Has anyone tried it |
FarmTech:I am yet to start the farm mate. But most multicrop threshers will do it. Just go to Jiji or Alibaba and look for bean thresher. I'm not sure I'm allowed to post pictures. You can go to Jiji Ghana for instance and search for multicrop threshers. There are small/medium size ones that can do maize, soybeans, sesame, millet, sunflower , sorghum etc costing about 13,000 cedi |
Farmerakinloye6:I am from Ghana but on Nairaland Forum since 2010. From what I've learnt so far it seems our ecology and seasons are similar in both Naija and Ghana only. |
Thanks. That's what's in my mind but I was a bit wishful that I could use the land right now instead of waiting for 2.5 months to plant them. I have another question, I have 20 acres. If I plant cassava on 5 acres now, will I be able to cut the stems by July to plant on the remaining 15 acres? That is buy only a quarter of the stems I need, plant now and harvest stems to be planted with intercropped beans or maize in July. Has anyone done that before? |
excanny:Thanks. Southern Ghana is not known for beings either. My farm is more in the middle of the two. Just that the second season here resembles the conditions in the north😊 |
I would like to know if I plant cassava now, can I still plant corn or beans inside the cassava after two months? The reason is that I need the beans or corn to dry on the field but don't want to wait to plant all after June? If I plant the beans now and harvest it in July, can I thresh it using mukticrop thresher after uprooting or cutting without first picking the pods and drying them? In the north se have a single season so we just harvest them dry but my new farm is in the south where they have two seasons hence my confusion |
I am a Ghanaian who's enjoyed NLF for more than a decade. I plan to cultivate cowpea and soybean now to be harvested around late July. It will still be raining small small. I'm from the north where the crop dries before we harvest but I bought farmland in the south where they farm twice a year. We just cut or uproot the beans in the north and put the whole plant in the thresher without picking the pods. I would like to know if this is also possible for beans harvested in July as there may be a little more moisture. It would be difficult picking the pods from 5 to 15 acres before threshing. Thanks |
there's also a cctv channel this morning. no picture no audio. there's no error message like no video or no audio signal. is problem from my multitv decoder or its general problem. NB: multixtra now has bad/no video or audio signal and not the annoying multitv just thrills ..... pix. |

it depends on how much u browse. if you browse on fon alone it 100mb should take you the whole month unless u download video. if u connect the fon to pc , then its another matter. u'll have ta buy more mbs or subcribe to a higher bundle package. in ghana 166mb from mtn cost 5cedis ie around 40 us cents or 0.4 dollar. so u may try pay as you go. note that you must buy a special mtn data sim card to get this feature for its much costly to use the ordinary mtn sim for browsing. u can check out at the nearest mtn care for u centre. wish u de best arbayong |
