cut blond beard and short blond hair. His skin now much lighter than it usually is. He was putting on full plastisilk suit of bright yellow and white neorayon shirt. He is presently setting down at a table meant for four in one of the prestigious hotels in the city of Macau. The economic center of the planet Gemini, fourth planet orbiting the dwarf star Proxima Centauri. |
“Zin is far, but four months will give me more than enough time to get there and meet him. That is if you aren’t lying. “ “I swear that I speak the whole truth. “ “Will take your words for it now till I find it lacking then your heads comes off your neck.” Jarrael noticed an unsettled look on Ah’moud’s face. “Any more thing you want to add? “ “I’m not really sure of this but I noticed something odd about the man’s face when he gave me the information. Well I didn’t pay attention then, but thinking about it for now gives me a little concern. “ “And what will that be Ah’moud? “ “ When Ruel was giving me the information about Tarikh’s secret trip, it seems he knows I was going to pass that to you. If I’m to bet, I would say it seems Ruel knows who you are. “ Jarrael allowed the words to sink in with several possibilities swirling through his mind. “Well I will have to go find out, won’t I? “ He stood from the table and head for the door. “Be very careful when you get to Zin. Things may not be the way they appear. “ Ah’moud stood up and staggering walked towards Jarrael. “Developing sentiments now, are you Ah’moud? The herdsmen must have scared you really well. “ “Na, it’s not that. Their love handle didn’t hurt me much. “ he handed Jarrael the small knife. “In a way I do care about you. At least you are my best paying customer. “ |

Well I may just do a story in the future exclusively about the Afterlife prison ...or maybe open up the Marvel Chronicles franchise for any interested writer that want to do a story on the Afterlife. So what do u guys think? Emmmmm I know u guys are missing someone, don't worry, Marvel is coming at the beginning of my next update. |
As the system check was completed, the ship indicated to Simon that it was ready to go. Taking a look at the count down on the display from the metal ball, he saw it was in the danger level. Time to go. He activated the all ship intercom of the cruiser. “Every one be on a seat and strap your self in we are taking off. “ He powered on the cruiser’s thrusters, the space vehicle shot off from the deck of the Afterlife prison at a blinding speed. After some distance, Simon checked the cruiser’s multi displays, he focused on the one showing behind him. The silent image of the Afterlife’s massive size filled the screen. The ultra super HD image show the millions of stars twinkling in the background. As the count down on the metal ball’s display hit zero, a bright flash showed on the Afterlife. Several other bright flashes and explosions lighten different parts of the prison’s surface. The sights of the explosions on the surface of the Afterlife brought immerse joy to Simon but it was kind of subdued though because from the little he knows, the Afterlife was well built. Its cover is strong enough to withstand direct nuke explosion, so those explosives won’t really do serious damage to the prison. But he hoped they can do enough of a damage to cover their escape. Well his benefactor have shown to be someone who pays attention to details. Now here comes the things he hadn’t had time to think about since he was busy escaping. Who is the person springing him out of prison? If all he had seen is anything to go by, his benefactor must be a very powerful and influential person. And if the person is willing to go this far in bringing him out, then the expectations from Simon will be equally huge. Well it’s not time for him to bother himself about that, let him just enjoy the feeling of freedom for now. After some distance from the exploding prison, he engaged the FTL engine and the cruiser went into hyperspace. One thought still lingered in his mind, how he was going to take his sweet time and revenge on the pompous fool who caught him and handed his ass to the authorities the single person responsible for his Incarceration in the Afterlife: Marvel Alistar. |
“Stop gapping like brained bleeped buffoons, go in. “ Simon screamed at the inmates staring at him. He noticed as he ran in, all his squad leaders were around. At least that is still good. He got to the end of the tube access and a round door in the shape of the cylindrical form of the access tube opened and Simon stepped into a wide space he knew was the interior of the ship. The entrance space was wide enough to take more than three times the number of people with Simon. The door slide shut after the last person entered. Looking around some of the designs in the interior, Simon concluded that this should be a mid sized transport space cruiser. A wide door beyond the entrance area led to the space cruiser’s cabin. The cruiser have three decks for its cabins. Each deck’s cabin can seat up to two hundred people. Simon directed his squad leaders to arranged their squads and sub squads to sit on the pressurized chairs. He took a lift tube to the top cabin which leads into the cockpit of the ship. He allowed Icicle to go with him into the cockpit. Simon Omega noticed that the cruiser was already powered on and an auto pre flight system check was already running. He smiled, everything was set for his escape. He took the pilot seat and indicated that Icicle should occupy the co-pilot’s place. He toggle on the cruiser’s navigation system. He did a pre check and noticed a location was already pre locked into it like that man Cedric promised. He tried inputting a new destination but was rejected by the navigation system. Well he had to try anyway. |
