Prophet Wale Olagunju, the presiding Bishop, Divine Seed of God Chapel Ministries has spoken on the state of the nation saying 'It is not in the mind set of God for Buhari to rule beyond May 2019'. In a recent interview with City People, the man of God said, 'let me give you my own Biblical view, whenever there is injustice there will be no peace. Forget about those Bishops who are saying it shall be well with Nigeria. I am a die-hard supporter of Buhari in those days. One, to me his war against corruption is too selective. Buhari should know that corruption is a sin against God and mankind, so war against it should be total'. According to him, 'I expect him to restructure Nigeria to balance the equation, He should conduct transparent censors to address the injustice that is going on in this country, create job opportunity for the youths who are roaming the street and address the problem of tribalism in the nation, correct the lopsided appointment that is going on in the Armed Forces; Custom; Immigration; Nigerian Police; Federal Ministries! Parastatals. It is not in the mind set of God for Buhari to rule beyond May 29,2019. Look at the just concluded bye-election in Oyo State, yes, PDP floored APC hands down. This is just the beginning of what awaits Buhari and his APC come 2019; as earlier predicted by me in my prophesy of 2017 and 2018'. He added that, 'let me be frank and declare before God of Heaven and the whole heart, even if Buhari should red-carpet the whole nation, Buhari and his APC would not win the 2019 presidential election. In my 2017 prophesy, the Lord told me He would raise adversaries against him and even his own kinsmen, the Hausas would disown him. What are we witnessing now? The Lord gave me the signs through my prophesy; there is no way he can win. Some Nigerians in their own thinking has said that Buhari is a man of Integrity .. Where lies the integrity in the life of Buhari when he chose his own people the Fulanis to manage the security affairs of this nation, shedding innocent blood on daily basis, marginalizing the Christians and the Ibos has no say in the affairs of Nigerian nation. Why? To me the thinking of those who are supporting Buhari today is upside down. Under Buhari, the government doesn’t value integrity and value system is no more'. Brazilian star, Neymar, has declared that he is not worth the €222 million (£200m/$262m) Paris Saint-Germain paid to sign him from Barcelona last summer. Neymar became the world’s most expensive player when the Ligue 1 giants paid the release clause to free him from Barcelona. The attacker showed his worth in PSG in his first year until an injury brought a premature end to his campaign. The 26-year-old has said that PSG paid him over, but says he has always wanted to be seen as a “special” player. Neymar told Spox, “I’m not proud of the transfer fee, nor of the fact that I’m the most expensive player ever. That’s just money and nothing else. I cannot help it. Personally, I would have paid less for myself. “I always wanted to be special. That was my goal very early – actually from the moment I started playing football for a club. That was at the age of 11. It may sound clumsy, but from then on I’ve tried to get better every single day and get to my best. “I really worked and sacrificed every day of my life to become a professional one day. That was the only dream I ever had. I dreamed of playing for Santos’s first team, being invited to the national team and one day going to Europe. It was not foreseeable at the time that I would succeed, but I kept thinking about it. There was nothing else for me. “I’m proud that I’ve achieved my childhood goal. That was, and is, most important to me. As a player, you always have to show who you are and assert yourself. Just referring to the transfer fee does not help you and says nothing about how good you really are.” Source: https://barewa.com.ng/neymar-has-declared-that-he-is-not-worth-the-e222-million-that-psg-overpaid-to-sign-him/ |

BOLA Tinubu, a Chieftain of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), has opined why President Muhammadu Buhari deserves a second term in office. Delivering his address at the official conferment ceremony of the award of the Grand Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (GCFR) on the late MKO Abiola on Tuesday, the APC chieftain said the president should be given another chance to do more. “Farewell to poverty, it’s not a question of a second term – you deserve it. We’re going to work for it, no annulment of it, we are going to win with you,” Tinubu said while describing the president’s bid for re-election as a struggle to expel poverty not only in Nigeria but in Africa as a whole. “It’s the struggle of Africa to banish poverty. You are investing in education; which is the greatest weapon against poverty, you’re feeding our children, we are no longer paying for darkness and we are able to feed ourselves, not importing toothpicks anymore, thank you Mr President,” he added. On the honour given to Abiola, the former Lagos State Governor said regardless of what people say, the President should remain rest assured that he made a good move and always has his support. “You made a promise that you will be committed to transparency, rule of law and bring about compliance with the constitutional democracy, you’ve done it now. “Yes, the authors, writers, columnists will come up with all sorts of analysis about why you did it, yes you did it. “The creed of the campaign of the man whom you honoured principally, was hope. “Thank you for bringing hope back to Nigerians,” Tinubu said. A man has confessed to slitting his four-year-old daughter’s throat in a sacrifice to God during Ramadan. He says he was possessed by the devil at the time and, to be free, he had to sacrifice his most prized possession to Allah. 