Remember my definition of Political 419: not the criminal offence, but my satirical term for attempting to obtain political credibility, public trust and ultimately electoral support through factual representations that fail documentary verification.

So let us examine the representation- Representation usually preceeds the OBTAINING in 419 scams.
Peter Obi says that shortly before leaving office as Anambra governor, his administration received ₦2 billion for the Oko/Umuchiana erosion crisis. According to Obi, he refused to spend it and left the money “100 per cent intact” in First Bank.

Then he supplied the account number: 2018779464. Balance? Over ₦2.13 billion. And then came the political equivalent of putting your credibility on the examination table: “If anybody can establish anything to the contrary, I will stop campaigning.”

Ah. This was no longer “trust me.” This was: GO TO THE BANK. And somebody apparently did.

The Anambra State Government says it obtained a certified printout of that exact account from inception to date. Its claim is explosive.

According to Commissioner Law Mefor, the account was actually an IGR Consolidated Revenue Account, not an ecological-fund account—and from its opening in 2011, the claimed ₦2.13 billion appeared neither as an inflow nor as a balance.

But Peter Obi now has a spectacularly simple problem.

HE NAMED THE BANK. HE NAMED THE ACCOUNT. HE NAMED THE AMOUNT. HE INVITED VERIFICATION.

The Obidients should forget the insults. Peter Obi has been caught in a blatant LIE.

The Aba Trader shenanigan of the Political 419 salesman may finally have caught up with him. If Obi has a modicum of honour, integrity and respect for the standard of verification he himself imposed, he should either release a contrary receipt or do exactly what he imposed on himself: STOP CAMPAIGNING.

The lie may travel around the world while the truth is still putting on its shoes, but eventually the bank statement arrives.

Time and time again, Atiku has demonstrated posturing that signals detachment from national happenings.

1. Atiku once said he would make his friends rich because his friends are entitled to be rich.

2. Atiku admitted to collecting money from Obasanjo and paying power sector contractors 100% and Atiku did not do anything after they ran away.

3. Tinubu is paying pension obligations to NITEL workers after the bungled privatization by the chairman of privatization council: Atiku!

4. Obasanjo and Atiku paid $12.4 billion to get debt relief. Nigeria had no pressing need for that money in Atiku's thinking.

5. From 1999 to 2007, Obasanjo and Atiku wasted $60 billion to keep the exchange rate low. Jonathan and Buhari spent a combined $270 billion defending the naira. Atiku and Obasanjo failed to address fundamental structural problems which could have stabilized the exchange rate. They postponed economic doom which Tinubu had the courage to address. Tinubu has spent $0 defending the naira!

6. Buhari closed the border to tackle smuggling, boost local production, tackle flow of illegal weapons from the Sahel, and keep our people safe. When these issues started making gains, Tinubu re-opened the borders, but with increased patrol for border security. Atiku now wants to open borders that are open.

7. Atiku will soon promise to release someone serving jail term in Sokoto.

I’m not a supporter of any politician, frankly all of them are cut from same cloth. But to say President Tinubu has spent $0 in defending or stabilizing the naira is not true. Do a proper research