Simon didn’t feel any pity for his fellow inmates that died, they were just too stupid. Of course he had known that many of them will be lost during the escape attempts. “C’mon shit for brains let’s go. “ When he arrived at the prearranged rendezvous point, he noticed some of the other squads were already waiting for him and few were just coming too. Some of them had fared far worse than his did. When he did a rough count, he noticed he still had over a hundred and fifty people with him. Well that is still good considering what they had to face getting this far. A heavy armored door was at the place of the rendezvous, it was locked but a continuous green light was blinking at a center panel. He got close to it and immediately a thin red light from the metal ball in his hand touched the green blinking light. It stopped blinking and a small panel slid apart. An electronic voice spoke next. “Both a finger print and voice recognition scan is required. “ Simon placed his right palm on the panel and spoke slowly, “Simon Omega. “ “Finger print and voice recognition accepted, access granted. “ The door slide downward this time and led into a cylindrical access tube similar to what is used when doing a ship to ship boarding. Simon noticed that as the door slid down all the doors leading to this area got locked immediately automatically sealing them in and locking out other security guards that will attempt pursuit. |
Simon Omega was with Icicle’s squad and sub-squad. They have taking positions behind some heavy metal table that have been over turned. They are in a wide circular hall that was like a convergence for five passages and doors. One of those doors is the one some of the prison guards were behind. Simon have directed Icicle to arrange her squad into ten positions to fire from. Each position should have one holding an RPG. The same arrangements he had given to his other three squad leaders to cover other entrances that will give the prison securities access to stop them as they move to their escape point. All eyes of the ex inmates were focused on the door they expected the prison guards to come in through. A dark panel at the top of the door had a light blinking red. But the red light turned orange and then green. Even before the door opened, Simon screamed “Fire! “ Multiple lazer fire hit the door and walls around it. As the door opens it spilled surprised security guards, who the looks of shock were still on their faces behind their helmets as they were cut down by the brutal concentration of fire. The guards at the front fell to the blistering fire storm, those behind were able to return fire, as their professional training and discipline took over. The return fire took out few of the inmates that weren’t properly under cover. As Simon noticed this, he called out, “RPGs! “ From ten different hidden points, grenades were launched from rocket tubes towards the door the prison guards were shooting from. It was a massacre. The grenades were a combination of explosives and shrapnel. Massive explosions that rocked the ears and shook the teeth filled the open space. The blast knocked off most of the guards, the others where torn apart by the super heated iron balls of the shrapnel. When the sound died down and the smoke cleared enough to see, the torn body parts of the guards filled the round room and the room behind the door were they were shooting from. Few ex inmates too were not spared. As some of the body parts mixed with the those of the uniform color of the prison guards, were the white uniform of the inmates. |
Ah’moud nods his head rapidly. “Of cause Jarrael, I would love to go on breathing. By Arl and all the holy ones, I promise to tell you all and holding nothing back.” “Swear not by the gods, Ah’moud, you should know they are no longer allowed to run the affairs of men. No god inhabits Ghemmaria now not for the past millennia, except maybe the snake queen of Gondola, who had to lower her self to a demigod in other to do that. So the gods won’t hear you to save you from me. “ Jarrael allowed that to sink in first. “So who is the source of that information? “ “I only know him as a rich merchant whose name is Ruel. He is definitely not from any of the southern lands, he has the skin type and hair color of a northerner. Though I know next to nothing about him apart from what he had told me about himself, despite all my personal underground effort to find out. But since all the information he had given to me are always accurate, I stopped bothering myself on who he really is. “ After a moment’s silence, Jarrael asked, “And where can I find this Ruel you are talking about? “ “Last I saw him, he was in Zin. He is staying with a very wealthy fishmonger over there. Ruel was trading in fishing nets, hooks, harpoons, wool, hide, skin and precious jewels. “ Ah’moud stopped for a while, winded. He indicated that Jarrael should hand over the wine jug to him. After taking a drink he continued. “From what he told me, he will stay there all through the fishing seasons for the guppy, chub and trout. He will buy them, dry and salt them before taking them up north to sell. He intends to stay there for another four full months. “ |