26-year-old Nawab Ali Qureshi previously denied killing Rizwana and accused a family cat of being responsible, according to Times of India. But he reportedly admitted to the murder on Friday, claiming he had been possessed by a devil and "I had to offer my most prized possession to Allah". Qureshi had apparently recited passages from the Koran before killing his daughter in Jodhpur, India, the Indian Express reported. He was said to have confessed after his wife Shabana went to the police and accused him of murder after finding their daughter dead at around 3am. Man confesses to slitting his 4-year-old daughter Qureshi, a meat shop owner, reportedly said: "I am a devout Muslim and love my daughter more than my life. For several days she was at her grandmother’s place and returned on Thursday. I took her to the marketplace and bought sweetmeats and fruits. In the night I took her to the courtyard downstairs, recited a kalima, killed her, and then went back to sleep upstairs." A Pastor at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Emmanuel Ikechukwu, has declared his intention to run for the office of the President in 2019. Declaring his intention in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Ikechukwu disclosed that his mission was to rescue the nation from ‘economic doldrums.” Ikechukwu, a Pastor at Rivers state Province 10 of the RCCG, declared for the 2019 Presidency under former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s inspired African Democratic Congress, ADC. He said, “When this (Buhari’s) government came up with this anti corruption corruption issue and made it a focal point, it scared a lot of investors away. You don’t scare people away. You try to see how you can tackle the economy. “Though corruption needs to be taken care of, you cannot eradicate it from any human environment. What you need to do is to focus on basic challenges that intensify corruption. If you fix the economy, insecurity, corruption would be taken care of. “We need to tackle unemployment and insecurity. And the assured way to achieve that is to create industries through conscious technological advancement” improving the economy is not rocket science. “What a government needs to do is effective partnership with the private sector to develop education, infrastructures, build industries to create jobs, reduce employment, and partner financial institutions to support sustenance of small and medium scale enterprises for the masses through cooperatives financing. “At 40 and given my background and experience, I have all it takes to steer the ship of the nation from prolong economic doldrums. People say it is easier said than done, that when you get there, a lot of things will overwhelm you. “I say to them nothing can overwhelm me. It is not rocket science. To fix the economy and create jobs is not something we will get from outer space. The opportunities, human or natural resources, are around us, all a genuine change agent needs is the will and I have it.” SOURCE: https://barewa.com.ng/rccg-pastor-declares-for-presidency-under-obasanjos-adc/

"I did not feel anything killing him, human being is the same thing as animals," a man from Borno state said as he confessed to killing his friend for the purpose of taking his heart for money making rituals. The Lagos State police command arrested four persons for the murder of their friend, Isaiah James. Following interrogation at the homicide section of the State Criminal and Intelligence Department (SCID), Panti, Yaba, one of the suspects, simply identified as Daniel, confessed to the crime. He said: We are from Chibok in Maiduguri, Borno State. We are four that killed our friend, Isaiah James, for ritual purposes, though it was not our initial plan to do so. We wanted to do charms to excel in advance fee fraud, known as 419, but the native doctor who we consulted told us that he won’t do charms for us with regards 419. We asked why and he told us that we are not educated. He told us that we should be literate before we can do 419 successfully. We asked if there was another alternative and he said he would perform a ritual out of sympathy for us. He told us to provide a human heart. That was the beginning of our problems. When the herbalist told us to bring a human heart, we told him to help us organise it. He promised to do so and charged us N100,000. We paid him N60,000 and promised to balance the N40,000. Few days later, the native doctor called us to say that one of his boys who he sent on the mission for the human heart hunting was shot in the hand by vigilance group members. He said he won’t be able to provide us with the heart and asked us to provide it ourselves. According to Daniel, they became confused on their next plan of action until the gang leader identified as Audu, suggested that he would lure his cousin, who is also a friend of Daniel's, to the place where they would kill him and pluck out his heart for the ritual, Guardian reports. Daniel continued: We called him on phone and told him to meet us at a drinking joint in Ajah, Lagos. He agreed to meet us. He did not suspect foul play and was comfortable with us. We met at night and we started drinking local gin until the wee hours. We bought him fried yam. At about 1:00a.m. we said we should go home. As we were walking home, Audu who was armed with a knife, said he was going to urinate. So all of us including our target joined Audu to a corner to urinate. It was at that corner that we all rushed at him, pulled him down and hit him with hard objects and Audu stabbed him. When we noticed that he was dying, Ayuba butchered him, searched inside, but he could not find the heart. I collected the knife from him and put my hand inside, I found the heart. His heart was still alive and pumping blood, I pulled it out with the help of the knife. We took it to the native doctor at Ijebu Ode, Ogun State. He used it to prepare beans for us. He promised that after eating the beans porridge, we would start making big money. He said that