When we tall about 'distinguishing' it means what makes it different or dat distinguishes it 4rm others...while a state has sovereingty the likes of nation-state,nation..e.t.c may also possess sovereingty...nd i feel while a state has a defined territory a nation,society,e.t.c do not really have dat...