“Now this is interesting “, Jarrael casually pointed the small knife at Ah’moud’s direction. “When you were collecting the huge sum I paid you for the information, you gave the impression that you alone was the original source of it. “ “Oh I’m sorry for that. Was really desperate then. Was up to my neck deep in gambling expenses at the game houses in Aram. “ Ah’moud took the torn pieces of a cloth, used it to wipe the blood and sweat from his face. “I really needed your money. Was afraid if I told you the truth about the source of my information you may withdraw the payment. But with all honesty, I got it from a very reliable person. “ “It’s amazing that with all the debts you claimed was pressing on you, when I paid you, you did nothing to offset any of them but ran away with the money to another place to squander it. “ With a sigh, Jarrael threw the small knife at Ah’moud’s direction. “You deserve more than the herdsmen were about to do to you. “ Ah’moud’s almost dried face burst out with new sweat as he saw the hilt of the blade protruding on the bed with the blade sinking into the space between his laps just close to his pleasure point and jewels. He didn’t even see Jarrael move his hand. “I would gladly separate your head from your shoulders, hang it on a pole and give your body to the ever hungry buzzards of the desert. “ Jarrael let his elbows rest on both knees, putting his palms together and letting the joint palms stay on his lips. “Now what is holding me back from killing you is me wanting to know the person you got your information from. If you intend to remain alive, you will answer openly. No lies or half truths or omissions. Can you do that to stay alive? “ |
“By Arl, Dramir and Ashaera this is a most saddening episode. “ said Ah’moud gravely. “I have never known you to be chaste, so why call on the name of Arl, the father god. “ a cold smiled took an ominous shape on Jarrael’s face. “Well Dramir would have fit you but you have never openly admitted to being a thief, so you have not lot with the god of thieves. But my real surprise is you identifying with the snake queen goddess of the Gondolians. “ “Oh about that, I’m planning to go hide among them very soon to escape from my numerous enemies that seems to be popping up with more intensity these days, always bent on skinning me alive. “ “Ah’moud you can’t continue to owe people and not expect them to come after you. You may be able to escape them when you run to Gondola, the land of the snake people, but no where on Ghemmaria can hide you from me. “ Jarrael took the jug from him, put it back on the table. Sat down beside it, brought out a small throwing knife and began to twirl it between his fingers. His eyes cold, bore into Ah’moud’s own as he asked, “Your last chance to tell me the truth, why did you keep back part of the information from me? “ He trembled as he replied, making the sign of sincerity among the Amirians with the flat of the palm touching his forehead. “I swore to you on the graves of my ancestors that I told you everything I know. All I gave you was as I received them from a reliable source. But I did personally verified all the information with a discreet personal investigation before passing them to you. “ |
“I betrayed you and kept some important details from you? “ Ah’moud has an annoying habit of rephrasing questions asked to him and throwing it back at the source, especially when agitated. “Yes Ah’moud, care to throw more light on that before I loose my patience and just decide to simply finish what the herdsmen started. “ “But that Is impossible. “ Ah’moud said, his eyes pleading because he knows Jarrael never jokes. “I gave you every information I had. The time of Tarikh’s travel, where he will be staying during his time in Aram, the number of his personal royal guards. The room he will be sleeping in and his security and protection details. All these I verified for myself before handing them down to you. “ “All of them were accurate but one single important detail you left out. “ “I left our one detail? Pray sir, do tell which of them did I leave out? “ “You didn’t tell me that Tarikh will be having a priest of Nemphis with him? “ The room went deathly quiet after Jarrael's words. “A priest of Nemphis? “ has it been said by any other than Jarrael, Ah’moud would have called the person a liar. But knowing Jarrael, he never fool around with things like this. “Yes a black robed smelly breath tattooed faced stinking priest of Nemphis. “ Jarrael had been pacing when saying this, stopped and turned to his only audience. “That single detail made me miss my target. Made all my efforts a waste. Including the money I spent to purchase the information from you. “ |