anything we laid our hands must prosper. He requested for the N40,000 balance which we paid him. We had just finished the meal when the police came to pick me. A lady who saw us the night we killed Isaiah, told his people that she saw us in company of Isaiah. We are all from Chibok in Maiduguri. When the police came to me, I confessed. I did not feel anything killing him, human being is the same thing as animals. My regret is that we did not succeed in making the money and that the native doctor escaped arrest. The African Democratic Congress, which has been adopted by Obasanjo, has warned the Federal Government that it will shut down the Presidential Villa if Obasanjo is harmed. The Chairman of the ADC, Chief Okey Nwosu, said this during a telephone interview with THE PUNCH correspondent on Friday. Nwosu said having failed to deliver on its campaign promises, the Buhari-led government had resorted to hounding opposition members into submission. He said when Obasanjo was supporting Buhari during the run-up to the 2015 general elections; he was described as an advocate of change by Buhari and his supporters, but the same man was now being treated as a criminal because he was speaking against the government. The ADC chairman said, “What we are witnessing is the desperation of a failed government. When you have mediocre persons that are not focused on handling state power, they often go to dictatorial levels to try to achieve their aim but this time, the people of Nigeria and God are on our side and we will do what our country needs. “President Obasanjo cannot be touched. When in 2014 and 2015, he was in the vanguard of trying to effect change because of the situation then, they were applauding him as the champion of a new Nigeria. “Now that things have gone wrong in the area of security and economy and he is speaking out, they are now chasing the champion of new Nigeria. We will mobilise the whole of Nigeria to take over Aso Rock Villa if the government steps out of line.” But two civil society organisations, Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project and the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights, said Obasanjo should be ready to face trial if there was any evidence of financial mismanagement traced to his administration. The SERAP Director, Adetokunbo Mumuni, said the former President’s alarm of a witch-hunt by President Buhari was unnecessary as the anti-graft agencies must carry out their statutory responsibilities. Mumuni said, “The truth of the matter is that Buhari should not be the one to set the EFCC against anybody; the anti-graft agency should do its job, investigate allegations of crime against anybody and begin prosecution. That Obasanjo is crying foul will not stop the agencies from going after him, if indeed there are admissible evidences against him. “I don’t think we should listen to Obasanjo. Rather, we should let the EFCC do what is legally appropriate and prosecute anyone who is supposed to be prosecuted. If Obasanjo has a case to answer, he should be ready to have his day in court under the due process.” Also the CDHR President, Malachy Ugwummadu, said, “Obasanjo should not play to the gallery. For me, it will be a huge positive development if this government can muster enough courage to take on Obasanjo. “If the government has credible information or evidence to take on Obasanjo, it will clearly show that all the people in the league of former presidents can be taken up.” SOURCE: https://barewa.com.ng/aso-rock-will-be-shutdown-if-obasanjo-is-touched-adc/

Sources can exclusively report that Super Eagles skipper John Obi Mikel and his vice captain Ogenyi Onazi are on a collision course in camp ahead of the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup. According to our camp source, both players are no longer on talking terms and the tussle for leadership is distracting other players in camp. “If we must do well in Russia, the NFF must ensure they resolve the wrangling between Mikel and Onazi. Both players I can confirm are not in talking terms and this could cost the team at the World Cup. “As we speak, the tussle is a big distraction for the team. Some players have also pitched their tents with either Mikel or Onazi in the struggle. “Though, the reason for tussle is not known yet but some people felt it was due Onazi’s insistence on not taking orders from Mikel,” our source revealed. Onazi was listed for action as the Eagles suffered a one nil loss to Czech Republic Wednesday. The three-time African champions have now lost two friendlies consecutively in their buildup ahead of the World Cup. Efforts to confirm the development proved abortive as the Super Eagles’ media officer failed to replay his WhatsApp message at press time. The FG has scrapped Award of HND Certificates by Polytechnics. The decision was reached at the Federal Executive Council, FEC, on Wednesday where the approval of a comprehensive reform of Nigeria’s tertiary education system was made. In effect, the award of HND will be limited to only the students currently admitted for the programmes. Also, all the programmes currently being run by polytechnics, which are not technology-based, and which are about 70%, will be scrapped. Under the new rule, the polytechnics will now become campuses of the proximate universities with the Vice Chancellors of those universities appointing provosts for the polytechnics, subject to the ratification of the Universities Councils. The polytechnics will now be limited to award of the National Diploma (ND) while those desirous of further education will be awarded the Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) by the proximate university. To kick-start the new policy, the nation’s two most prominent polytechnics – Yaba College of Technology and Kaduna Polytechnic – will henceforth be known as City University of Technology, Yaba and City University of Technology, Kaduna.
