Antiurchins: I'm an Igbo man, but truth be told. Tinubu won't lose 2027 election.
First of all, he has never lost any political election since he was born and he will most likely not lose 2027. He is a genius of Nigerian politics and knows how to gain the support of people, he is also among the richest Nigerian politician still living right now and even richer than Atiku Abubakkar. He will use his money to buy his way again. He has the power of incumbency and won't be as weak as GEJ not to use it to his favour. I can bet it that he will most likely not lose the election. You guys made the mistake of allowing him there, now you guys have to wait for 8yrs Abi you don't know how to stay on topic? |

Moral lesson: never leave your job, untill you get another one, and even if you get another one first take permission that you are traveling from your current job and go test the new job first may be it worth, ireee oooo Some even take their leave that period to check things out first. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: I Got A Federal Appointment, Resigned From My Job... And Now I'm Hanging by arantess: 7:00am On May 02, 2025 |
Odaolivia: Good evening Nairalanders, Please permit me to share my story anonymously because I need advice, and maybe, just maybe, someone here might have experienced something similar or can help.
In May 2023, I received a long-awaited federal appointment offer from a top government financial institution. It felt like a dream come true. The offer letter clearly stated that I had to resign from my current job before documentation, so I did.
At the time, I was working with a leading commercial bank. I had stability, was on track for confirmation as full staff, and was doing well. But I made the tough decision to resign because I didn’t want to disobey the instructions in the appointment letter. I believed that better things were ahead.
Unfortunately, that belief is what’s hurting me today.
Since then ,no induction, no documentation, no follow-up. Nothing. The management of the institution changed shortly after we received the offer, and since then, it has been complete silence.
I’m not the only one. There are many others like me — young Nigerians who resigned, relocated, and gave up good jobs or businesses for this opportunity. A few are now depressed. Some haven’t recovered financially. And worst of all, we have no official statement telling us whether to keep hoping or move on.
Right now, I am unemployed, struggling, and confused. Did I make a mistake by trusting the system? How do I explain to people that I resigned from a bank job based on a federal offer that never materialized?
This is not a pity post. I’m just tired. Maybe someone here knows what we can do, or whom to speak to. Please, if you’ve ever experienced something similar or have helpful advice, I’m listening.
Thank you for reading. This is what I hate about this country nigeria, no continuity Once a new government or oga enters office, everything pause, destroys the previous agreements, renege on a lot of contracts.....why Nigeria? why? This same thing happened in ministry of defense. A team was sent across nigeria, monies and hotel bills paid and spent over weeks exercise, recommendations done, oya issue appointment letters....oga push everything one side and carry on as if nothing happened. @op I don't blame you because it was stated that you should resign first, but me I would not have resigned as long as they wouldn't know if I had done that. I urge you to stand fast and strong, don't be discouraged. Keep praying to God perhaps they will dust up the files and you guys start work. nigeria I hail thee |

MONEY247: I was speaking with a lady colleague and she shared with me a story about her husband... According to her she said she does everything, I mean everything for her husband... From sexual needs to food to respect to whatever you can think of...to please him.
When she discovered/suspected he was cheating she went on to learn various sexual styles, even to the extent of watching pornography... just to make the bedroom game sweet for her husband....
This man still went ahead continuing the affair outside the marriage... She threatened to leave the marriage and call it quits when he came back to his senses... And became the family Man... I can tell this woman is still beautiful, she keeps herself clean and classy....
My question is this, what makes a married man to commit adultery or cheat... Just what... Why do married women cheat? |

papyjaypaul: You people should keep chasing competition. Be using your kids as tennis balls from cradle till they get old. It's a failure in family system if you have to pay someone else to mine your child at a very young age. You need to reconsider your priorities. Are you producing a good or a child?
If you give birth only to keep working as a slave and not enjoying the child you birthed, you made a wrong decision as a parent. Just keep slaving for your employer until you are ready to be a functional parent. You can't outsource your parenting. School age is 4/5 years But Nigerians will argue |

But in our darling country Nigeria, If politicians go on air, it’s mostly to insult their fellow citizens or act like they are being forced to lead...... Hmmmmmm this is deep!