“Oh thanks for saving my life Jarrael. Getting beaten and almost tortured to death is a very exhausting and thirsty affair. “ Ah’moud spoke excitedly as if not hearing anything Jarrael just said. His words sounded wheezing and each sentence seem to end in a hiss. Jarrael cut the twine that held him bound to the chair but pushed him back to the seat as he tried to get up. “Well if you won’t let me get up at least get me the jug of wine on that table, my throat is patched and soon I may not be able to speak. “ he pointed at a silver jug on the table. Jarrael handed over the jug to him, after taking two huge swig, he cleared his lips with the back of his hand. “So to what do I owe this sudden but most grateful visit? “ “You lied to me about the information given to me concerning Tarikh's secret trip to Aram. You didn’t tell me everything. “ Jarrael said slowly as he moved one of the bleeding dead body of a herdsman aside. “I didn’t tell you everything? “ Ah’moud asked in shock. “Yes, you betrayed me and kept some important details from me. “ |
Fear gripped the bleeding herdsman. Jarrael hit his head with a round kick to the side of the head by the ear. The kicked knocked the herdsman back some feet as he crashed into a wall. He passed out. Looking at the remaining one, Jarrael saw that the pains he was passing through have been over taken by the superstitious fear that is ingrained into his being. The dread of the fearsome assassins. Jarrael smacked his neck with the flat edge of his palm but pulled back a bit on the strike so it wouldn’t kill the herdsman, a sudden shock stole the wind from him. He dropped down and lied still. Anyway they became harmless to him the moment they knew he is a black robe. They being kept alive will serve to use them to spread the story than an Al-hujinn is in their neighborhood, others will learn to avoid him. Ah’moud was panting, sweating and dripping blood. Jarrael could see the marks of the desperate attempts he had just made to escape while he was busy disposing the herdsmen. The twine that was used to tie him to the chair have made serious cuts on this arms. “You are going nowhere sniveling back stabbing dolt. “ Jarrael said as he came before Ah’moud looking at the pitiful sight. |
The remaining two herdsmen now looked at Jarrael as he slowly faced them one of his scimitars dripping blood, with fear dominating their features. This time Jarrael attacked. They brought up their tulwars in a pitiful attempt to parry the scimitars, but a simple flick of his wrist, Jarrael’s blade slide through the edge of a tulwar and inflicted a deep cut on the hand holding it. The herdsman screamed and dropped his blade. Jarrael parried the other sword strike the second herdsman threw at him. Jarrael kicked out with his foot, and smashed at the delicate flesh between the joints of both legs by the solar plexus. The herdsman was so gripped by pains he couldn’t even scream, his mouth was just frozen in a wide O. He faced the other herdsman who had dropped his sword, cradling his bleeding arm. As he got to him, he spoke in the dialect of the herdsmen. “Wallu Ibn su Al-hujinn ibn na sayak. “ I’m one of your enemy one of the Al-Hu jinn. |
Jarrael moved with the speed of a jungle panther and the fluidity of an air serpent. His mind was already in tune with the sword dance of Kief. His Enri and Nam clear and visualizing the likely steps of his assailant. Those few who had been privileged to watch the sword dance of Kief in action and live to tell tales about it have maintained that the Kief gives the user a kind of precognition. But Jarrael knows, it is all about skills been developed to understand your enemy and predict his moves accurately during conflict. Two of the herdsmen came at him at once while the third hanged back to cover them. Jarrael’s hands moved with breathtaking speed as he parried the sword strokes sent at him. The clashing of swords ringing in the room. He moved at a somersault, heading for the third herdsmen. His feet swing out in a circle, knocking the man off his feet. As the herdsmen fell heavily to the ground, Jarrael scimitar followed him. The keen edge of the blade pierced his chest at the left side, cutting through the ribs and punching the heart and lungs. Death was instantaneous for the fallen herdsmen. |
A sudden bark of laugh was the herdsman response. “ And do you plan to stop us honored sir? “ Jarrael said nothing, he just looked at them with his cold stare. Ah’moud cried out suddenly but was cut short when the smallest of the herdsmen slammed his jaw savagely with a backhand. Then turning to the three other herdsmen, he said something in their language too fast for Jarrael to catch. At a blur, Jarrael flicked his right hand and just like magic, a small knife travel the short intervening space between him and the herdsmen, the sharp blade hitting the smallest of them on the forehead and sinking deep into the skull till the hilt. He was stopped in mid speech as his eyes rolled up to the protruding part of the blade on his forehead with sudden shock and surprise before he blanked out, dropping suddenly on the floor, he twitched a bit then went still. Cries of shock and anger spilled from the other three herdsmen as they turned to face Jarrael who was already taking a fighting stance with his twin scimitars clenched on tight fists. The herdsmen also drew their tulwars, raised them above their heads, with curses and battle cries spewing from their lips, they charged at Jarrael. meneski |
