favor914:Since Coastal tourism is your reason why a Coastal road should be built, please remind us how much Barbeach generated in tourism revenue b4 it was demolished or whatever?.. Or wasn't it "coastal enough" And what and what exactly is tourism worthy in Nigeria's Coast? |
motymop:If you read my initial comment, you will see I do not care about Landmark.. My issue is with the entire necessity of a "coastal highway" at the nation's present dire conditions.. It's absolutely idiotic putting the cart before the horse..Address security challenges in the country , and tourism will rise by itself... A "Coastal highway" when these issues have not been addressed is beyond reckelessness.. It's pure witchcraft Citizens are being murdered and kidnapped daily on the existing highways, yet na coastal highway una dey find so that tourist foreigners can also be kidnapped and murdered?.. Aside that sef, what exactly is there to tour in Nigeria's Coast? You wey be Nigerian, tell us wetin dey tourism worthy in Nigeria's Coast |
favor914:Attack the argument, not the person But considering thuggery is your tribe's favorite occupation, I am not shocked... These are the simple question that you and your ilk have refused to answer.. 1. Does the present security situation in the country encourage any sort of tourism, coastal or not, highway or intra-state? 2. What exactly are the attractions in Nigeria's Coast that's worth building a 700+km Coastal Highway to see so much? 3. If Coastal Tourism is or has the potential to be such a big thing in naija, how much have Barbeach and other ocean-side beaches in Nigeria generated in revenue since inception, aside being a hotbed of Celestial Churches, drunkards, prostitutes and ritialists? ... Or is it that all those beaches are not "coastal" enough? That's how your kind hyped the Tourism revenue generation capacity of Tinapa Resort, only for it to be end up being the graveyard of waste it presently is... |
favor914:Barbeach and other beaches have been there for a while.. How much revenue have they realized via tourism?.. Abi dem no near the Atlantic enough? .. Abi it is only when there is a coastal road from Lagos to Birnin-Kebbi that the tourism potential in Nigeria's Coast will suddenly jump out? Or is it the same coast of which most of it has been sandfilled and developed by Lagos State that will suddenly be un-sandfilled so that foreigners can jet-ski and sun-bath? ![]() In fact, let me even ask you, after Lagos State, which and which parts of Nigeria have Ocean-side beaches that will be along that your useless highway? |
CommonSense1967:It's obvious you are unwell or very insistent on supporting rubbish Do all those places you mentioned have the same security challenges bedevilling Nigeria presently? .... What exactly is the attraction in Nigeria's coast that would make foreigners troop in there? For Nigerians, what's in that Coastal road that can't be found in existing road networks? |
And here was I thinking that he laid hands on himself and prophesied the overweight fat out of his body ![]() So the "Signs and Wonders" he and his father perform on their sheeple doesn't work on him, or he doesn't trust the dose of spiritual medicine he gives to his church members? Fvcking hypocritical clown |
CommonSense1967:With all due disrespect intended , you are very unwise.. If na road dey bring more tourism and international standard hotels, how much tourism and International standard hotels have sprung up on the Lagos Ibadan express, Benin Ore express, and existing highways in the country? Same existing highways are currently a haven for armed robbers, kidnappers and murderers, with many countries issuing travel advisories against travelling to most parts of Nigeria. Instead of the government to invest in making the present road network better and safer, it is instead squandering money on a white elephant coastal highway? .. Please what exactly is there to tour in Nigeria's coast that warrants such a highway.. What can't the existing highways do that a "Coastal highway" can? |
Femi Falana SAN said in a recent interview that: "A portion of the Kogi state High Court Judgment made in Yahaya Bello's case stated very clearly that it was made ‘without prejudice to the power of the said Federal High Court, to make any Order as it may deem just in the determination of the rights of the Applicant and the Respondent as may be submitted to her for consideration and determination.’” He further stated that the Kogi State High Court specifically directed the EFCC "to bring before the said Federal High Court, or any such appropriate Court, such criminal Charge, allegation or complaint in respect of whereof the Applicant is reasonably believed by the Respondent to have committed any offence .." Therefore, by filing charges of money laundering of over N80 billion against Mr. Yahaya Bello at the Federal High Court, the EFCC has diligently complied with the order of the Kogi State High Court. In the same vein, the order made by the Federal High Court for the arrest of Mr. Yahaya Bello for the purpose of his arraignment is equally in line with the order of the Kogi State High Court... With all disrespect intended, Prof should go and lie down. |
MrGerald:@ bolded That's all that's relevant here Whatever else you have to say does not concern us... Feel free to raise it at your next Umunna village meeting... Thank you. |
DavidEsq:Lol ![]() Don't take out the pain of your miseducation on me.. Take your L and move |
nedekid:My point is that you are not in any position to assume anything about me...If I even say I was even a university fresher in 2015, how does that water down what the airline did? Face the issue of your brother being 'sharp' with the op and leave me and anything else out of it.. |
nedekid:Business ethic is in issue here Sir, not who received what national honor or who was sucking brezz when What the airline did to the op is fraud... Plain and simple... That you think the owner of the airline is Angel Michael or Albert Einstein isn't relevant to that fact You do not know me in real life.. So you cannot assume what I am or what I am not.. The fact that you jumped to a conclusion that I was still an undergrad in 2015 simply because I said someone came to "my uni" in 2015 says everything about your deductive reasoning.. You don't know if by "my uni, I had already graduated and I was then a post-grad student, or a lecturer there, or even the Vice Chancellor.... Heck I could even be the owner of the University I referred to as" my uni".. Like I said earlier, you do not know me in real life.. So it's quite a stretch for you to try to bottle my social, educational or financial class simply because I think your hero's business lacks transparency ... And it is also quite a stretch for you to defend fraud by ignoring the facts on ground and hyping the airline owner's poise, panache, etc.. That's s the crudest form of gaslighting and beating around the bush... The issue at hand is.. Wetin the airline do the op, e good? .. Address that and stop looking for who was sucking brezz in 2015. |
