EventsRe: Lagos Shuts Down Event Centre Where Petrol Was Distributed As Souvenir by ArchiLimited: 6:27pm On Mar 05, 2022
Yes the people who thought of this as souvenir are really dumb. But then we should also be more worried that things have gotten to the point where people felt that giving petrol as souvenir would go viral. What a country
SportsRe: See Nigeria's Squad List To Face Ghana In World Cup Playoffs As Lookman Debuts by ArchiLimited: 8:09am On Mar 05, 2022
Once world cup is near, everybody that can't find shirt in his country of choice will suddenly remember he's eligible to play for one country through his great grand mother's aunt. Is this the first time that Lookman has been called to play for Nigeria and refused? Very soon now even Dele Alli will remember that he has Nigerian roots, all because of world cup. It's ok we move. Meanwhile I'm pissed to see Emmanuel Dennis in that squad
PoliticsRe: Olusegun Obasanjo Foundation (OOF) Celebrates Olusegun Obasanjo As He Turns 85 by ArchiLimited: 7:42am On Mar 05, 2022
Hmm. Funny enough this is also how, some years down the line, Buhari's birthday will also be celebrated and the same we that are cursing him now will pour accolades on him. We cursed Obasanjo when he was president. Same thing Jonathan. Now they're both respected elder statesmen.
Nigerians are always quick to forget. That's why these politicians are audacious. Because they know we will only shout and bicker for a limited time because we don't take interest in things for too long, then afterwards everything goes back to normal and then they can settle down to enjoy their stolen wealth. Then the cycle starts again.

Pakistan, India, Iran, NK are all rallying behind Russia. And they're all nuclear powers.

I just wish Russian forces would capture or kill this Zelensky guy.

It'll send a very strong message to the west. But atm Kyiv is impenetrable, a hard nut to crack.
Just see what a human being is wishing undecided
SportsRe: FIFA And UEFA Suspend All Russian Clubs And National Teams From All Competitions by ArchiLimited:
It really baffles me that anytime I open any Russia related thread here on Nairaland, I always see some supposed Nigerians going all the way in support of Putin's war all in a bid to come across as educated and informed on what's going on in the west. One even said civilians can die as long as Putin teaches the west a lesson and so many other seemingly intelligent gibberish. You see them asserting matters as if they are inside Putin's cabinet. One even claimed kyiv will fall in 2 days. This guy even knows the war more than Putin! These so called online war veterans will run away when 2 bikemen are fighting each other. Ask them to go to Borno and offer their supposed war wisdom there and watch them switch off their phones. I have a message for you all: shame on you!

When you go online to lift what someone in a foreign land and economy wrote, then paste on a Nigerian forum where the economy is different, systems are different, everything is different. I really wonder the correlation.

I so love Pique and Shakira's union. As high profile as they both are, you never hear of scandal or public clout chasing, even the issues they were having was all being handled maturely and privately as it's supposed to be, unlike some overnight yeyebrity couples who will be lying on the same bed while confessing love to each other on Instagram

SportsRe: Media Coverage Is Disrespectful To AFCON - Ian Wright by ArchiLimited: 5:15pm On Dec 30, 2021
paulolee:
comrade u are talking a totally different thing entirely....Ian is just asking for more respect from the European body n u talking about Africans outside the shore that aint proud of dier roots based on their own personal reasons..
they is something about being loyal to your roots n dts wat command pride n ready to die for your roots...its a personal decision n it can be forced on someone..
for example, a rich kid dt is being sponsored from a rich home in Nigeria n doing well in England can be easily convinced to come play in Nigeria team even if england also Gv him a callup than a poor struggling guy dt hustled his way out of the shores of this country n also did well in England n get a callup, the poor guy will easily choose england than playing for Nigeria...
this is simply bcoz Nigeria favored the rich kid n he would be proud to serve. die for his country but if failed the poor lad n to him, Nigeria do not deserve his service...
loyalty cnt be given to a system that once failed you.....its personal stuff
In other words, the African system failed all African players in Europe? And for that they don't owe Africa any loyalty? I wonder why they're coming to play for their African countries then since they don't owe them any loyalty, they should all change nationality to Europe. Your talk no follow abeg
SportsRe: Media Coverage Is Disrespectful To AFCON - Ian Wright by ArchiLimited:
Even Africans are disrespectful to Africa. Most Africans, including the ones living in the west, are actually not proud of their roots. A typical example from this article, we can see that only ONE out of the hundreds of Europe based African players have spoken out in defence of AFCON amidst the western media backlash. I listened to Trevoh Noah talking about his African roots with great pride on American national TV without any apology and I was like, this is it. If all Africans talked like this about Africa, trust me we've gotten on the right track.