Jarrael almost smiled openly when he heard the word Al-hujinn, the word means The desert sprite or dark ghost or apparition or the dust dæmon. That is the name the herdsmen have given to their ancient tormentors, the Black Robe assassins. One of the three huge ones replied. “I don’t think he really is an Al-hujinn, the Al-hujinn doesn’t let you see them when they come for you. He may dress like one but he doesn’t act like one. “ Turning to Jarrael with an ugly smile on his face due to a long scar that had cloven his nose into two, starting from just below his left eye to the top of his right lip, the smallest of the four spoke in well cultured general language of the Ghemmaria kingdoms. “Who might you be honored sir? I will want you to know you are interrupting an important proceeding. “ He leaked the blood dripping from his knife with his tongue. Jarrael wasn’t in the mood for civilities. “I want the man you are torturing, he is owing me and I’m here to collect. “ “Oh that Is quite understandable honored sir. “ the smaller man replied pleasantly. “You see he owes us too and we are here to collect also. But seeing as we came before you, it will be well and nice to wait your turn for collection.” “At the rate you’re going, the fool will be dead before you’re through collecting. “ Jarrael yelled at the speaker. “You are quite correct honored sir. “ the herdsman smiled more, showing dark brown teeth with several missing pieces. “After collecting the money from him, I intend to removed his heart and liver. His heart goes to the one who sent us. And the liver… ah one weakness of mine, I can't resist the call to chew on the liver of my enemies. So after doing that to him, then you can collect your debt from the remains. “ “I won’t let you do that. “Jarrael growled slowly. |
Ah’moud is a small statured man, having bulging jaws and stomach that are beginning to show signs of protruding. He has well trimmed mustache and beard . He was wearing a green colored small turban with a gold fastened to it above his forehead. The clothes on his body was white but have received several cuts which also bleed his skin staining the white silk clothes red. A harem silk white pant covered his waist and legs clasp at the ankles with gold bands. On his feet are soft curled toe leather shoes of an expensive make. Jarrael realized that the wail he just heard now came from Ah’moud, seeing the bloody lips and lacerated chest, it was obvious he was been tortured by the four. Ah’moud hands and chest were tied to the only chair in the room. He initially was panting heavily, sweat and blood staining his body and clothes but his eyes brighten as Jarrael barged in. The smallest of the four overcame his initial surprise and spoke in a guttural voice to the other three. Jarrael know enough of the herdsmen native language to understand what he was saying. “Who is this fool dressed like an Al-hujinn to interrupt us without fear? “ |
Kicking the door inward, he got the attention of everyone in the room. The room was brightly lit from the sunlight coming in through the wide window. It has a bed, a chair and a smell well crafted wooden table having a lamp that was off. Five people where in the room, four of them were unfamiliar to him. They were all dressed in the loose fitting silk brown garments of the Amirian desert herdsmen with wide sleeves. Plain color with heavy embroidery on the chest and sleeves. All four were putting on wide round turbans of the same materials with their garments and a longer part dangling from their shoulders used to cover the nose and mouth during their desert travel. The four men were all armed with tulwar and small knives, the feet encased in heavy sandals completely covered in dust. Three of them were huge, two out of them heavily muscled, but the third is fat with big bulging stomach. The fourth was smaller in height and extremely slim. All four have dark bushy beards, hawk nose and fierce eyes. While the three were all standing at different easy postures , the fourth, the smallest amount them was holding a small knife that was dripping with blood. His other hand was holding the neck of the fifth man in the room. This one Jarrael recognized, for this is the one whom he seek, Ah’moud. |
Lol.... Chairman don talk oya every body come start to comment o. . ![]() |
. He wrapped two bandoliers across his chest heavily laden with spare ammunition for the two rifles he is holding. A belt on his waist with extra pouches were some grenades where kept. Turning to the almost armed group of several hundreds of freed inmates, he spoke with his deep restored strong voice. “Now listen up all you stinking mongrels, I am the one responsible for your freedom from your cells and make no mistake, I own all your asses. We haven’t escape yet, there are still some prison securities to deal with hence the guns in your hands. If you want to get off this prison, you will earn it by fighting your way through. Now besides that, I only know the way out of this place, so if you want to get out, you have to obey my orders without questions or you can as well go back and sleep in your cells. These four, “ he pointed to the first people he rescued standing behind him, “Are my squad leaders. I give them the orders, they pass down the orders to you and you carry out the orders. Any objections? “ Looking round the quiet crowd that were all looking at him expectantly, seeing no one ready to contend with him, he went on. “Ok, so since non of you shit brains don’t see it wise to go against me, we will divide you into squads and sub-squads. Lock and load people, we are about to go kick some serious butts. Who is with me? “ the respond from the crowd that filled both directions of the passage and little armory hall was deafening. |