nedekid:All these are not relevant to issue at hand When Invictus Obi came to my uni then in 2015 to give a seminar on finance, he also came across as a "smart, educated, well travelled man of poise and finesse"... Of course we eventually discovered what kind of man he was when he was nabbed for fraud. So rest |
MrGerald:But it's your kinsmen who have elevated Transload to an avenue for crookedness and premeditated and sneaky shortchanging of customers.. This kind of shady business ethic is why no one trusts you guys... For you and your kinsmen, it's always money at all cost, regardless of whose ox is gored... If the airline knew they were going to transload the op from aeroplane to bus, why didn't they inform him of that before collecting his money?.. Till now, none of your kinsmen have answered that question.. Instead they have resorted to playing victim, finger-pointing and name calling... |
sonnie10:Keep crying blood ![]() The former owner of Arik Air is Joseph Arumemi-Ikhide your neighbor from Edo State ... Na una poison am with crooked tendencies from across the Niger ![]() Don't try to distract us from the fact that your brothers tried to pull a fast one on the op. |
LadyRosa2:What did you say they are ![]() Stop moaning and advice your kinsmen to be straightforward in business... |
ebufa:Crying and forming victim when caught red-handed in criminality na una standard modus operandi ![]() So I am not surprised you are defending your kinsman who like most of you, actively avoid being transparent in business |
sonnie10:If you know what AMCON is, you will understand why it takes over companies and why those companies are no longer owned by anyone... But since na only Transload you and your brothers sabi, carry on with the criminality |
hairyman:See epistle justifying Transload .... Plenty grammer justifying lack of business transparency Of course, you very nicely avoided the fact that the airline ought to have informed the op before collecting his money that they won't fly to his destination, thereby allowing him to choose whether to still patronise them or not. But no, op is now the criminal while the innocent airline is being unjustly harassed ![]() Don't you people have any shame? |
sonnie10:It's managed by AMCON Go find AMCON's tribe so you can wail properly |
DesChyko:And "my side" is where? So na APC say make Transload be una cultural heritage? If you people get honest in business for a minute, will you die? |
inoki247:The owner of United Nigeria Air is also Ibo like the owner of Air Peace Rest |
poseidon12:You are the one who is so sure of where I come from.. So say it I provided proof of where the airline owner comes from before drawing my conclusions.. Transload na una cultural heritage ![]() |
poseidon12:At least you have not denied the stated facts What stopped the airline from simply informing the passengers before collecting their money that Asaba passengers will be dropped at Onitsha and conveyed by road to Asaba?... Won't it be proper to allow the passengers make that choice to fly the airline or not after being supplied with that info? Unfortunately, honesty and Transparency is truly alien to you people.. |
LadyRosa2:And you know my people to be? |
After researching the owner of this airline, things easily fell into place... Na so most transporters from that side dey do ![]() The spirit of "Trans-load" that has infected all Luxurious Bus Transporters from that part of the country has also infected this airline owner.. "Transload" occurs when a transport company transfers passengers from their vehicle to another to finish a journey whose t-fare they had already collected in full.. . From the get-go, they know that they are not going to reach the desired destination, but due to their greed for the complete transport fare, they will collect it in full and then make only a part of the journey, and transfer the passengers to the cheapest junk they can find to complete the journey.. All this is done without informing the passenger about their intent to transload before collecting his money.. Travelling from point A to point B uninterrupted is alien to transporters from that side of the country.. To collect money dey sweet dem die, but to finish the task agreed na problem.. I won't be shocked that if op makes too much noise in their office about getting a refund, like 4 Agbero dey on ground to comot im teeth .. Na their standard modus operandi be that.. Refuse to complete a contract, and then have you beaten up when you complain
|
DavidEsq:When I said "the court", I didn't specify which..I meant it to cover all the courts which heard the matter Yes the High Court is the first cost to rule on damages being the court of original Juridiction.. but the appellate courts can review both damages and costs award upward or downward depending on the facts of the case, as they have done in a plethora of cases Furthermore, exemplary damages are imposed for the purpose of setting an example..Depending on the transgression, exemplary damages have no limits.. and my point is that the Courts won't have been out of line to slam PSquare with hefty exemplary damages that they won't recover from in their lifetime, because what they did was beyond despicable As per costs, that's basically costs of litigation (appearance fees, professional fees, cost of coming to court by litigant, etc) , which in law they say costs follow events.. So. I know what I said when I said "damages" instead of costs.. There is no such thing as exemplary costs, but exemplary and even punitive damages.. So yes, I know the full import of my choice of words in my earlier comment. |
The Navy knows best in this situation.. |
A pyrrhic victory After Mr Patrick has deducted his SAN's legal fees, and other monies he spent on logistics pursuing this case since 2011, I wonder how much he will have left. This is one of the reasons why people have lost confidence in the Nigerian Judiciary. Justice delayed is almost always Justice denied ![]() Even the PSquare guys are extremely wicked.. They couldn't pay off Mr Patrick when they failed to show up at his event after being paid, but they had money to pay lawyers to frustrate him and drag the matter right up to the Supreme Court ...In this kind of situation, the court further awarding exemplary damages of like 300m against PSquare would have set a deterrent against such disgusting behaviour... |
WiseDon2:Another style ![]() |