When the rendezvous took place, Simon noticed that they have about several hundreds of freed active prisoners with him. Very few of them were armed with captured weapons. Well all that is about to change. He gave an order that all should follow him. One of the reasons it was necessary for them all to be armed is that the route to the escape transport is through one of the doors already filled with prison guards waiting to get in. So they will have to go through a tough gauntlet to get their freedom. At the door to the armory, the face, retina and finger scanner ran through Simon. After few seconds of tensed silence within the durasteel passage packed full of escaped inmates, the door opened. It was an anarchist dream. There were rows and rows of lazer rifle, racked in well precise order. Boxes of ammunition, grenades and smart mines. Simon smiled at his four lieutenants and all he could say was, “Christmas came early. “ Taking one of the refile, he examined it, it was a standard issued carbine for paramilitary outfits. An MG-CAB 500 lazer rifle, not as powerful as the heavy full assault lazer pulse rifles but still packs enough punch to do the job. Among the weapons, he also saw RPGs, the TEC 1 and TEC 2 single shot grenade launches. Well still better than nothing. The ammo for them are just the high explosive HE and shrapnel SH grenades. Simon directed his lieutenants to distribute the weapons quickly, they were running out of time. |
When he got where he was directed to, he noticed it was a whorehouse. A two story building made of published sand stone, with few trees planted by both sides of the road leading to it. A perfect cover for the scantily dressed whores to have a shade from the sun light and still display their bodies to attract potential clients. The breeze blowing in the town of Mhekila was moist, cooler unlike the dry and dusty air of the open desert he had been inhaling. Just behind the whole house that was his destination was a small market, which the smell coming from that angle already gave him the idea of what the market was about. The heavy smell of fish in the air came from the market. And beyond the market, Jarrael could see the glints of the waning sunlight of the Dragon Eye lake. After making his way through the whores, trinkets peddlers and beggars before the building, he stepped in by the door. Ignoring the call of the manager of the whorehouse who was sitting on a stool at the entrance while attending to two prominent guests. When Jarrael ignored his repeated calls , the manager shrugged and went back to attending to his guests. Jarrael ran quickly through the short steps, got to the second floor of the story and sort the room he was directed to. He was in a dimly lit passage, quiet except from some low droning noise he heard coming from a door to the left side of the passage. The door was left ajar and Jarrael realized that was the room he was directed to. A loud wail from the door spun Jarrael to hasten his move to the door. |
Meanwhile Red Mane faced the second guard as he staggered to his feet. He smashed the face of the guard with the stun rod on his hand not caring to use the stun charge on it. The stun rod smashed through the reinforced glass of the visor of the guard’s helmet. The blow was so hard that the force of the impact shattered the hardened glass and cave in the armored metal of the helmet crushing the skull of the head within and scattering the brain matter behind the twitching guards. Red Mane shook the stun rod out of the hole that now took the place of the guard’s head in the helmet. He turned to the others and smiled when he saw everyone openly spellbound by his level of strength. Simon noted that while the bulk of the prison guards and securities were locked out, few of them who were within the prison wards doing routine patrols when the blackout happened , are still around. Though they may be a bit worried about the power outage, they won’t be expecting to meet freed prisoners who are ready to attack them been already used to handling prisoners in their slow wit mode that the forced conditioning the prison have put on them. That is one advantage Simon and his followers will have and he pointed this out to them before ordering them to begin after distributing the captured weapons among them. |
As for Jummila nothing much is known about her childhood other than she was an orphan whose parents died when she was still very young. She had been taken from one foster family to another. She was raised finally by a brutal crime boss Huga, who always sexually molest her and groomed her up in a life of crime. Huga made her a killer enforcer. The odd thing is the sexual assault she suffered from Huga didn’t make her hate him, as a matter of fact, it made Jummila idolize her crime god father but took out the anger she must have felt from the numerous sexual abuse on others. Jummila was an angry killer. She was that way till her boss' criminal organization ended and he was killed. She was arrested, tried and sentence to imprisonment at the Afterlife. Jummila was a dark skinned beauty with flashing eyes and teeth. Her favorite weapon of choice back then was a stiletto. With these four with him, he knew his job just got way easier. He gave them instructions, distributed the tablets from the stash in the bags to each one of them. He stressed the limited time they have. He didn’t give them the direction to the armory but told them where to meet with him after the job is done. While speaking, two security guards strolled into the little gathering Simon was having . The guards where as shocked to see them as they were. But a huge red and bushy blur jumped from them to the middle of the guards while they were still in the act of unlimbering their lazer rifles. Red Mane knocked both of them down. He quickly use his left fist to jerked one of the guard up from his fallen position, holding him by the neck, he threw the guard backwards to where the others were standing. As if initially planned, Uthega caught the flying guard with his hand, crushed him to his body in a tight bear hug, with several loud popping sounds of cracking bones heard from the body of the guard. When Uthega released him, the guard fell on the floor like a boneless sack of flesh. |

Jummila was an angry killer. She was that way till her boss' criminal organization ended and he was killed. She was arrested, tried and sentence to imprisonment at the Afterlife. Jummila is a dark skinned beauty with flashing eyes and teeth. He quickly used his left fist to jerked one of the guard up from his fallen position, holding him by the neck, he threw the guard backwards to where the others were standing. As if initially planned, Uthega caught the flying guard with his hand, crushed him to his body in a tight bear hug, with several loud popping sounds of cracking bones heard from the body of the guard. When Uthega released him, the guard fell on the floor like a boneless sack of flesh. |
Simon gave him the stun rod and took the hand gun on his right hand following the holo map to locate his next target. He needs to get inmates that have the capacity to lead. He will free them first and use them as his lieutenants to control the rest of his pack. The next on his list is a female named Icicle. A very dangerous woman with white skin that was a result of a poor skin perfecting procedure performed by a quack micro surgeon. The effect from it was a white skin and silver coloured hair. She was formerly a well known fashion model. But the procedure seem not to only have changed her skin but also her mind, she became homicidal after that. Became a serial killer, that kills her victims, put them in a freezer cube then literally turns them to ice statues she keeps as display in her room. At the time of her arrest, one hundred and thirteen ice statues were found in her house each put on a pedestal and displayed like an exquisite work of art. She was just sitting down quietly on her bed with her jaw resting on her palm. When Simon put the pill in her mouth, she swallowed. The only visible change on her facial features was that her eyes lost that far away look and stared with fiery intensity. She stood up, took some steps toward Simon. When she got to him, she slowly threw her hands round him and planted a kiss on his cheek. “Thanks for bringing me out of this. “ she whispered into his ears. Next Simon went for Uthega and Jummila, both were former athletes. Uthega is a heavily muscled giant as tall as Red Mane. Where Red Mane was hairy and Red, Uthega is black and muscled. He was a former gravity boxer. Gravity boxers fight within a ring where an artificial gravity is place and the setting on it increases the weight of the contestants. Each round you win leads to another with the gravity level increased. This had induced on all gravity boxers heavy and dense muscles. Uthega was a well celebrated champion until an investigation had shown he had done illegal muscular enhancements, he was stripped of his title and disgraced. But the investigation wasn’t random, it was brought about by his former manager whom he fired over a disagreement. The manager had revealed his secret to the authorities. Out of anger, Uthega had gone after him, killed the manager, his pregnant wife and a five year old son. The ex gravity boxer was jailed for life imprisonment because of his wealth and influence. But it had cost him a lot to have later reduced the life sentence to few years. When he got out of prison, he was broke and bankrupt. That led him to join a group of space pirates. He was later caught and most of his pirate colleagues where killed. |
Simon flicked the display back to the map, he now noticed a count down timer displaying at the top right corner of the holo map. It reminded him of the explosives Cedric told him were already planted at specific areas of the prison. So anyway he looks at it he have very limited time. The Afterlife prison has more than eight thousand inmates at anytime which makes the deciding who to pick from this list somewhat problematic. And he is sure his best effort can only spring out a couple of hundreds. Well let him just start and see where he will stop. The first person he decided to spring out was the infamous Red Mane. A man that is considered a giant almost seven feet tall of raw unbridled muscles. His crime was murder and cannibalism, he tends to kill and snack on his victims. He has very busy red colored hairs and beards that circled his face like a lion’s mane, hence his name. When Simon got to his cell, the door was open and Red Mane was just sitting down, staring into nothingness and mumbling incoherent words. Damn the psycho dampening must have affected Red Mane worse than it did him. Look at him just sitting there like a fool, his prison door open and no single thought of escape crossing his mind. Well he hoped that will change soon. Simon grabbed the hair and pulled drawing his face up and squeezing one of the pills into his mouth. Red Mane roared as the pills took effect. “Welcome back to reality Red Mane. “ Simon said taking a few steps back from the unpredictable form. “I’m Simon Omega, I’m the one leading you out of this joint. So you have to follow me if you want to make it out. “ “Simon Omega, yes I have heard of you. “ Red Mane said his voice hoarse and loud at the same time. “You can lead I’ll follow. “ “Here take this. “ Simon offered him the lazer pistol. “No I prefer that one. “ Red Mane pointed at the stun rod. “It’s more direct and personal. “ |
Sorry for the several repetition... I think it has to do with several of my updates that were deleted earlier coming back on. More updates coming soon |
Seems the issue have been rectified so let me fire on.... ![]() Loading... When he got to where the holo map indicated that the pills where stashed, he noticed the door to it was locked. But as soon as he got there, green light from a retina pattern pick up scanner came on, flashed on his eyes and the door slide back. He saw the stash was in a duraplast backpack. He hung it on his back and turned back towards the open prison doors. Something struck him as odd, since there is a power outage and all doors are open, this whole place should be crawling with guards trying to keep the prisoners in check but strangely the place have been as good as virtually free of guards, not as if he didn’t like it that way but it is very odd. He decided to look through the map again. He spoke to the metal ball in his hand hoping the device have speech recognition ability. “Show me visual of prison security. “ in place of the holo map, a 3D holo vid came on. Flicking through several of them, he discovered that the blackout didn’t affect the whole of the Afterlife prison, just the areas some of the prisoners are kept. While some doors that the guards use in accessing several of the prison areas where locked. When the alarm that there is massive power failure in areas of the holding cells, the guards found themselves locked out of the area. Simon smiled at this. It shows that the people behind the planning of this escape paid attention and took care of every detail. But taking a closer look at the images he saw that the guards gathered at each door were working frantically to open the doors, which they may succeed doing soon. |
Loading.... Searching the guard, he saw a lazer hand gun, a stun grenade and a stun rod. Simon quickly unbuckled the guard’s belt and slapped it on his waist. It held the holster containing the lazer gun and the stun grenade. He held the stun rod on his right and the ball with the holo map on his left. The stun rod’s setting was on the lowest but Simon moved it to the highest stun setting. That setting will induce instant paralysis on any one touch by the sizzling electric discharge area at the top of the stun rod. Still the stun rod was made from dense alusteel, he can still smash it on someone with sufficient force to kill. *Hope this won't get deleted again* |
Jarrael felt a tightness in his chest because of his late arrival and prayed the fool he had taken all the risk to find is still around. Feeling the horse staggering a bit with each step and sweat leaking from it’s pores, he know that the strong stallion will need a whole day or two of rest before it can embark on another hard riding. Still the stallion have really served its purpose. Getting to an inn, he handed the horse to a groom and dropped some copper coins with him to have his horse well tended. He sort out the gambling parlor where he heard Ah’moud was spending his days and fortune. The streets of Mhekila was like that of any other town, no particular order to them. The houses where of polished sand stones and bricks made from the mud obtained from the shores of the Dragon Eye lake. Mhekila, like the other towns around the lake was a fishing town, the reek of fish was ever present in the air. While searching for the gambling palor, Jarrael had passed by a fishing bazaar which seem to be the source of the fish smell covering the whole town. The noise from the small market was as deafening as one in any large city. Traders from most of the southern countries were there. He was not too surprised to see Hathran horse traders here too. At the gambling parlor, Jarrael was informed that Ah’moud just left few minutes before he arrived in the company of four men. He felt his stomach churn allowing several possibilities to cross his mind. He had to part with five copper coins before the new place where his quarry is was shown to him. |
